As an Amazon warehouse Employee I’m at 25.75 as a regular employee. My over time is at 35 an hour I’ve been working 60 hour weeks 20 hours of overtime at 35 bucks straight chilling and I don’t even be working hard lol when theres no work we straight chill I’ve met drivers that get paid less than me and they work there butts of for lil pay knowing they don’t really work for Amazon they work for their 3rd party company.
Do you have Health Care with that great pay of $25/hr??? 🤔
@ hell yeah I go my full benefits since I’m an actual Amazon warehouse employee
25.75 seems better than what I was getting for being a driver. Honestly I wanted to be a warehouse worked because they would always been late with getting the packages to the drivers & nothing happens to them but we get the consequences.
At the end all the warehouse employees have to do is just scan the package, while I have to take it back, drive around the warehouse 2x, park the van inside.
What state is that ? 25 is nice
Mind you I’m at max out pay as a regular employee of 3 years of course I can move up and make more but I’m okay thanks don’t need that stress as management lol
Those delivery drivers aren't Amazon employees. If they're unhappy with Amazon's contract, they should end their contract with Amazon.
Yeah. Imagine a business owner going on strike against their customer. If you not making enough profit go get a new customer or different job
@@SgtJoeSmithoh they do make profit because they don’t pay their delivery drivers. Also why shouldn’t they strike why is that such a problem to want a fair competitive wage? If you want something push for it don’t be a doormat. Their competitors pay their drivers almost twice as much yet are much smaller with less profits. This is just greed.
@@derekoverhage9180 they dont get paid at all and they still show up? well maybe they like volunteering their time then
@@derekoverhage9180 ist off they arent amazon employees. they are either employees of a subcontractor or they are corporations that amazon sub contracts too. 2nd they make the same as fed ex drivers. If $20 an hour isnt fair to drive around all day then gee i used to get $5 an hour to push carts at walmart all day on 120 degree asphalt. If other places pay better then go work there. that will push for higher wages the best if amazon sees everyone leaving for Wish or Temu or Walmart. But when half the population wants to work for you, their isnt much motivation to pay more.
@@derekoverhage9180 so the contractors that amazon subcontracts to dont pay THEIR drivers anything at all? well tell those drivers to file a labor board complain against their company and leave amazon out of this
Amazon became rich off of third parties to exploit thier workers for this exact situation 😂
How are they being "exploited"? Do job collect paycheck. Don't like job, find other job.
@@moejoe1863why are you so mad? Why are you so upset ? They are getting exploited because they’re not being paid enough for the workload , got ppl like you who don’t care.
You say find another job like that one also won’t exploit you.
@@LLKST why did the accept a job that they are getting "exploited" LOLOL doesnt sound very smart
Instead of complaining about Amazon, cancel your membership. But you won’t, cause you want those low prices 😏
Yep and the workers won't quit either cause they like that cushy job too much.
man, they are striking right when a lot of people are getting laid off, that is some crazy stuff, wishing them the best.
I know right? once Ai takes over rich people will live in elysium while the rest of us can suck dirt down here. And beg for scraps like dogs if the masters felt like it.
They aren't considered employees because Amazon DOESN'T HAVE employees. Every driver is through a thurd party DSP, Delivery Service Provider. Its how they avoid giving health care and insurance. By design. Misleading title, you should be ashamed.
Support the workers!
No
@@philiplubduck6107why not? Can you give me coherent non boomer answer?
@ such as the reasons you provided?
The workers should support themselves .
@@BigBeedle23can you provide non-xenial answer why those workers should be “supported” ?
At this point fire Amazon drivers. Go back to UPS or USPS shipping...these entitled people are ridiculous.boycott the boycotters
The teamsters should operate a delivery company if they care so much
It's one thing if they are direct employees but contractors may not have much rights here.
Direct Amazon employees are well taken care of if they let the teamsters get in there they will find out how will they were taken care of as they start gradually losing benefits and pay increases when a company treats their people well unions have no place
0:56 that’s a greenscreen background lol
Good eye he is reporting in studio, amazing.
Amazon is so full of it. They still are forced to work under brutal conditions...this is what Amazon is all about, folks. Remember this with your next purchase.
I work for Amazon picking orders. It’s a great job.
Don’t work there if you don’t like it
Snowflakes would consider a job that treats you that well bad working conditions I know many people that have left their labor intensive jobs to go and enjoy a job at Amazon and they seem to be pretty happy
I worked at a FC for 5 years. Yes it was fast paced & hard but I liked it. Crybaby people should find a sleepy job instead of complaining
i will always order from Amazon. It's made life easier
oh well go tradition old school mall shopping
Amazon uses 3rd party contractors, they will just get more contractors to fill the positions from their 3rd party.
If they want to work work if they don't go someplace else
People go to school to earn $25/hr. But then you have people who barely finished high school demanding to make $25/hr. So then they raise their wages, while the college educated wages stay stagnant and cost of education goes up. Then when people stop going to college and just get the job that pays $25/hr they will find a new way to exploit workers . The 25/hr will be equivalent to $10/hr because cost of everything goes up. And we all become poor while the rich stay rich.
College was meant to get us ahead but instead we are living one paycheck above the people who didn’t go to college:
Yep
You’re the one who bought into the scam college is required and maybe you don’t get paid enough either. Welcome to amerikkka
Colleges are now mostly “for profit” you should have learned that….in college. Hahahahaha!! 💥👊😆💥😘🤌🤣😆🤣😆🤣😆
Hmm do like everyone else suggests "FiNd A NeW JoB, If YoU DOnT LiKe YoUr PaY"
It takes a few years of experience before you start seeing higher wages. Don't worry you'll be looking down on those uneducated fools soon enough.
Independant contractors
Teamster represents only 1% of Amazon workers , I wonder how many of those walking the picket line are in fact Amazon employees.
Paid actors
More than likely none people talk in the Amazon employees know how good they got it they have good pay good benefits and can pretty much work whatever schedule they want to they don't seem to have a shortage of employees even though they get to make their own work schedule so that speaks volumes
Everyone deserves a liveable wage
If working a skilled job, some 60 year old who decides flipping burgers at McDonald’s is his best job, doesn’t deserve much. A 16 year old kid does his job better and faster.
Same for the person at Walmart who stands by the entrance to say hi once in a while.
You think they deserve anything near as much as the man who’s working on utility line in the rain at night when it’s 20 degrees f outsides. Cause it’s not like these guys are making $100,000. Yet a burger flipper you think should earn about 70% as much as a guy doing hard work in harsh conditions at random hours. Maybe 2pm maybe 2am.
@@philiplubduck6107maybe the 60 year old is a master carpenter but simply cant do the manual labor anymore? Just because someone “deserves” to make less money doesn’t mean they need to struggle. Yes a master carpenter should make more than an amazon worker but amazon can afford paying a living wage to every single one of their workers.
@ what’s the living wage in your opinion. That would probably be towards $60,000 or a more a year meaning people that make that for skilled labor would need a pay raise to $100,000 then masters in their craft would need a pay raise from 100,000 to $150,000 or so.
I’m sure you see the issue now. Suddenly everything starts to cost more and now the living wage becomes the struggle wage.
You can kind of see how this happens during and after the pandemic with wage increases to get people back to work. A few other pay factors such as some states making minimum wage $18 up from $12 or so in those areas. Then now look at the economy after some wage increases. Everything now costs more. Making people’s struggles even worse in many situations.
Anyway if there is a valid yes valid excuse for why he can’t work anymore, he would be eligible for disability benefits.
You get what you deserve. Many places are looking to hire low skill people with the hope to train them to be a better home builder, plumber, hvac. Even with minimal skill if you offer to work for someone as an apprentice and do all the crap work (carrying heavy gear, getting into the sewer to turn the valve off, etc) for a half decent wage. You will soon become higher paid and move up in the ranks. If you ask how many applications people put in when they are stuggling due to low pay. Most people will say 0. Yep no effort to try to get that better job. You should put in atleast 7 a week. One a day. Maybe it takes 100 or 200 applications, but you’ll find a better paying job as long as you’re willing to put in the work.
If you start working some job that takes PHD and years of hard work and then get paid $15 an hour then you can complain, but a job I learned over the course of 3-4 days how to run both a subway and Dairy Queen then that’s a no skill job. I did that about 15 years ago at the age of 16.
Most people just aren’t comfortable with change and don’t like to use their personal time to learn a skill. So most don’t try for a better job let alone learn a skill on TH-cam or other learning site maybe coursera. Many people have learned some basic skill and sell those easy products on Etsy. So I’d have to give them props.
@ also I did see you used a fallacy in the argument that just because Amazon can afford in they should.
Does this mean if Amazon were struggling it would also be okay to pay workers part of their salary? If not then a company’s profit should not be considered as your only willing to use that if it helps your argument.
@@philiplubduck6107Your right. Why sign up for this hard labor if I can get by doing the bare minimum. People want to party and bs their whole life, then cry about the outcome.
That's not even funny. The experts were saying they'll drop to ten dollars a share if there's a strike at amazon.
LMAO, hard hitting journalism here. Will my packages be delayed? They are already delayed, wtf you think will happen now?
They make plenty. Hello Detroit...go for a ride see what happens.
Get back to work!!!!
If these folks don't like their job, there are tons of folks starving out there that will gladly take their gigs.
All picketers need to present recent paystubs from Amazon for proof of current employment.😃
Find another job if this doesn't pay well. That's what most people do. They lucky to even have a job.
So what if they aren't Amazon employees? Shoot, I was thinking about going down and picketing myself.
Let us hope that the contract (if any) has an English as a first language clause...
(Edit: what you said=Sounds racist) but really drivers don’t need to be able to speak English to drive around and drop off a package. Most people that buy on Amazon prolly don’t want to talk to drivers anyway , so it would be great for America to replace these drivers with non-English speaking workers
union busters where the influential influencers hypocrites
we support the people . the union
Any scabs…
I hate unions… to me it’s a waste of your money !
Who asked?
Unions work has given us weekends and 40 hr work weeks.
@@bellalismowhat good is that ?
People in hell want water
If they are not workers then get a real job this is.life deal.with it.
Pickers halftime to pick it because they are unemployed and wish they could work at Amazon
This is the result of not understanding how business works and basic freedom to choose.
what you mean those people are free to go be roofers for $50 an hour?
This is actually hilarious lol
Amazon stop 🛑 Christmas
Someone will replace you
Don’t loose your job over Holiday pressure
Workers will be the key to squashing ridiculous rich and right
Yeah but where will the workers work after they “squash the ridiculous rich and right” ??
Anybody have Jeff Bezos schedule or jet tracker?
You might want to delete this comment buddy.
What does bezos have to do with this ?
😂😂😂😂
I'm not an expert on labor law, but if you wear an Amazon uniform, you're probably not working for KFC.
People wearing KFC uniforms don't work for KFC
I was raised in a time before amazon and buying stuff online. I can live without amazon. Bye !!
Bye
Where is my vegan cheesecake~
Temu and Alibaba treat their employees better.
But you must wear amazon vest and gear and drive amazon trucks 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
You don’t work here
