    She and I played the same club in Dallas in the 80’s. I saw most of her show during that run and was charmed every night. She was something.

    I had her perform in the 70's in a Nostalgia Revue with artists like Harry James, Dick Haymes, and Helen Forrest. Hildegarde stole the show. She did several of the famous songs that she introduced in her long career.

    I can understand why she was known as "Incomparable." Wow, for someone in her 70's, she looks and sounds great!! Actually, she sounds better than most singers decades younger! And, clearly, age hadn't kept her from her piano-playing, either, and with gloves on, no less!!

    @claudekastman30 Evidenitely you are to young to know about WW2. It's all about love and loss during the war, heartaches and misery.
