    Acquiring stocks could appear simple, but choosing the right stock without a tested plan can be very difficult. My main barrier to growing my $210K portfolio, which I've been working on for a while, is the absence of well-defined entry and exit plans. Any guidance on this would be highly valued.

      A lot of folks downplay the role of advisors until being burnt by their own emotions. I remember couple summers back, after my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to help my business stay afloat, hence I researched for licensed advisors and came across someone of utmost qualifications. She's helped grow my reserve notwithstanding inflation, from $275k to $850k.

    Purchasing a stock may seem straightforward, but selecting the correct stock without a proven strategy can be exceedingly challenging. I've been working on expanding my $210K portfolio for a while, and my primary obstacle is the lack of clear entry and exit strategies. Any advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

      Even with the right strategies and appropriate assets, investment returns can differ among investors. Recognizing the vital role of experience in investment success is crucial. Personally, I understood this significance and sought guidance from a market analyst, significantly growing my account to nearly a million. Strategically withdrawing profits just before the market correction, I'm now seizing buying opportunities once again.

    The analysis is irrelevant due to the company being listed only 10 years ago and having gone through 2 top management changes during that time. Saying share buybacks are an X even when they've been buying back huge amounts during the past year or so is a bit funny and might dissuade potential buyers unnecessarily. The current management has proven to be dedicated to increasing shareholder returns and also realigning the company to perform better during times of great competition.

    I believe this company should be evaluated on the basis of performance in the past 5 years. China has undergone a massive ideological transformation since 2019 - since 2015 but policies didn’t start to take hold for a couple more years - and Baba’s management/business model has also changed. They’re a massive buyer of shares now. However, their financial metrics/market position has also eroded significantly.

The beauty part is to be political neutral, make money with highest margin on cars, cell phones and others. 200% better than that money losing NIO. Hong kong investor here. Americans make a huge mistake in analysing Chinese stocks as they do US stocks. There is much more at play, and the market is easily manipulated by the govt - like now, the govt recently directed investment banks to invest. Think about it, the banks are forced to dump money in the market to keep it stable... why would you want to voluntarily buy in? The other thing is that despite massive Chinese growth over the last two decades, the market struggles to stay over 2008 levels. If the US market was at the same point as it was in 2008 there would be mass panic and hysteria.

    • @investorslifepk

    • @international_dividend
      @international_dividend หลายเดือนก่อน

      @investorslifepk HK💪🇭🇰 To some extent, but the Chinese market has never kept pace with the gains of the economy or their companies (less a few euphoric years around the gfc). So the usual value metrics used for, say, US companies have never been the same. Tencent, for instance, isn't dependent on the US market. Chinese pharma is maybe an even better example.
      Not sure if you saw the same trend, but I noticed the hk market used to be closely aligned to the US (eg US market rises, HK goes up, and when US goes down, hk goes down) but has shifted. Natural, given the composition of the hk market. But now, it's not so much aligned with China but if US or China market goes down, HK will go down! We literally hit 1997 levels a few months ago - extraordinary.
