Sometimes we pat our head for taking it to the top (lol not vigorously) We also use the 🤙🏾 to invert And then we use 👍🏾 pointing back over your shoulder to move on to the next cadence or segment… like let’s say we rehearsed a tag with The Hallelujah anthem and on the “death could not hold you down”, we tag to “death could not hold you” from what a beautiful name… we’ll use that sign
Beautifully done! Short, sweet, to-the-point, great enunciation, clear examples. Thanks! Sending this to my team as we start that journey... Any advice for keyboard leaders? They typically call audibles. Then there's the part about visual communication, people "checking in" throughout the song, or, at the least, when moving to the next section. Would love to see a couple videos on those 2 topics! Thanks!
This would be great if you have two separate leaders giving signals. One leader could give those signals to the singers while the other leader will be giving signals to the musicians using the Nashville Number System. Because using the 1 and 2 would already be confusing since those tell musicians which chords to play. Example would be that in the key C major, the 1 would signal musicians to play the C major chord whereas the 2 would signal them to play the D minor chord. This would confuse musicians since each section of a song has its own chord progression and sometimes things do change and musicians can use the NNS to signal chord changes to help embellish and emphasize certain parts of a song.

Thank you very much. This is a big help to us . GODBLESS
How do you tell the singers that you want to sing the next part by yourself first before they come in
Could you please confirm that when you say 'Break it down', the 'down' means the dynamic/loudness rather than slowing down the tempo?
thank youuuu it really helps me get the right hand signals🥰😇
