Killer tune! Overall bassline feel is 88-89 Mayday, stripped down and looped, not the frentic, choppy changey jazz-influenced sensibilities of May's own work. Stripping down Mayday, adding some Reese synth pads, and looping was the basic recipe for Robin Wants Revenge, a massive underground UK smash in 1989, and this feels like its on the same tip.
