I'm only a skinner and nearly and tier 5 skinner. I was concern bout how to gather in red/black zones. I have a choice to buy a boar/ salamander. I think the boar is pretty overpriced and the salamander is pretty decent for me. Ty for the advice!
I just tried to get into gathering.. there's just way too many nodes that are totally mined out/gathered out (even in the super far away black zones, totally gathered to where there's nothing). I am playing after mobile launch but I am hoping that the devs do something about the shortage. Not really worth gathering at this moment in time.
disagree with the boots-part (3:35). many boots have better ablitys than wanderlust since wanderlust is rly weak to purges (no burst movespeed since it needs buid-up) one good example is the miner boots. even though it silences you it gives you a shitton of movespeed and since you use a bloodletter you can use w+e to get some distance to not get purged and then use your f (boots) to get more distance to zone out, enter a dg or mount back up. id suggest to never use wander lust and would always go wiht run over wanderlust
also at 3:42, the gathering backpack is a bait. always go with fs cape, the carrywheight isnt that important as you loosing your gear especially if he says he uses a boar :) that thing has enough carrywheight no need for a extra backpack
your wrong bout the mount thing u can escape with a pest lizzard when there is 20 gankers with panthers and ravens the problem is if you know how to escape
Regarding getting away... dual swords and miner boots. Scenario: you get dismounted by 1-5 players. 1. E away 2. Iron will W (prevents purging you) 3. Boots (silences you, but 120% spd for a loong time) 4. Invis pot in the meantime, when you feel like juking the gankers. If its only 1 person and you know it, you might not need to use pot 5. Mount up somewhere safe Works with T4 gear
@@ArthurCarreta neither dual swords or bloodletter will save you from fiend cowls or other purges. Combine with soldier helmet block skill to prevent graveguard armors. Yes overall dual swords have less mobility than those two. But iron will saves your ass. :)
@@intercsaki well i guess with bloodletter you have "more" burst movespeed with dash and e so if you are fast enough you can get out of purge range but i agree that dual swords for the iron will sounds interessting.
Are red zones not soo dangerous every time?? I saw your map,it showed only 2 gankers,I initially thought that anyone can kill you in RZ Thx for the vudeo
Red zones are super safe and only players who are flagged can kill you, but usually the non flagged players are so many that gankers don't stand a chance on killing any1 most of the time
@Angelo Aitken u should observe the regions in which strong/large alliances, martlock black zone is guraded by ARCH Thetford black zones,next to the portal there are a few SLOTH hideouts My friend u have to observe which alliances work in which places,if u wanna fish,go into South fort sterling portal and 2 zones away there is swamp location,I mean u just have to understand the map and the alliances,u can even join one of em if u wanna gather more safely Moreover I'd like to say u should take t5 or higher armored horse,1 invis potion I don't recommend swiftclaw as it's 100k but if u can afford,take it then I'm mostly into red zones,as I can see the no. Of bad guys there,I also have a good alliance which moves through those sones

Any decent gatherer should know that survivability is key lol, you saying that using a giant horse isn’t worth it in the long run just because of lower carrying capacity makes me cringe man. a full boar is useless if even noob gankers can kill you eaaaasily. and also decent gatherers use fort sterling btw
Giant horse is a must for dangerous zones. Like you said fs capes omg so good. Any other times i use spectral boar. Also I've switched to the cc resist scepter instead of mistcaller.
Pie is super good for gathering and to find out what each food does hover over with your mouse cursor to it and it will tell you what buffs and for how long it gives you
Gathering T4 hemp in the red zone... fail. Big fail. You take the risk of losing everything and then gather stuff you can gather safely and in masses in the blue or yellow zone.
@@KaidGames2 I strongly disagree. Maybe for newbie gatherers but If you are gathering T8+ in BZ I can't imagine myself without it. How is not worth what you are getting? You can literally go invisible with it and it has 1200kg capacity.

This is true, if anyone sees you in bz on a boar they will go out of their way to gank you, its like inviting them to kill you. Also, gathering gear is not optimal for bz, id rather gather less and use safer gear
lol the only place where a boar is dangerous is t8 zone controlled by big guild, otherwise it's safer than a swiftclaw, more tanky, less CC, if you know what you are doing it's easy to escape solo or small group ganker, I don't die in BZ with my boar for a month and a half and I gather almost every day 1h at least. Just take the time to learn the game, learn how ganking work to know what is the best option you have to escape gankers, most of the time it's not to run directly to the gate. You will also not react the same depend on the guild or alliance you are facing (some of them you know there is a full party waiting for you at the gate). The best option you have to survive is to stay on your mount so when you are dismount to gather some ressources, don't look the number of ressources left on the node, look at the edge of your screen to search for red name who disappear really fast. Also, use the sound of the game, you will ear them before you see them.

All royal continents have a "main" resource, a seccondary and a third. generally its best to gather in the zone where the reccourse is main. Use fort sterling cape instead of gathering bag it's useless if u are on a boar or any other mount with carry capacity.

I main skinning and fiber gathering, and in my opinion those are the highest paying ones
