I found this one through SRW X. After booting up the first episode, and the scenes at the end and through the second episode, I thought this was going to be a show with content warnings too much for me. Then it stopped… and an amazing show remained. Thanks Cross Ange, for teaching me to not judge too quickly. (P.S. laughed too hard at the freedom gundam just chilling in Arzenal as a cameo)
If you could get through the first episodes, you will be ok with the rest of the show. It’s actually was wise to put these kind of things in the beginning.

I have to wonder how much overlap there is between those who enjoy Cross Ange's music and those who enjoy the music of EXA_PICO (aka Ar Tonelico and Surge Concerto), as Akiko Shikata had a hand in both. I recently watched Cross Ange BECAUSE I found out Shikata composed for it. I *can't* be the only one... Like, even this track makes me think of Ar Tonelico. In the 2nd game, one of the major plot-relevant songs is Metafalica, which exists as both two separate songs (EXEC_METAFALICA and METHOD_METAFALICA) and a unified version (EXEC_with.METHOD_METAFALICA). I wonder if those may have influenced the existence of Towagatari here, as there's the separate Wind/Light versions and the unified El Ragna version. As someone coming from Ar Tonelico, it's interesting to identify the conceptual parallels between Metafalica and Towagatari.

Ange and Sala are both great singers of their songs.
They are voiced by Nana Mizuki and Yui Horie, two of the songstresses in Japanese voice acting. There’s also Yukari Tamura as Hilda in the same show.
