- [www.rollit.co.nz] Feeding out hay as a drystock and small lifestyle block farmer is a pain. You're limited to small bales unless you have the capital to throw down on a tractor and feed out equipment.
I have come up with a solution which lets you wrap bales and leave them in a paddock and then feed them to animals without the waste, without the effort and in a fraction of the time.

I built one of these 15 years ago and still use it today.. Guess I should have patent mine lol. Never thought anyone would use it.
Just a idea/ As a old farmer you may want to meet or befriend a farmer in your area this way any question you may not know about farming he will there for you .Believe it or not us old guys like helping young people like you .We can see the passion for farm life /you are doing a very good job.

This is perfect for what I need!!! What is the bar that goes through the bale and where to get that? This is great. We don't unroll, just need an easier and quicker way to move bales.
The bale is rolled out on top of cow droppings in some instances which is not good and waste would be high I think.

Pretty handy for a few head on the home pasture. Don’t need to get the tractor out or anything

its a good idea for what it is. obviuosly not for everyone but it does fill a market.
This is truly really very good for somebody with no tractor and just a small holding ,easy to store easy to move you turn the baile into a wheelhow fantastic ,

the only time that you would need this would be if u didn't have a front loader , but if you don't have a front loader how do you take the bale off the stack and get it lined up

Good bit of gear great for hilly country and great for smaller blocks whose budget doesn't cover loaders/tractors. And if you have one of these why feed out with a big machine anyway this is cheaper

Because we don't all have a tractor big enough to move round bales.

That looks like the biggest pain in the ass way to feed round bales I've ever seen. Also, never seen round bales that small...might as well just get square you can handle and save time and effort vs this set up, plus save all that plastic waste

This method is very wasteful, owned 4 horses and this would cause alot of wastage through the being pissed on, shit on and trampled. Leaving it out as whole chunk would make the bail last 2-3 days longer of feeding.

You would want double wrapping
sure good luck getting that shaft though the bale, the bales are so tight you van hammer on it for an hour and luck to be half way, when my ex cheating wife sold my tractor on me, i needed a way to feed, so i built one like this so i could pull with my truck, but being 40 below, and really tight bales i couldnt get the 1" shaft though,,,

That’s what DewEz truck beds were made for plus if you had a real bale of hay the 4 wheeler wouldn’t be able to pull it even if it were perfectly round.
