This is the Bayern Munich we want to see, the dominant side. Absolutely love the offensive quality of this team and what they are doing on the pitch, even the little trickery of taking free kicks! Still early days of Kompany era, but the man truly knows what he's doing! A mix of Pep & Jupp football, the future looks bright ❤🤍

Alonso learnt from the Atalanta defeat. Bayern basically played like how Atalanta played against them. Aggressive press. Everytime Leverkusen got the ball Bayern pressed and took it the ball away immediately. If Leverkusen played attacking football like they did against Atalanta they would've been destroyed.

Leverkusen before that game alrdy received 9 goals and was looking very shaky defensively while Munich scored 19 goals or so in 4 games. With that in mind they HAD TO focus on defense and try to stabilize otherwise munich could have scored a ton of goals. COnsidering that I am actually quite impressed they defended so well and didnt expect them to be able to before the game.

It shows Xabi is much more flexible now, ready to do something different. In the UEL final last season, Xabi was so obsessed about playing from the back and playing through Atalanta's press even though Atalanta pressed with about 5-6 or even 7 players in Leverkusen's half. This made Atalanta recover possession a lot in Leverkusen's half and ultimately creating lots of dangerous moments. When Alonso decided to abandon his philosophy and go long, direct to a dorminant striker, it was too late. The final loss points out one thing: there is no "best" way to play football and win, be flexible and play what is best for the occasion, opponent or moments in the game

Although he didn't achieve immediate success in the Premier League, I believe the team's limitations hindered his offensive strategy. Burnley's lack of quality players made it challenging to execute his vision.
Now, as the manager of Bayern Munich, he has the talent and resources to implement his tactics effectively. With top-tier players at his disposal, his offensive approach is already flourishing.

Alonso has to abandon the 3 at the back and add another mid because Xhaka looks tired after the Euros & Andrich is not really good on the ball. He needs to rotate more as well. The possession is too slow and it requires a rhythm that's escaping them as of late. Dortmund is on the same boat. Bayern struggles against high tempo and quick progression teams like Stuttgart but against the tame possession of Leverkusen they look threatening. That said, Bayern at home is really hard and a draw suits Alonso. I think he needs to rotate more this year given how athletic the Bundesliga is nowadays and how that power is fused with really good patterns of play.

people saying alonso team parked the bus forget Bayer Leverkusen is not well experienced or strong as Bayern. Bayern has been owning Germany for decades. Leverkusen won their FIRST league just last season. This team is in the build up stage. Bayern should be more concerned on Kane 100m who isn't scoring when needed. draw at Allianz Arena is a win tbh

Concerned that a guy who scored 34 goals last season and seems capable of repeating this didn't score a goal in one match in which the opposing site defended with 10 guys? Yeah, we should bench him and buy someone better. Hmm, what do you think: Mbappe or Haaland?

@@karagounis9469you guys always mention his goals has he ever scored when they needed him the most? for example last season Real Madrid or bayer when they were loosing 3-0. any player can score 34 goals in Bundesliga.btw if his ghosting when they need him dw after 2 season they will bench. His already pushing 31

@@Florontino-Perez his history with Bayern is one season. Bayern was not very solid, yet Kane performed like he always played with them.
They made it to the CL Semifinale and were like a minute before making it.
But i guess you can just always pick whatever suits your opinion. Life must be easy for you

Cmon, I love Bayern but I don’t think that’s fair. They beat Roma and the toughest teams in the league undefeated. They have weaknesses but there’s a lot more to that.
