A problem occurred while Microsoft Access was communicating with the OLE server or ActiveX Control
I've been to countless forums. I couldn't find this solution in any of them. Changing locale settings solved the problem. Everything was hidden in intl.cpl. Thank you very much!!!!!
Good to hear
life saver... thank you
Man, you're my saviour! I spent almost a whole week on this problem, never would've thought that a hungarian character "ő" could cause something like this. I would give you 1000 likes if I could!!! Thank you again!!!
It is funny that character was the cause of the error message, mine although took me about some hours before i could figure it out. just subscribe to the channel, i discovered another method which i will also create a video on. This problem occurs when you work on other languages, see you in the next video....
it happened to me too... thank you verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry much....
Thanks for this, I just ran into the same issue, although not using special characters. But maybe some special character (like a line break or something) was "hidden" somewhere in the field name. You made my day!
Thank you, this was really helpful!! In my case it was the character "μ" that generated the error
Am happy it helped, don't forget to subscribe. You can suggest on next video you would like me to create
It appears that there are a number of different "ways" to have this problem with the same error message. I finally found the solution that worked for me. I had commented out some code in the Visual Basic editor window. These comments were not within the bounds of a subroutine. Once I deleted all of the comments that were outside of the subroutine begin and end boundries, everything work.
It might surprise you to see the error appear again when you take it to another pc and back to yours. However am happy you got a good solutions to this.
This helped me solve an issue!! I was using an emoji (ya i know) in some CAPTIONS for my tabs. I accidentally used the NAME property for one of them which bricked my form. THANK YOU!
The problem still. Not only in names but inside in all VB code is UTF8 now. And my application is ANSI. I Write in my lang (Greeks) . Show ok. Now Greeks is not read. Any Help?
