As a 35 year old "millennial" born and raised in Denver, this is exactly why I booked a one way ticket to Maui - left behind my phone and a heroin addiction to camp in the jungle. That was 7 years ago. I now live off-the-grid on a farm in Kauai with my dog. Roosters woke me up at 5:20 and Rats were stirring throughout the night. Fuckers.

Which was harder to get over than opiates, cause it's everywhere...plus it's hot, work outside, thirsty brah. Sober here on Kauai (besides coffee) eating organic fruits and veggies on the farm everyday. Spreading love and good vibes, enjoy hanging out with the beach bums and street cats every now and then. @@russell7563 correct. Lived 2 years on Maui without a phone and one year here on Kauai. Gave into the phone, a few years ago, also Instagram to post Art/poetry. So yes, I do watch TH-cam. Mostly I'm out on the farm. 16 acres, so there's always something to do... Like dig a hole to shit in. I'm not Amish (not that there's anything wrong with that)... Did take the farm truck into town today to drop of a vegetable order and watermelons at our local health food store. Also stopped by Ross. (Pack of white T shirts and socks) I'm not that outta touch and isolated. At a friend's house watching the Home Run Derby (it's in my hometown this year) I Do spend a lot of time in silence, writing, meditation, making concrete art.
