What I like about this show is that it is like 24 in the commitment to serve, which they talk about. It is almost like Jack Bauer calmed down and thrown into the presidency (not that Jack Bauer could ever do that). Having Kiefer Sutherland in this show is a nice addition and the inclusion of Kal Penn was definitely not an accident with his background.
I don't why ABC canceled this show. It was one of the better ones!!

This show was great when they kept the politics in the middle. The show made a point to repeatedly remind us he’s an “independent.” But the further it went, the more left leaning it got. By the middle of season 2, it felt like propaganda. But what do you expect. It’s Hollywood.

I am really enjoying this series but it is abysmally stupid and written by masters of cliches. Sometimes I see the actors cringing at their lines and Kiefer looks like all that booze did a lot of skin damage. If he came out of the closet he might not drink so much. Natasha is as beautiful as ever with a voice like a bell. If you cut off the sound in the really stupid parts it is easier to stick with it.
