Acquiring stocks could appear simple, but choosing the right stock without a tested plan can be very difficult. My main barrier to growing my $210K portfolio, which I've been working on for a while, is the absence of well-defined entry and exit plans. Any guidance on this would be highly valued.
Personally, I would say have a mentor. Not sure where you will get an experienced one, but if your knowledge of the market is limited, it seems like a good bet.
A lot of folks downplay the role of advisors until being burnt by their own emotions. I remember couple summers back, after my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to help my business stay afloat, hence I researched for licensed advisors and came across someone of utmost qualifications. She's helped grow my reserve notwithstanding inflation, from $275k to $850k.
How can I participate in this? I sincerely aspire to establish a secure financlal future and i'm eager to participate. Who is the driving force behind your success?
I'm very cautious about giving specific recommendations as everyone's situation varies. Consider independent financial advisors like Judith Lynn Staufer I've worked with her for some years and highly recommend her. Check if she meets your criteria.
Purchasing a stock may seem straightforward, but selecting the correct stock without a proven strategy can be exceedingly challenging. I've been working on expanding my $210K portfolio for a while, and my primary obstacle is the lack of clear entry and exit strategies. Any advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Even with the right strategies and appropriate assets, investment returns can differ among investors. Recognizing the vital role of experience in investment success is crucial. Personally, I understood this significance and sought guidance from a market analyst, significantly growing my account to nearly a million. Strategically withdrawing profits just before the market correction, I'm now seizing buying opportunities once again.
I agree with you. As an early investor in NVDA, AVGO, ANSS, and PLTR, my financial advisor's advice was incredibly helpful. Over the past 7 years, she has helped me find stocks that did 10x multiple times. With her help, I've grown my portfolio to over a million dollars.
Hey, I'm trying to find a certified one to boost my investments/portfolio, but it's tough online. Can I get a rec from you, since you know about this stuff?
Certainly, there are a handful of experts in the field. I've experimented with a few over the past years, but I've stuck with ‘’Eleanor Bonnici Deskin’’ for about two years now, and her performance has been consistently impressive. She’s quite known in her field, look-her up.
You said that Baba wasn't buying back shares but a simple Google search shows they're buying aggressively and still have $22 billion left to spend in their buyback program through 2027. Am I missing something?
A fair point at 3:55 that their diluted shares outstanding was lower 10 years ago, although at this rate, I would think that the statement doesn't hold true anymore by the end of the year.

@@BaldInvestor I just made a small donation to your channel. Thank you for everything you do and my best wishes to you and your family for 2025 and the years ahead. The analysis is irrelevant due to the company being listed only 10 years ago and having gone through 2 top management changes during that time. Saying share buybacks are an X even when they've been buying back huge amounts during the past year or so is a bit funny and might dissuade potential buyers unnecessarily. The current management has proven to be dedicated to increasing shareholder returns and also realigning the company to perform better during times of great competition.
Yes, disposable income in China is increasing: 2023 Disposable personal income in China increased to 51,821 CNY in 2023, which was an all-time high. The real increase in disposable income for the year was 6.1%. First half of 2024 The median of the nationwide per capita disposable income was 17,358 yuan, which was a 5.9% increase. First quarter of 2024 Per capita disposable income in China was 11,539 yuan, which was a 6.2% increase year on year
I believe this company should be evaluated on the basis of performance in the past 5 years. China has undergone a massive ideological transformation since 2019 - since 2015 but policies didn’t start to take hold for a couple more years - and Baba’s management/business model has also changed. They’re a massive buyer of shares now. However, their financial metrics/market position has also eroded significantly.

Hong kong investor here. Americans make a huge mistake in analysing Chinese stocks as they do US stocks. There is much more at play, and the market is easily manipulated by the govt - like now, the govt recently directed investment banks to invest. Think about it, the banks are forced to dump money in the market to keep it stable... why would you want to voluntarily buy in? The other thing is that despite massive Chinese growth over the last two decades, the market struggles to stay over 2008 levels. If the US market was at the same point as it was in 2008 there would be mass panic and hysteria.
@investorslifepk HK💪🇭🇰 To some extent, but the Chinese market has never kept pace with the gains of the economy or their companies (less a few euphoric years around the gfc). So the usual value metrics used for, say, US companies have never been the same. Tencent, for instance, isn't dependent on the US market. Chinese pharma is maybe an even better example. Not sure if you saw the same trend, but I noticed the hk market used to be closely aligned to the US (eg US market rises, HK goes up, and when US goes down, hk goes down) but has shifted. Natural, given the composition of the hk market. But now, it's not so much aligned with China but if US or China market goes down, HK will go down! We literally hit 1997 levels a few months ago - extraordinary.
@@international_dividend It is already quite depressed, one can only be hopeful than any sensible government will align policies & wellbeing of the economy for growth. There are some very good deals but if only market realizes value some day
I don't understand what you mean by government manipulating the Chinese market. Isn't that the same everywhere. The government here in the US has been manipulating the market from the beginning. Non-stop money printing at the time of covid which sent the stock market soaring and then the interest rate hikes that crashed the market. How is that any different?
