I to suffer with IBS Mixed and have had diverticulitis. 2 years ago I was hurting and so sick. They did a CT scan on me and found a blockage and perforated bowel. After 17 days of being in the hospital they finally got me well enough for surgery. My surgeon took 8 inches of my colon out. I cannot eat any red meat it kills my stomach. I cannot overload on food because I am up sick all night. The IBS controls my life and I am afraid at times to leave my house. I feel for anyone that goes through this!! Thanks for sharing your story! So many people struggle with stomach problems and they are to embarrassed to talk about it.

I have Diverticulitis (nuts and seeds are a big no no for me). About 3 weeks ago I started intermittent fasting and its been great! Still no nuts or seeds (and I'm totally fine with that) but, I'm finally feeling like I might have found the golden ticket 🤞
Glad you've found something that's worked for you too!! 😘xx

I don't know about fasting but I've had it 45 years. Every bout has been after mild dehydrated followed by constipation. The constipation is what causes most bouts. One bad bout was steel rolled oats in a cookie I ate. Drink lots of water. I stopped the antibiotics during bouts and it is the same as when I would medicate. Some studies have shown this to be true. Plus the antibiotics kill your guts flora. No pills, lots of water ad exercise.

Really helpful to hear about your process. I'm 74. Going through this for the first time. Seems like I'm following the same path that you followed--though I haven't needed to go to the ER or anything like that. I've cut my eating time everyday to only tea until noon. And I stop eating at 6. Small meals seems to help. Thank you for posting this.

Thanks for this update. I'm on my last 2 antibiotic pills and a week and 1/2 out of the hospital. I'm a dog groomer and my work is very physical. I have that exhaustion you refer too. I get home and just collapse. I', male, 53 and feel like 80. Hoping this passes soon.

wonderfully helpful! Thank you for talking about difficult things to talk about. I've been having diverticulitis for about 4 years now on and off. Diet and intermittent fasting is everything! Great tip about the peanut butter+cinnamon+almond milk!:)

Have you ever done a blood test for food sensitivities? It starts there. I have the same symptoms (and also Hypothyroidism) and eliminated the 45 foods that I was sensitive to. We then tried a mucosal food tolerance diet, but I was getting gas and bloating. Found out I have SIBO. I am now on a very restrictive version of a low FODMAP diet and even through this had to eliminate additional foods like nuts, tomatoes. I am taking herbs and botanicals as well, probiotics and HPLR. No gluten, no dairy, no sugar. I take so many supplements and now have color-coded little tiny zip lock bags for a.m., noon, and p.m. supplements. It takes a while to get my supplements in the packs for 30 days, but so easy to reach into my basket each day and take the supplements. I wish you all good things on your journey and that you are 100% soon.

.... wow. I have no progesterone and sibo and diverticulitis as well. I also have iron deficiency and running on low D. Turns out I also have lead poisoning....it ruined my gut and my part as a mother. I dont mean this in a bad way, but it made me feel better that someone else is going through this. Were not alone.

thank you so much for sharing your story. I also had a thyroid problem and then horrible gut issues. After chronic GERD symptoms I just found out I have SIBO. To know the root cause for my gerd is everything!

Honestly same. I was diagnosed with GERD and Celiac Disease last year and I am still having problems and I strongly believe that I have SIBO- and I think stress and GERD is to blame

I had my first flare of Diverticulitis the day I moved into my first apartment. I went to the emergency room was misdiagnosed and they took out my appendix by mistake. They call it practicing for a reason. The bouts are getting more frequent as I get older. This last bout was caused by not drinking enough water, a couch potato run of 3 days and a bit too much wine. Remedy, drink more water less wine, stay regular and exercise.
My worst flare was from steel cut oats so Btw, Be thee warned.
PS it's been 43 years with this thorn and I stopped the antibiotics 10 years ago during a flare and see no difference. There has been medical studies that state the same data for time and pain subsidence. Protect your gut flora and your wallet.

So you didn’t have outpouchings? From what I have heard and read, having a diverticulitis attack is because of outpouches. I recently had exactly what you described happened to you and also am currently taking 2 antibiotics at home. Hearing you colonoscopy went well and they didn’t find anything was very encouraging to hear! So happy God directed me to your video 😊 made me feel much better!

Yeap i follow your advise and it works for me. I try limit food portion do intermittent fasting when i was less exercising and it tremendously help reduce the symptoms or i can reduce to 0 symptoms. Once the gut got heal i can start eating other food again. Really make sense and really working for me. I did add probiotics and bromelain enzymes to ease digestions and i started enjoying my favourite food again once in a while :D Thank you!

i have been bloated like a pregnant woman for the past month, doctors say i am constipated but i don't feel i am... the weird thing is that i seem to get really bloated after exercise and water... xray showed alot of gas but the gas doesn't go away.. colonoscopy was aborted and only managed to get in a 3rd of the way.. then today after a barium enema i was told scattered diverticula disease.. so ive been researching it and yet im not a big meat eater, i exercise a few times a week, i like vegetables..so i feel so frustrated.. and i don't have any pain, but i hate being this bloated..its at the point where no matter what i eat or dont eat i balloon up.. i have not seen the doctor yet after the enema to hear her recommendations.. but its feeling like its something i need to figure out for myself.. and these medical bills are piling up...no joke

I just got diagnosed with diverticulosis but I have pain so it is diverticulitis. Please help with a list of food to eat breakfast, lunch and diner. I am looking everywhere and everybody has contradicting information. I don’t eat sugar, fry foods or junk, I eat very healthy because of bloating and Candida.

In reference to the diverticulitis. I was diagnosed last week after a CT Scan and took 7 days of antibiotics. I do have the fatigue but I also still have a weird feeling in the lower left abdomen. It's not really painful but weird feeling also happens when I use the restroom. Did you experience the same thing after completing the antibiotics and how long did it take you to fully recover where you had no symptoms...thanks!

The thing that bothers my diverticulitis is corn. I had a diverticula rupture during a colonoscopy...very bad. My gastro Dr's said seeds and nuts are not a problem .

Thanks for this video. I have IBSD, gluten sensitivity and had a bad flare up of gastritis this week. My digestive system has had problems for years. I think I will try the oatmeal suggestion because I know it us one of the few things I can eat that makes my tummy feel better.

The rectal bleeding is serious, stay on it. My sister had bad stomach ulcers with the same symptoms with blood entering her abdominal. It was a close call but she is fine now.

Hey I have had the same problem for quite sometime. Lot of rectal bleeding which they said is coz of anal fissure after colonoscopy. I was later diagnosed with gastritis and having acid reflux since then. Did your acid reflux surgery work?
