I would move the blue bucket onto the main part of the gate, it looks like it's restricting the full opening of the gate.

I.think that the idea is so that the gate doesn't open too wide! A smart calf might try to sneak out!

That gateway into the pen would piss me off having to bend to enter it. Do not know why they have the frame going up above the height of the pen. Does not appear to serve any purpose apart from supporting the frame so it can connect to the other wall. It would be better if it was supported in the concrete at the base.
