Fun fact: As you have probably noticed, Baekhyun's previous release "UN Village," is much different than "Candy". The two songs have different vibes because "UN Village" and its City Lights album are supposed to have a softer, sultry night theme, where "Candy" and its Delight repackaged album is supposed to have a happy upbeat, bright daylight/daytime theme. The albums are as different as Night and Day. :D
Everyone gets a little jealous and wishes they were that female dancer Baekhyun smiles at and dances with.The flirty vibe of this song is what makes everyone melt.

Baekhyun's 4th solo album and title track is called "Bambi" for multiple reasons. One reason is because one of Baekhyun's nicknames he has been given by some of his fans is Bambi. Fans say he looks cute like a doe-eyed deer. This album is meant to be a gift for fans because he was about to enlisting in the military and he wanted to give us something to keep us company while he is away for 18 months serving his country.
However, the song is more about the fact that Bambi refers to "night rain" as you see he talks about in the lyrics -- it's a play on words in Korean -- Bam as in night and bi as in rain.
And in English, Bambi refers to a woman with long legs -- and that is where the name for the Disney character comes from -- which is also the nickname of the character/woman Baekhyun is talking about in the song. :D However, the song has very little, if anything, to do with the Disney movie -- the cute little deer with the same name, isn't really even connected to the song. (In western pop culture the name Bambi is given to female characters in novels and movies because it is used as a metaphor for her sexual appeal and appearance. That is why Disney chose that name for the deer in their story because it was a play on the fact that Bambi has long legs and big doe-eyes like a voluptuous woman. :D So Baekhyun is not talking about a deer in the song, he is using it as a nickname for the woman he is singing about.)
As a member of EXO, Baekhyun's superpower is the ability to control light. So, what you see happening in the tunnel isn't supposed to be fireworks, but it's supposed to be the explosion of light bulbs, etc. because his passion -- as manifested through his epic high note -- makes him lose control of his powers, etc.
I think Tinkerbell in the lyrics is supposed to be a reference to the fact that she is a little fairy that is often represented by the twinkle of light, which is also a metaphor for how he sees the woman he is singing about. Like a fairy, the woman lights up his life. Which, if you want to connect it to EXO's storyline, also could be a reference to the heart of the Tree of Life.
The woman in EXO's songs is often thought to be a metaphor and physical representation of the Tree of Life. That is why the members are always trying to save the girl or protect her, or they talk about being controlled by the power of the woman or they are worried about their passion destroying her, etc. It's EXO's job to protect the Tree of Life from the Red Force. EXO was sent to Earth on a mission to finding the two halves of the tree and reuniting them in order to restore peace in the world. The two halves of the tree -- EXO-K (Korean) represents one half and EXO-M (Mandarin Chinese) represents the other half -- were originally separated in order to keep the Red Force from gaining control. However, now, in order to fix all the things that are going wrong in the world, EXO needs to defeat the Red Force and find where the two halves of the tree have been hidden.
So on that note, I think that the train theme is somehow connected to SuperM's/EXO's storyline, however, I am not sure how yet. All I know is that, we see SuperM in a subway train in their "100" MV, we see aespa also in a subway train in their debut MV "Black Mamba" and we see SHINee in an old train station in their recent comeback with their "Don't Call Me" MV. We even see Kai on train tracks in his "Film: Kai" solo debut teaser video during his "Amnesia" section of the video and people on a subway train platform as it transitions to his song "Mmmh." And before that we saw Key from SHINee in a subway train in his solo debut song "One of Those Nights." And if we go back even further, you see EXO on train tracks in their "Love Me Right" MV and EXO-CBX (which Baekhyun is also a member of) on train tracks in their "Horololo" MV, etc.
And because Baekhyun is the leader of SuperM and a member of EXO that usually means it's connected to SM's Universe.
Fun fact: Baekhyun isn't even part of the dance line in EXO, and when he first debuted he was considered one of the weaker dancers. However, as you can see, he has now become one of the members who is known for his dancing, as well as his vocals. And the EXO members say, he is now the quickest out of all of them to memorize the choreography.

UN Village (Pronounced like U.N. Village -- like United Nations -- UN. Not unvillage.) is a real place in Korea. It's a ritzy, trendy neighborhood in Korea where some of the top celebrities and idols live. For example, some of the members of BigBang have, or used to have, apartments in UN Village. The area is known for its cool architecture and landscapes, and I think some of this MV was either shot in UN Village or, at the very least, the sets were meant to emulate the look of UN Village. Baekhyun has said that the song is supposed to make listens feel like they want to take their date to UN Village and wander through the streets and buildings while whispering words of love in their ear, etc.
"UN Village" and this album City Lights is Baekhyun's solo debut. He kind of surprised all of us with this one. Before the song was released, we all were trying to guess what kind of style and sound his first album was going to have. And, although this style totally makes sense for him, I don't think many were anticipating it would be quite this soulful.
Also, as a member of EXO, Baekhyun's superpower is the ability to control light. So, although "UN Village" is a love song and he is singing to and about a girl and about her light, the lyrics are also referencing the fact that his superpower is the ability to control light. The lyrics have a double meaning -- it's about love, but it's also about how he can literally turn off the street lights with his powers. That is why this MV has so many references to spotlights and shadows and light and dark and why you see the shadow of lamps with bare light bulbs, and why it's in black and white, etc. It all has to do with the fact that he is a member of EXO and he can control light. Hence, one reason why the album is called City Lights, which obviously also references his power. LOL
As with almost everything EXO does, the red light is thought to represent the Red Force and blue represents EXO. So the scenes that are red could be instances where the Red Force is in control and the scenes in blue are when Baekhyun has the upper hand.
Also take note of the giant map he is looking at hanging on the wall in this MV. When you eventually get to watch EXO-CBX's MV for their song "Horololo," you will see what many think is that same map hanging on the wall in the office Chen, Baekhyun and Xiumin are in in their "Horololo" MV.
Everything EXO does is connected to the group's concept and storyline. This song and MV is an example of how even EXO's solo projects are part of the story. Even as soloists, they can't escape the fact that they are members of EXO.

You need to check his rock ballad collab with Seomoontak, an aritst that debuted when Baekhyun was only 2 yrs old. The song is called hurt. I would also recommend to check every solo stuff of every exo members, cause their music is absolutely amazing.
it's funny you mentioned stray kids, cause Seungmin, their main vocal is a big fan of Baekhyun. He even called him the God of kpop after listening to the bambi album. I'm not familiar with stay kid's music aside from their title tracks, but i do know Seungmin cause he covered Baekhyun's song once. In terms of genre, Kai’s music is most similar to Baekhyun. Their music is more rnb dominated. Other exo solos have a more different flavors to their discography but i love variety of music so i love it.
