Let’s discuss Alia Bhatt’s Sari designed by Sabyasachi for the 2024 Met Gala and its 23 foot long train! #aliabhatt #sabyasachi #indiansari #weddingsari #metgala #metgala2024 #metgalafashion
I had a sweet Canadian roommate whom I dressed up in a saree. She looked so stunning, even she couldn't believe her eyes. I think atleast one saree should be in one's wardrobe.
I completely loved the way you described the sari and finally someone acknowledged that Indian civilization is 5000 years old, much before Britain existed.
I read an article about the history of Met gala and its art museum and how much the proceedings go to charity, and i am so appreciative towards everyone appreciating Alia's look, it truly is a surreal moment for all of her fans including myself❤
I'm from India 🇮🇳, you truly beautifully described saree 🥻🙏❤️ Saree & bindi are pride of india 🇮🇳 with more than 5000 yrs old history. Thank you foraling video on it Love from Bharat 🇮🇳❤️🤗
@@whitetiger3031 Thanks to the Gora(British) we have adopted English words for everything including our own Indian clothes... Our Saadi becomes saree, choli becomes blouse and people have forgotten what a saree peticoat is called in their native language..in Marathi it's parkar, paavada in tamil, saayaa in hindi, ghagra in gujrati... Sad isn't it, many just call it peticoat. Our next gen may not even know their mother tongue vocablury!
Thank You for your recognition but the racism was at it's peak that night. The way these left side photographers beginning of the stairs snubbed Sabyasachi Mukherjee, they literally were laughing at him, discussing how they don't even know him. And quickly shouted by saying THANK YOU, it means you may go now so that they can capture Lea Michele who was just next to Sabyasachi. It shows how they treats every brown skin people. It was visible. If you see their live arrivals you will definitely get this. It's not only with Sabyasachi but they did the same with other brown people too. And you know what Just lack of awareness brought us to these. Forget about White Celebrities(which are rational) but Indian goes gaga over white people even roaming like a homeless in indian street. But the fact is white american only cares about either white or black(after decades of protest). And it needless to mention how much racial attack we indian are facing on our everyday life almost everypart of the so called developed countries including such a widely popular Canada! Let us take this matter seriously and we must act like Black community, today they are being heard because of their courageous nature and strong bonding with each other. Again thank you for your recognition and discussion. God Bless You 🙏🏻 ❤
Bro it was true for mostly every foreign celeb.. it made me sad how stray kids a popular K-pop group was treated.. ngl I would have thrown hands. Calling them emotionless robots and asking them to jump.. Sabyasachi is a designer makes sense they wouldn’t know.. But more than racism it’s the ignorance that hurts. When celebs are invited and 200 to that, you should know they aren’t random people, how you treat them shows American society and what they think about you.
@@Dara_107 ikr! They even were laughing and passing nonsense comments on kpop guys too. And some people are now coming out with a defensive theory, safe guarding those photographers saying it's not possible to know each and everyone! I mean EXCUSE ME! that's their job to know each and everyone. They were called, appointed and getting paid to know each and every guest's name and how to treat them, Those Photographers were not any random tiktokers who were just time passing holding a camera, they were literally professional photographers! These kinda cheap behavior need to stop and Anna Wintour should come out and adress this issue so that in future no other foreign celebrities and their fans have to go through this kinda humiliation! What rubbish! What's the point calling them and snubbing them and saying 'Thaaaaank Youuuuu', 'we are done.. we are done'!
Very well noted ….I have said it many reviews regarding this dress but they disappointed me…but u captured it really well. Another thing which I think I should add is that even though the saree looks modern interpretation but oddly it isn’t, this styling with fringe and the toule fabric is taken from Parsi community of India. It was a great hit during 1950s but is coming back with a lot of Bollywood celebrities like Katrina Kaif wore it during her marriage ceremony.
You’re so right about this saree and Alia. ❤️. Alia has been non stoppable, Winning at everything in life it seems. She got the handsome, most talented, most desirable, loving man that others hate and envy her for, a most beautiful blue eyed lil baby girl, she's been the top, most talented actress and a cash cow at the box office, she’s intelligent smart witty and confident and she enjoys great wealth and family relations but above all, she manages to be humble, simple and grounded. She and her sis in law are my favorite actresses.
Loved you made this video and researched so much about Saree. Kudos to you! I absolutely loved this piece by Sabya! He is the greatest Indian designer! Just a side note, his name is pronounced as “Sabya - Sachi “ 😊
It’s crazy dumb bc I did google how others said it and then I sped the recording up and it it warped his and alias name and shortened saree to sari sounding like sorry 😂😅
It’s funny bc I did research how to say it but then sped the recoding up and it warped that and Alia to sound like Aliyah and saree to sorry but I already had the thing recorded
Sabya-sachi. That's the right pronounciation :) Glad to see Alia and Sabyasachi getting their recognition :) Also, Mona Patel in Iris Van Herpen also killed it. But ofc, a saree always WINS
This was one of the most Beautiful dress of the Met Gala ! If only the host had any Idea of craftsmanship and hand embroidery done in India to be able to appreciate what was one of the Best ! It fitted well with the theme of the History of Art Museum and the Met Gala. Congratulations to Sabhyasachi for designing and getting this made !
Well did you watch the Miss World event held in India 3 months back. There was a Indian traditional costume round for everybody and I can't pick the best looking one, because everyone looked so beautiful.
I liked every thing about this saree and her look. One think I personally would improve is the colours. Brighter colours would have represented nature and indian culture in much better way.
Exquisite. In India, even the ordinary sari worn by women as business wear look like something a woman of another country would wear to a party. I've seen them on TH-cam videos.
Why alias's outfit slayed at the met Gala Saree colour (pastel) ✅ Saree theme(floral)✅ Hair styling (curling)✅ Make-up (light)✅ Last but not the least alias's natural beauty 😍

@@JessCroninDesignsno worries it is definitely a harder name to pronounce out of Indian names. Sabhya- Sachi.. but when in doubt you can just say sabya
