# Stroke-Strive For Greatness -Let's Talk Stroke With Stacy Larson, OTR

My name is Stacy Larson and I have been an Occupational Therapist for almost 3 years. I currently work at New Braunfels Regional Rehabilitation Hospital (NBRRH) in the outpatient department. I am passionate about helping patients reach their highest functional level after injury.
I am currently getting my specialty training in neuro re-education to work with individuals who have experienced a stroke but it has been put on hold due to COVID-19. I lead the Stroke support group that meets the 3rd Thursday of each month at the hospital, which has also been put on hold. Due to many activities being put on hold, me and a fellow OT created andare launching a Driving Readiness Program at (NBRRH) to ensure patient's safety behind the wheel and maintain independence after a neurological event.
Personally, I have been married for 8 years to my wonderful husband. We have a daughter, Hannah, who is 6 years old. We live in Schertz, TX with 2 dogs, a cat, a bunny and multiple fish. I enjoy hiking,reading and completing projects at home from painting to refurbishing furniture.
