Very nice job! You brought out some things that I didn't hear before and love that you don't overplay! So many drummers over play so much, throwing their own inappropriate triplets and fills, multiple cymbal crashes, etc. that while they may be a good drummer, makes them look like douche bags and totally ruins the song! You were spot on! I also like your Gino covers! Those are hard to do! I play a lot of Gino! Love Mark Craney (RIP)!

hi, i have 3 long questions in my mind , 1) can drummer hit close hit hat and crash cymbal at the same time ? 2) or they normally dont do that , since close hi hat can not be heard when hit together with crash cymbal ? 3) or It is impossible to do that ?
stylistically, when we go for a crash as an accent (on a downbeat or something), we do not hit the high hat/ride/whatever we were "grooving on" with it. But it's not impossible. Especially when I'm on the ride cymbal, I'll smash the crash but keep riding as well. the crash does cover up the ride (or closed high hat, or whatever), but you can hear the difference most of the time. It's subtle, but there.
Thank you, Kevin!!! Re: cymbals...I have all kinds. Some are very expensive, some are very inexpensive. In general, the adage is correct, "You get what you pay for." The inexpensive cymbals sound good but they tend to sound "tinny" and harsh. They also lack a full range of textures and tend to crack easier.

Can you please tell me what's your crash and snare?
My main crash in this video is a 16" Sabian Studio Crash. The other is an 18" Sabian Explosion Crash. The snare is a 14" x 4" Yamaha Birch.
