    He hasn't even taken a sip from the beer yet lol good improvised infrared filter btw that seemed to work really well. I ended up buying 850nm glass filter.

    Yeah, they get pretty hot and give off that "hot plastic" smell. I can't run it for very long.

    @17hmr243 The filter is made of layers of lighting gel (coloured plastic used to change the colour of lights in theaters), read the description for more.

    Damm, that was a Hell of a lotta invissible light.! I made one from an outdoor static lamp, but the ir leds weren't nearly Half of yours.! And the battery's were getting hot real fast.!Prob was : I don't know DICK about eletricity and didn't know what "paralel" meant, so the led's were hooked up wrong.! Thàn there was a prob with outgoing amps or milli amps... So now i DO know what to do (I hope.!) Got a bunch of IR-leds from China, (dirt cheap) and I'm gonna try again (Never give up.!) I know some kinda Chemistry, yet that volt shit was new to me, ànd I underestemated it... ONCE.! Not again.!

    At night you should paint background with UV and you see infrared better but invisible flashlight is that you use IR and UV invisible mixed on object as green like night vision but safer than Google night vision even with mirror if enemy use mirror or flashlight can destroy night vision pilot eye

    what kind of primary red filter a medium,light red ?

    • @NickMoore
      @NickMoore  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I used Congo Blue and Primary Red lighting gels. The Congo Blue blocks out most visible light but allows IR to pass through. The Primary Red blocks the blue light.

    • @dancoulson6579
      @dancoulson6579 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's just how the camera perceives IR light.
      It's transforming it to shades of purple.
      Very little visible light was being transmitted, and we can see that when the camera is operating in normal color mode.
      It wouldn't matter if the filter was dark green, or dark orange... So long as the IR light can pass, and most of the visible light is blocked, the filter is doing its job well.
      And, given that situation (where a dark green filter that transmits IR light) were used, the IR mode on the camera would still show him in shades of purple.
      Different cameras show IR to us in different ways.
      Some show greyscale, some show shades of purple (as seen here), and some show shades of green.
