see?? i want more videos like THIS. I love that you couldn't figure out the blush, and then we went through and learned it WItH YOU. I wanna see the REAL process of someone applying makeup, not just a perfectly edited look. so great!
I’m so glad I could help, Becky! Sometimes we need help and it is much more helpful when we can SEE the process, so we know exactly what to do/not to do.
Hi Chelsea. I am glad that you kept the issue with the blush in the video. It depicts the issues that we all face daily. You created a beautiful look. Thank you. Have a Terrific day.
Danessa Myrics is a makeup genius in my opinion! I want everything on her website! haha! So many of it seems so new/different to me! So happy you are trying out different products! ❤️
I'm so glad you reviewed Danessa! She's is another brand that I viewed as a Pro MUA brand. I love her! She's right up there with AJ Crimson to me as far as how I viewed their products. It wasn't that I didn't know about them. I truly respect them! I just never felt their brands were marketed for the everyday consumer but for Pro Artist. But again you look absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! Thanks for sharing!🥰😍💖💕
You are beautiful with or without make up!!!!! Today, I had a lesson with a lady who does makeup and she recommended DM because I HATE foundation and wanted something that felt like nothing on my skin. It's been 6 hours and I still don't feel like scratching my face off - a miracle for me.
I plan to pick up a few Danessa Myricks products next week for my birthday and I'm so excited I came across your video because I get to see Brownie and Dessert Rose in action. I wanted to pick up those Colorfix shades as well as a few more and the other Light Work highlight palette for deeper skintones. :-)
I love the orange blush!! Lately I’ve been on the hunt for anything orange 🍊! Love the look of your base, the foundation and the face oil really works together 👌🏾! 💕
I really love the look of the color on your eyes. I have never heard of Danessa Myricks, yet intrigued by the foundation. Glad to know there are samples, as I did go look at the colors and hmmm, definitely a challenge on choosing! Thanks for the tip on using oils for a matte finish foundation too. I love LOVE the lip color- always good to find a matte lip that doesn't feel so dry. Have a great day :)
I LOVE DANESSA MYRICK! I love the color fix multipurpose pigments. A very small dap will do. The highlight palette in light was a bit ashy or something on me but I purchase the new release Deep palette it is Fantastic!!! Thank you for the realistic, review aka learning curve.
You’re so welcome! I’m interested in her deep highlight palette as well! I like the formula of this palette. And I definitely want more of the Colorfix pigments!
Thank you so much for featuring this brand. I just received both of the Light Works palettes and have been playing around with them. I have some Danessa Myricks products and enjoy them but agree you have to play with them a little first to get the hang of them so this video was quite helpful. I was curious about the foundation but am not big on matte formulas so you gave some good tips. I did want to try the powder though so that definitely helped. I do enjoy the Dew Wet Balm and the Enlighten Powders. I just received the eyeshadow base and will try it out this week so hopefully I will like it. Great video!
I came here to see how the Danessa Myricks highlighter palette looked on someone close to my skin tone and I’m so glad I found you! You are gorgeous and have the cutest voice ever! Subscribed!!
Thanks for the review. I love Danessa Myricks. On my skin the foundation is a skin like finish, not matte at all. I have combo oily skin. I just tried the vision flush today and found it worked well applying directly to the face and blend out with a synthetic brush. Works like a dream on top of powder using this technique or on top of unset skin. I have to try that highlighter palette. ❤️❤️❤️
I love the way you described the brand and your honesty on the reality that these type of products are more geared towards artists/experienced. Also, I kinda loved your grungey eye look before mascara! 😘😍
Oh wow really? Thanks girl! There are SO many times I don’t want to apply mascara (because I’m being lazy), so maybe I won’t and say I’m rockin a grundy, no mascara look. 😉
I love the monochromatic look that you created (beautiful)! I am impressed with the pigmentation on your eyes too. I could see these working well on someone that has oily eyelids (like me).
I want the Range Beauty oil... I have a few matte foundations that I don't wear cause I ended up not liking the finish but that oil seems like it would work perfectly for that issue. Thank you, my dear!! Now... gonna finish watching....🤗😍😘
I was so excited when I received notification of your video that I watched it before I left the Target parking lot. 🥰 I now have a better idea of the products that I want to purchase from Danessa Myricks. Beautiful look and thank you!!!
Yeeeesssss! I have been waiting for this! Kelsee’s method is the same way that I apply the Colorfix to the cheeks and it works beautifully. I use my fingers to apply to the eyes because my skills are lim-it-ted 😂. I have the shades latte and ballerina. The sparkle shades are nice too because I don’t have sparkles all over my face after application. Thanks to this video I may actually be brave enough to try the vision cream cover that I ordered 😬 Thank you Chelsea!
I've been waiting for you to review DM products, thank you! I love the look on you and I think fingers are great tools. Now when are you and the other ladies going to interview Danessa Myricks? She is so talented!
Hey Chelsea!!! I love how you phoned a friend (Hey KBJ!) and shared your dilemma with us, for some reason that was refreshing to see. I loved it!!! I haven’t tried anything from her line as of yet, so thank you for sharing. - Stephanie
You’re so welcome, Stephanie! I am quick to seek help when I need it and I’m glad she was available to help me so I could show you all how to use the product. 😊
Yep that’s what I’m going to do in the future. When I applied the other liquid pigment toward the end of my video, I applied it without powder and it worked much better.
So excited to see you review her products. Your skin looks gorgeous! This looks too difficult for beginner me but I am curious about the illuminator and the liquid pigments. :o)
Glad you featured DM! Also, I LOVE RCMA foundation!!! Those and their cream blushes are the main staples my Pro Make up kit. Maybe you can do a dedicated video of RCMA products 🙂. Their powder is good too. I like combining it with Too Face Peace Primer and powder, helps avoid creasing.
Hi sweetheart so glad you did the video/review you are def a make Up bfb in my head 😆 I have some of denssa myricks makeup I said the same thing when I tried my makeup what the heck and I doing 😆 but I still love it just have to know how to use it 💞💚💞 and p.s your skin looks flawless
It is! And no, the CT Hollywood Flawless Filter is much more fluid and leaves more of a water-like, glass finish on the skin. The DM Illuminating veil looks more like a traditional liquid highlighter.
I was waiting for you review before buying anything. Unfortunately, I cannot buy directly from DM website (I live in France) so I don't have access to foundation samples. I saw a review made by a French woman and this foundation was very pigmented, but she applied it like she always does with any foundation : full matte flat and heavy with a ton of powder on top. This is not what I like and I definitely feel like you're right to use oil with it. Your 2nd blush application was gorgeous. I am very thankful for the tips you gave us on how to use the products, so helpful! And as usual, you are always so kind and beautiful, it is a real pleasure to watch your videos 😊😘
Oh thank you for your sweet and kind words! I’m so glad you enjoyed the video! I hope you can find some type of shade reference. Also, Beautylish ships to France and they will provide samples on any liquid products so you could call them and ask them to mail you a few samples of the DM foundation!
The vision flush I never saw patchiness. I wonder what I do differently ? 🤔 but I love that color and also the foundation I need to most definitely get
I wonder if the samples of the foundation are working differently than the full size...my full size is so skin like in texture instead of matte. I love the vision flush as well. I still want to try the color fix pigments and the liquid highlight. 😄😄
The look turned out very nice, and you called in reinforcements as needed, love it! I do not own anything from her, and I'm not opposed to purchasing some things, but I definitely will pass on that blush 😁
With the fake drama on TH-cam right now it warms my heart whenever I see TH-camrs lifting each other up. Luckily (or by plan) all the TH-camrs I subscribe to fall into the latter category. How you were able to reach out to Kelsey for tips on how to apply the color to the checks is what this community is all about. The finished look was so soft and pretty on you. I think I am going to have to get the Dessert Rose.
Yay! I’m here for this, Chels!! Quick question do you have a list of ingredients for the light work palette and the veil?Any cornstarch, beeswax or mango derivatives? Thanks in advance! Now let me watch the video :-) ok you now sold me on the cream pigments too! 😆
I loooove the Vision Cream...I use it as concealer and foundation. I use T001 as my foundation and I'm just a tad darker than you. And that was by accident as the colors are hard to match.
After the vision cream leave a tacky or sticky feeling on the skin? Sometimes foundations feel that way, but wasn’t sure since you said it applies more matte
I might try the pigments after you figurd them out, I love the highlighter palette. I think the name is Desert Rose so like sand, not food. Lol.. Desert = 🌵 Dessert = 🍨
The name on the sticker of the container says “Dessert Rose.” The name of the product on line says “Desert Rose” so I’m not sure which one it is. Lol I’m just going to go with the spelling of the word on the label of the container. 😊
I don’t like powder foundation and matte foundation I just mix Becca topaz liquid to make it not as matte and it bronze things up a bit. I just ordered the DM highlighter palette ll
GlamGirlChelsea it truly is amazing it really turns mattes a more dewy to satin matte and adds a hint of glow/bronzey...!!! Look I mix it with every matte foundation just to make it wearable I have normal to slightly dry skin and it works it just transform the matte formula
I used to be intimidated by her products but now that I see everyone using them I’m like uhm I need it all. They are way user friendly thn they look. Ohh the powder looks really good on your skin. And you know I run from powder. How would you compare it to the range beauty powder? Btw yes with the blush you have to prime your brush. Basically what Kelsee told you. You’re so welcome! And yes, I felt it would be helpful because we don’t always get it right the first go around. I hope you have an amazing day too!
Danessa Myrics is a makeup genius in my opinion! I want everything on her website! haha! So many of it seems so new/different to me! So happy you are trying out different products! ❤️
Yes!!! Her products are not the norm and make “playing” in makeup more interesting!
You are so welcome! And I completely get what you mean by their brands being Pro Artist brands. Thank you so much!
You are beautiful with or without make up!!!!! Today, I had a lesson with a lady who does makeup and she recommended DM because I HATE foundation and wanted something that felt like nothing on my skin. It's been 6 hours and I still don't feel like scratching my face off - a miracle for me.
The eye look is to die for. How beautiful is that color combo. And the blush the second time around, beautiful. Love it.
Yep! I’m glad it all came together. 😊 Thank you!
Oh my goodness I finally will learn about Danessa Myrcks. Such a great video. Thank you Chelsea. 💖💖💖
Aww thank you dear! I’m glad you found the video helpful!
I plan to pick up a few Danessa Myricks products next week for my birthday and I'm so excited I came across your video because I get to see Brownie and Dessert Rose in action. Oh wow how neat was it that I purchased the products you were interested in! Happy early birthday!
I love the orange blush!! Lately I’ve been on the hunt for anything orange 🍊! Love the look of your base, the foundation and the face oil really works together 👌🏾! 💕
Ida Larsson thank you, Ida! The orange blush is very pretty and now that I know how to apply it, I know I’ll love it even better!

Thank you, Lori!!!! And definitely check her out! She’s got some great stuff!

Aww thank you so much! Welcome to the Glam Girl Squad!
Yes I agree I don't like a matte foundation and powder. The eye look is simple and impactful. I also like that color on your lips. Tfs.
Thank you Lori!
Hi Chelsea - love that you keep it real. I enjoy watching and figuring things out WITH you
Thank you so much, Mona! 😘
Thanks for the review. I love Danessa Myricks. On my skin the foundation is a skin like finish, not matte at all. I have combo oily skin. I love the monochromatic look that you created (beautiful)! I am impressed with the pigmentation on your eyes too. I could see these working well on someone that has oily eyelids (like me).
Oh yes! They would work very well for oily eye lids because once these pigments dry, they aren’t moving at all! Thank you dear!
I’m so excited for this video!
Thank you, Ebony!
I really want to try her products. Thank you for showing us and telling us about the samples that is awesome! You rock!
Aww you’re so welcome my dear!

Yes!!! It’s so good and affordable!
Your skin looks absolutely radiant in this video!
Aww thank you, Meg!
Thank you so much for the review !! I love how you applied the foundation and the blush looks beautiful on you!!! 🖤
Thank you!!!
I was so excited when I received notification of your video that I watched it before I left the Target parking lot. 🥰 I now have a better idea of the products that I want to purchase from Danessa Myricks. Beautiful look and thank you!!!

Yay!!! Give it a try and let me know how you like it! And I definitely need more of these Colorfix pigments!
Me too!
So knowledgeable! I have the chocolate Colorfix and don't know what to do.
I've been waiting for you to review DM products, thank you! I love the look on you and I think fingers are great tools. Now when are you and the other ladies going to interview Danessa Myricks? She is so talented!
Thank you hun!!! And we have asked her! We are just waiting for her to reply. I hope she does because we would LOVE to have her on our show!
Oh I would love to see an interview with her too! ❤️ Hopefully she replies and will be able to schedule it in!
So pretty! I am always shiny so I'm really curious about this matte, matte 🤣. I just ordered a few samples. I'm excited.
Oh then this will be your jam! Lol
Maybe you can try adding the blush before adding your powder. This is so pretty. I’m going to try her products
Thank you, Sandy! I think the illuminator and Colorfix pigments are easy to use so give them a try!
I just bought some products from DM for the first time. I'm sooo excited to play with my products. Great video love♥️
Thank you so much, Marlo!
Chels done got her some sun ❤️💖🌞☀️
Yaasssssss!!!! 😂😂😂😂
I prefer dewy, glowy makeup also. KBBae is always so helpful 😍. Thank you for showing us your struggles 😊
You’re so welcome!
I just might! All I have from RCMA is their 5 cream product palette and the powder. I’ll see what other products the brand offers.
GlamGirlChelsea That would be wonderful. I buy their products from CameraReadyCosmetics. It’s a huge website that MUA’s buy from.
Thank you for this review !!!! Can u do an RCMA review? contemplating buying RCMA palette for clients .
I only have a couple of products from RCMA, so as I get more, I will do a brand review. 😊
Love Danessa! Her ig page is full of gorgeous looks!
It sure is! I love her IG as well. 😊
I love Danessa’s products because they are 1 and done🔥🔥🔥 Great video
I can totally see that! Thank you. 😊
Aww thank you! Lol once you get the learning curve down, you’re good to go! 😊
Chelsea try using the blush before you set the face with powder. Danessa products are stellar
Yep! That’s what I did at the end of the video and that worked much better. Thanks!
I love the luck and I appreciate your honesty.💕💕
No problem at all! Thank you. 😊
It's amazing how a technique can transform the look of a product. Is the Illuminating Veil similar to the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter?
It is! And no, the CT Hollywood Flawless Filter is much more fluid and leaves more of a water-like, glass finish on the skin. The DM Illuminating veil looks more like a traditional liquid highlighter.

Hi Chelsea! This foundation looks so smooth and flawless. It reminds me of the Chanel Ultra Le Teint foundation. Have you tried it? It’s my favorite!
I have not but want to! Thanks for the suggestion. 😊
The vision flush I never saw patchiness. I wonder what I do differently ? 🤔 but I love that color and also the foundation I need to most definitely get
Love the look ... and I love the color fix as a blush. Gorg!
More looks with DM plz!! This is soooo pretty!
I sure will!!!! I’m enjoying her products!
I wonder if the samples of the foundation are working differently than the full size...my full size is so skin like in texture instead of matte. I love the vision flush as well. I still want to try the color fix pigments and the liquid highlight. 😄😄
That’s a good thought. I’ll report back when I get the full size. And you most definitely should try the liquid highlight and Colorfix pigments. 🥰
i really want to try the color fix🤔
You should!!! They are beautiful and easy to apply to the eyes. And the pigmentation is bold and vibrant!
The look turned out very nice, and you called in reinforcements as needed, love it! I do not own anything from her, and I'm not opposed to purchasing some things, but I definitely will pass on that blush 😁
Yep! Phone a friend when you need some help, right? Lol

Yes!!!! Beauty should be enjoyable and as a community we should be uplifting! Desert Rose is beautiful and I continue to reach for it!
Hi love. About the vision flush, you need to tap it and don’t do it on powdered skin that way it won’t be patchy 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 BTW you look amazing
Thank you!!!!
How would you compare the setting powder to Laura mercury or other powders you have used ?
I think it’s on par with the Laura Mercier powder. It’s more of a mattifying powder and is very silky and finely milled.
Have you tried her mixing medium. I hear it’s one of the best in the market
I haven’t! I need to try it.
Yay! I’m here for this, Chels!! Quick question do you have a list of ingredients for the light work palette and the veil?Any cornstarch, beeswax or mango derivatives? Thanks in advance! Now let me watch the video :-) ok you now sold me on the cream pigments too! 😆
Let me check the ingredients and get back with you. 👍🏽
Do the highlighters have glitter?!?! ( really hoping not 😬) It is so beautiful!!!!
Nope no glitter at all!
I loooove the Vision Cream...I use it as concealer and foundation. I use T001 as my foundation and I'm just a tad darker than you. And that was by accident as the colors are hard to match.
Okay thank you for this reference!
After the vision cream leave a tacky or sticky feeling on the skin? Sometimes foundations feel that way, but wasn’t sure since you said it applies more matte
No, it doesn’t feel tacky or sticky on the skin once it sets. I feel like I don’t have to set this foundation if I do not want to.
I think you look great! I didn’t know Chelsea was a makeup artist.
Thank you!
Don't think you needed the concealer. Looks so nice already!
I don’t like powder foundation and matte foundation I just mix Becca topaz liquid to make it not as matte and it bronze things up a bit. I just ordered the DM highlighter palette ll
That’s a good idea as well to mix the Becca liquid highlight with more matte foundations. 👍🏽
GlamGirlChelsea it truly is amazing it really turns mattes a more dewy to satin matte and adds a hint of glow/bronzey...!!! Look I mix it with every matte foundation just to make it wearable I have normal to slightly dry skin and it works it just transform the matte formula
Is she on the list to interview on the BTB series?
She sure is! We have already asked her and are just waiting for her to see our message and respond!
@@GlamGirlChelsea Derrick Rutledge, Romero Jennings ..
Thank you for these suggestions!
If you look a Danessa Myricks videos she is big on using oil for the face. She also sells face oils. Thank you for the video
You’re so welcome!
Cream products work better when they are primed into the brush
Cream eyeshadows give you an entire different vibe. I absolutely love using creams on the eyes. Especially in person they just look effortless.
Thanks girl! I would say the DM powder is more silky and a little more finely milled than the Range Beauty, but both are really good.
😘
🥰🥰🥰
👍👍👍👍👍
It Came Out Beautifully 😍 I Absolutely Love The ColorFix ❤ Now That The Groundwork Palette Is Out And The Nudes 🎉 I Be Having A GRWM Party 😂
Great video! I think I would skip on the products as for me they appear to be too much work (then again I am not a MUA so I am not her audience haah)
Lol I totally understand!
I think the blush is patchy bc you put it over powder
It Looked Like That Because Too Much Was Used.
