Excellent explanation. I think this is a serious play about judging who is who by their outer selves. I would like to see a more thoughtful production without songs, without ' straight ' camp which for me has spoiled the play. The void of the inner self and the so-called family reconciliation could be played out with solemnity. A wife who mistakes her husband by his looks is a tragic error. Just a few thoughts and nothing to do with the production we are invited to see.
