I have used a similar tool to the Data Shark and it is slick, money well spent if you do any volume of terminations. I wish a tool like this would have been available years ago; the time it would have saved me terminating 10s of thousands of jacks.
I use the standard blue/orange tool, works great. I can see a few places where this would be easier than a standard punch down; like a ceiling mount. One thing. When you’re reading off your cards don’t hold it right in front of your face. Hold it to the side.
Great Video! I've been demoing the Belden Rev Connect at work lately... Pretty slick system and easy to replace a jack when the user moves a desk and breaks the jack.
I was just repairing a punch down in my home where the installer must have used his favorite shortcut. It worked for about two years and then failed. Wish I had this tool.
FYI my punch down tool an ideal looks just like that too it has a reversible fitting give it a tug or a Twist in a tug you may be surprised to find your ideal is too
I know this is an old video but, what kind of shortcuts are we talking about? Would be good to know for us noobs. Maybe you've already done a video about it.
Too bad its NOT available on Amazon in Germany (I am Form the Netherlands and this is the only available Amazon store which ships to the Netherlands..). But I really like the termination tool a lot!
I'm kind of a fluke snob. I currently use their punch down tool.. I need to see if they have something like that.. I will say, after 10 or so my fingers get raw from all of the punches
I’m wrapping up my first big cabling job I got on my own, 102 drops, 190 keystones and 14 RJ45s. Ordered one of these to save my hands and sanity.
Thanks Willie, have a great day tomorrow!
Schoolhouse Rock...Rocks! Merry Christmas :)
but do we have to buy a specific keystone to work with this tool

How can I purchase this product
For the record, I don’t have Willie’s punch down tool. 😃 I buy my own.
Went to buy one off the link and it only shows used ones available?
I was skeptical but that was legit and clean!
Cool tool, going to need one for my new house 😁🎄🎁
Agree entirely about investing in the right tools - spot on. But what do you think of toolless jacks?

I love the revconnect tool and Jack's.
I have the ICC version and it comes with 2 different termination head styles HD and EZ
You make me spend money on stuff I really don't need. Bought the RJ45 pass trough. Now I'll probably buy this bad boy.

Your keystone tool link only pulls up a used listing at Amazon.
Thanks for the video =)

happy xmas too !
Willie, you've duplicated the link for the Cable Matters crimper for the Fluke Networks one.

So you lent out your tool to a "tool?";) "Someone" the tool man? OK, kidding aside, another great video Willie! More stuff I need to buy!

Check out the Actassi tool-less jacks availible in europe. They are even better.
It happened, pet hate, people who untwist the pairs too far back. Keep twists right to the slots.
@@WillieHowe LOL, was seeing if I could get more of a rise buddy.

I use this to check afterwards.. I'll make a mistake every couple of years
Hello sir
Nah. I made my own cables as a beginner, today I only use terminated Ethernet wires.
Why waste the time and money making inferior cables/connections?
It's not inferior when done properly, sometimes you need custom lengths, and I am unaware of any cables with pre-installed keystones
shave the beard! :)
Thats not a beard... as it says on the wall of my barbers: Its not facial hair, it's awesomeness coming out of your face!
that tool is junk
