  • #Heritage #Winnipeg. Sad to see a big department store empty. There comes a time that people do not know what to do with old buildings. This building in Winnipeg was built very strong. The Hudson Bay department stores are shutting down due to competition. Some of the stores are remaining open. they are still selling items on their website.
now the city of Winnipeg is in a conundrum. They don't know what to do with this beautiful building. We had another beautiful building called Eaton's. And they tore that down for the Winnipeg Jets. so I had an idea. let's make this building the new city hall. The Old City Hall built in the 1960s looks like some Russian oligarch building built in a communist country. And is an embarrassment to Winnipeg. It is time for a change if you agree with me please leave a comment.
Heritage Winnipeg had a question on what to do with this building. As there are no financiers for the next coming years. Due to the epidemic we are having. We don't need another police station. Because they moved into the old post office. We don't need another library because that Library has been fixed up like new. We don't need any more community centres or meeting places. We need a new city hall. and this would make the perfect spot. With its downtown location. All it needs is a better new fancy parking lot. And maybe a new building next to it.
thank you for watching my video. Please leave a thumbs-up And subscribe. All music is from the TH-cam Library.

Yes that is a good idea and reopen the paddle wheel just like it was. To be honest i hate Winnipeg now feels like i am in east Indian or the Philippines. I feel like a minority in my own city and it feels like getting your heart ripped out why are they doing this to us?
