Great little effect. I don't much like the Mexican turnover but it is hard to know how to achieve the effect with an alternative sleight. Perhaps place the last double sided circle card face up on the other three cards. Then place the face down prediction on top. Undertake a double turnover to reveal that the prediction is the spectator named shape.
The effect is great if you perform the Mexican turnover properly ! In order for the Mexican turnover to work convincingly you must turn the face down card face up immediately, simultaneously with the other that you’re holding

Look at exactly 0:52: th-cam.com/video/sHN2kngOtk4/w-d-xo.html My own guess is that the pattern on the back of the + and 0 cards have subtle differences which could be noticed by a trained confederate to the performance who was planted in the audience. I used to own a set of playing cards like this, where you could tell which of the 52 playing cards you have in your hand just by looking at the back of the card so long as you've memorized the back-pattern in advance.
