BUT JOKES ASIDE, JIMIN IS WAY MORE THAN HIS SEX APPEAL. We ARMY all know Jimin's too likable and lovable. And I'm not even liking him in a romantic or lustful way at all. His personality just shines through. Definitely up there in personality among all the idols I know. It's the main reason he became my ultimate bias at the time I only got into K-pop (October 2016). He's like sunshine--warm, jolly, fun, supportive, caring, kind, giving--the type of person anyone would want to have in one's life. And then there's his dancing that can go toe to toe with the best dancer idols and even pro dancers. I love the timbre of his voice. His lines and solo in HYYH and Wings were a treat. He's been improving in every facet! I feel that even if he doesn't dance or sing as well, I'd still like him. I just like him for who he is. The total package---even his penchant for teasing his hyungs, his laugh, his quirks with V and Jungkook, his pushing back of his hair. I love his squishy cheeks, crooked tooth, short fingers, abs or the absence of it as he claims, his bouncy hair, his height and high pitched voice. I love his seeming attitude and mentality towards work, how he reaches out to people and makes sure everyone under his wings are cared for, his selflessness, his shyness---I like the total package. NO IFs. NO BUTs. I just like and admire him. Jimin, you're beautiful and loved for who you are. Fighting!
What have you done to me? say it louder!! This is so true. He's always there for his hyungs to cheer them up, he's so hardworking and unbelievably talented. But he never takes us for grandet and is always so shy about how great he is. Let's appreciate Park Jimin more!
What makes Jimin different from other Kpop singers and dancers that he sings and dances with emotions , not only hitting a note or performing a movement
Everyone keep mentioning Jimin being good because of his contemporary background. i disagree. Jimin use to dance contemporary for 1-2 years, and as much as it helps, it's not the main reason for his abilities and talent. he has an amazing body control, musicality, musical receptivity and musical creativity. to have those is extremly hard to to achieve and in my opinion it's not something that can even be taught (some dancers might disagree with me on that). I also think that the way he uses his facial expressions is not something that can be taught. a good dancer can imitate the way he executes his movements but even a great dancer can not deliver that kind of emotion. that is his strong point in Bangtan and in the dance line. Hobi and Kookie have their strong points too because they dance with a different vibe but because of what i said above, i believe Jimin is a unique phenomenon and i prefer his dancing.
noa dekel honestly jimin isn't any worse than hobi, the two aren't any where near beating each other in skills, just that they ace in different genres. many armys think that hobi is better than jimin simply because bts had always said so, but they had always put it this way because their dance teacher prefers hobi's style more, not necessarily meaning jimin is far behind or any worse. i recognise both of their superb skills, but i prefer jimin's dance more too. tbh more armys prefer jimin's over hobi's, despite knowing that hobi is more commonly referred to as the best dancer. techniques aside, i feel that jimin has something more than what hobi has to offer in his dance. the vibe and aura he gives off when he dances and the expressions he has when he is feeling the music is really breathtaking, which might not be what we normally see from hobi
noa dekel and many always mistake hobi being better than jimin in hiphop, which isn't true. jimin is actually the best in hiphop in bts, even all members selected him as #1 in hiphop in their SS360 ep. Jimin learnt hiphop as a whole for most of his years since he started dancing since he was really little, and started by popping, thats why he is really good at it. Jimin is also really really good at krumping. hobi actually learnt STREET dance, not hiphop. the only form of hiphop hobi aced in was a certain form of popping called boogaloos, which is a sub genre under hiphop.
not even a tiny bit surprised that jimin got into busan arts highschool solely because of his dance and that he is the top student in the entire department. Really. No one can ever tell me jimin cannot dance or is less of a dancer than any other idol. He really is definitely in the top 5 of most soulful, artistic, talented kpop dancers out there. No doubt. I wish netizens gave him more recognition for his dancing. He really is mad talented. I'm absolutely stunned whenever i see him dance.
Roya d I don't know A LOT about it either but what I do know is that no other boy has ever been a top student in the modern dance department of that school since jimin. And getting into such a school, just because of your dancing, has been described as very unlikely. So I do think it's quite a prestigious school. But that's all I know.
Roya d It's very prestigious. You need to audition to get in and many students try to get in each year, much like apply for college. Some friends go there and literally the best of the best apply.

Just like how I watch their dance practice seven times to focus on each member, I watched this multiple times to focus on his hair, his face, his body, his legs, his arms.. What???😂 😂
The dance is so freaking difficult and tiring. He goes so hard then has to tone down his movements and let his muscles lose for that smooth effect all in only a second like his hand in 0:13, only his hand was relaxed but his whole body was tensed, then he went hard again. His body movements were literally tensed then relaxed, tensed then relaxed thoughout the video. This is pro dancing at its finest. Like anybody can imitate and cover his choreography but they can never duplicate the level of intensity and flow of his movements and Jimin's innate musicality. He is an incredible dancer. A true performer.

your right I dance this style of dance in my free time but the type of dance that I'm learning for about 8 years now is far from as tiring as this because in contemporary dances you dance with feeling with passion and you literaly give your soul out. So I give a big applouse for chim chim because he's so talented at singing and showing his feeling through dance..I found him really inspireing(or as Suga would say..insfireing Maannn)

To be very honest Jimin is my favorite dancer in BTS. He can do every type of dances: strong & power with hiphop, and yet graceful & elegant & emotional with contemporary. My eyes somehow always find him in every BTS's performances.

A few moments ago I was about to comment this on Dope MV Out of the dance line in bts, although I thought J-Hope was my favorite, Jimin always catches my eye in their performances, because unlike JK and Hope, whom are very sharp, he's always smooth, not only in less rhythmic song like I need U and Save Me, but also in Dope and Fire, and especially in dope It's like his dance is blending with the music, a part of the instruments, probably because of his background with with the contemporary dance style I'm really glad he's getting recognition in his own field although he is always in denial that he's very talented

Jimin has changed so much after run era for me, i feel like he's become more serious and mature which I guess is a good thing for him but I miss the playful, immature Jimin who would mess around a lot with others😭. The blonde hair makes him looks incredibly beautiful, untouchable even, it's very intimidating. Jimin is too likable. Rapmon said twice he's an angel, and once that he's a saint when asked to describe Jimin in one word. J-hope, Jin, Kookie, Suga had said in different occasions that they'll date Jimin if they were a girl; Kookie who's known for always teasing Jimin said it's because he's kind and will take care of him and that Jimin's the most charming member as well (I could not believe my ears when he said that, lol). Hobi, RM, V, Suga in another interview also chose him as the BTS member they're willing to have their sister date; tbh, this type of question is always asked among idols but doesn't get answered cause men are typically protective of their sisters. This got me thinking..if people Jimin interact with everyday see him like this (not just ordinary people, but crazy and blunt people included), he is definitely likable and well-loved. Before, I got the impression that he's always giving and taking care of people and not receiving in the same level or intensity. I guess that's probably not the case. Or even if it is, it doesn't matter...I'm happy that he's well-loved.
Ah that is definitely not the case, I started checking out other BTS members because of Jimin when I first got into the fandom, and was genuinely surprised at how well they treated each other...they really do treasure each other and especially Jimin, and that’s one the of the main reasons I decided to get more into bangtan..of course now I like all of them because of who they are, but as a forever Jimin Stan the first thing that got me willing to check out other members’ personalities is that I can see how well my baby mochi is loved by them.
Can we just talk about the fact that, not only is Jimin dancing really hard to the point of exhaustion, he's dancing to a demo version of "Lie" instead of the final. So it means, at some point, he learned the entire dance after the demo was finished, had to re-record the ENTIRE song a semitone HIGHER and with ADLIBS, and then BTS's producers had to mix and master a special version of "Lie" JUST for the teaser film, as well as the final product, as soon as possible to make sure it was ready a few days before the release date??? Like the title of their title track, BTS and their production team (music and video) really poured their blood, sweat and tears into this comeback. I'm so proud and thankful for all of them.
VL (YBlvr) I don't think they had to redo the whole thing, this was probably filmed about a month in advance, the dance still does with the finalized song so they didn't have to change it, and they wouldn't have had to reshoot the teaser. Jimin must have recorded the whole song at least twice yes, since the final version is higher as you said 😄 but I don't think they had to redo that much, they probably just finished up Lie a little late.
I assume this is the original, and version he is going to sing in live performances because realistically it wouldn't be fair to the health of his voice for him to sing in a higher register throughout the tour, I think the short film "LIE" is just an edited version (background vocals removed) of the album version, regardless Jimin sounds amazing, BTS has worked so hard!!!
Grace Umaña I think it's more likely for the version in live performances to be a pitched down version of the final, since there usually need to be background vocals for an MR. As for the short film version, it's definitely an edited version of the album one. That's what I was trying to point out! In the short span of time between when Jimin danced for the short film and when the short film was released, he re-recorded the entire song a semitone up, and the others working on the song recorded ALL the background vocals, and then mixed and mastered EVERYTHING in. That's pretty amazing.

I slowed down the video (because I am learning the dance) and I started tearing up. During that moment in pause you can legit see how exhausted he is. It breaks my heart.
Was he doing that infamous 10 days dieting thing during this? And performing this at the same time? I mean that diet was really abominable.. but the strength this man has.
I know everyone has their own opinion, but for me personally, I’ve never seen a dancer in Kpop with such emotion, power and fluidity. For me, he is the best dancer to date and deserves more recognition for it
how much I love ya. Oh I love Taemin! But his style is different from Jimin and for me personally I prefer Jimin’s style of dance. Taemin’s moves are very precise, sharp and also carry a lot of emotions in them, but just for me personally, I just really love Jimin’s dance style the best and that’s not to put down or discredit all the other dancers of kpop💜 and also I’m no dance expert, I’m judging based on what I feel when someone performs and nobody has resonated with me quite like Jimin has :)

This is the first time I see a dance like Jimin's Lie choreography. This can't be described in words. Jimin never fails to leave me speechless trying to describe my amazement at how amazing and perfect he is. He proves to me over time how precious, rare and talented he really is. He deserves all the love, respect and appreciation in the world for his rare talent and hard work to improve himself to become that successful international artist he's now. I am beyond proud of him and love him so much.

Did you not see his live set of Serendipity that he performed half a year at their concerts??? It was 10 times better than this and this was already on 10. So, I think BigHit is letting each member showcase their own individual uniqueness and talent.
As a person who started contemporary because of Jimin, I am so disappointed that Bighit doesn't use his talent. I mean sure we've got lie and serendipity but they could actually give him an intro that includes contemporary dancing? Everything's just magical when he is dancing contemporary

People saying a professional could cover it doesn't get what we mean by "no one can do it like Jimin". This is HIS song, he can express the exact emotions the song was written with through his singing and dancing, he knows the song. Art is all about interpretation, and this song is so close to him, I truly believe no interpretation could shine like this, could be THIS raw. He has the talent, but that's not the only thing making this exclusively his.

as a dancer myself, it’s so impressive how all his movements are connected and fluid. it doesn’t even look choreographed, it looks like improv because every movement is so natural
He really has this extra something special that draws people in. These types of ability are those which can't be taught, you just have to be born with it. He might look ordinary and a bit plain but his stage presence, his charisma make up for it. He's def aware of his strong points so he uses it as an advantage. He's one of the popular members for a reason despite the fact that he isn't even considered a visual.

Happy Pill maybe theyre taking their and planning the perfect timing to showcase individual skills. I trust Bighit's judgement. We don't know what happens behind the scenes and how long it takes to master a performance. They plan to be with us for a long time. I'd rather they gradually show us what they're capable of at a reasonable pace.

Can we appreciate him for being able to do his special stage with Taemin right after he performed Lie live?? Like even in this practice he stopped for a few seconds in order to breath, imagine how he must’ve felt with all that tension. Like this choreo looks insanely hard I don’t understand how he was able to do that!
and (unfortunately) he was not in best shape since he went on that crazy "1 full meal per 10 days" diet during BS&T promo (and prob into award season?). Jimin defies what can logically be possible, but he's one of the members i (and ARMY in general) worry about the most when it comes to working themselves half to death.
I’m always so worried about him because of the fact that he’s a perfectionist and he’s always hard on himself and he pushes himself too hard. I’m always hoping that he’s eating enough and sleeping enough and keeping himself hydrated. He’s looking really happy these day and that’s been putting me at ease, but at the back of my mind, I always wonder if he’s truly okay and not just putting up an act. He’s such an amazing person with so much talent. He’s passionate and caring and loving and he always gives his 100%. He deserves the world and I just want him to know that. I hope he sees himself the way I see him.

Niki is a talented dancer and with time he'll have his own dance style and hopefully become one of the best dancers in kpop, but he definitely cannot dance like Jimin. Niki dances like Niki and Jimin dances like Jimin.

I think he was mostly like this because this was around the time he was doing a pretty heavy diet. Dancing like this and keeping up with an intense schedule is really hard when you're not eating properly.
NEVERMIND_tomorrow I don't think you could even consider it a diet, he basically starved himself and ended up passing out from starvation in japan sometime during the tour.

Remember that jimin trained for only one year in Bighit and got into Bts it shows the amount of talent he has.There would have been many trainees who trained longer with Bighit but they selected Jimin this shows the amount of crazy talent he has. Everywhere they perform hes trending because of his amazing performance not just for his visuals he is a dance prodigy in every way,he has learnt various types and styles of dance and is so detailed with his dance moves because he practices day and night for those details. Jimins dance skill is pure art its like watching a movie when he dances the emotions in his dances and the right amount of power he executes for each step to make the step look beautiful for the viewers is incredible if he continues like this he will be remembered as the best performer in kpop i said performer because everyone can be a great dancer but to be a performer with amazing dancing skills is difficult because you need to be so detailed in everything emotions,amount of power to be given for each move,facial expressions and he has it all. He sacrifices his sleep and practices day and night he deserves everything in the world for his hardwork and passion towards dance. As a dancer there are two people in the kpop industry that I really look up to, Taemin and Jimin. They honestly have such an incredible God given talent. With Jimin, he has incredible musicality, he can express so much emotion through his dance, either facial expressions or just how his body flows is incredible. How he extends every single move from his shoulder to the tips of his fingers, that's a very hard thing to do, especially when each move is so quick. He really inspires me to do better in dance, to have more passion and to feel the music as I dance. I feel that, yes someone who 'can't dance' can learn to dance, it's not just something that if you were born with it, you were born with it, but musicality, passion, and how jimin can express so much emotion through dance is something he was born with, and something I believe you cannot just teach someone. He was born to dance.

What makes Jimin different from other Kpop singers and dancers that he sings and dances with emotions , not only hitting a note or performing a movement
Everyone keep mentioning Jimin being good because of his contemporary background. i disagree. Jimin use to dance contemporary for 1-2 years, and as much as it helps, it's not the main reason for his abilities and talent. he has an amazing body control, musicality, musical receptivity and musical creativity. to have those is extremly hard to to achieve and in my opinion it's not something that can even be taught (some dancers might disagree with me on that). I also think that the way he uses his facial expressions is not something that can be taught. a good dancer can imitate the way he executes his movements but even a great dancer can not deliver that kind of emotion. that is his strong point in Bangtan and in the dance line. Hobi and Kookie have their strong points too because they dance with a different vibe but because of what i said above, i believe Jimin is a unique phenomenon and i prefer his dancing.

noa dekel honestly jimin isn't any worse than hobi, the two aren't any where near beating each other in skills, just that they ace in different genres. many armys think that hobi is better than jimin simply because bts had always said so, but they had always put it this way because their dance teacher prefers hobi's style more, not necessarily meaning jimin is far behind or any worse. i recognise both of their superb skills, but i prefer jimin's dance more too. tbh more armys prefer jimin's over hobi's, despite knowing that hobi is more commonly referred to as the best dancer. techniques aside, i feel that jimin has something more than what hobi has to offer in his dance. the vibe and aura he gives off when he dances and the expressions he has when he is feeling the music is really breathtaking, which might not be what we normally see from hobi
noa dekel and many always mistake hobi being better than jimin in hiphop, which isn't true. jimin is actually the best in hiphop in bts, even all members selected him as #1 in hiphop in their SS360 ep. Jimin learnt hiphop as a whole for most of his years since he started dancing since he was really little, and started by popping, thats why he is really good at it. Jimin is also really really good at krumping. hobi actually learnt STREET dance, not hiphop. the only form of hiphop hobi aced in was a certain form of popping called boogaloos, which is a sub genre under hiphop.

not even a tiny bit surprised that jimin got into busan arts highschool solely because of his dance and that he is the top student in the entire department. Really. No one can ever tell me jimin cannot dance or is less of a dancer than any other idol. He really is definitely in the top 5 of most soulful, artistic, talented kpop dancers out there. No doubt. And getting into such a school, just because of your dancing, has been described as very unlikely. So I do think it's quite a prestigious school. But that's all I know.

The dance is so freaking difficult and tiring. He goes so hard then has to tone down his movements and let his muscles lose for that smooth effect all in only a second like his hand in 0:13, only his hand was relaxed but his whole body was tensed, then he went hard again. His body movements were literally tensed then relaxed, tensed then relaxed thoughout the video. This is pro dancing at its finest. Like anybody can imitate and cover his choreography but they can never duplicate the level of intensity and flow of his movements and Jimin's innate musicality. He is an incredible dancer. A true performer.

Jimin is too likable. Rapmon said twice he's an angel, and once that he's a saint when asked to describe Jimin in one word. J-hope, Jin, Kookie, Suga had said in different occasions that they'll date Jimin if they were a girl; Kookie who's known for always teasing Jimin said it's because he's kind and will take care of him and that Jimin's the most charming member as well (I could not believe my ears when he said that, lol). Hobi, RM, V, Suga in another interview also chose him as the BTS member they're willing to have their sister date; tbh, this type of question is always asked among idols but doesn't get answered cause men are typically protective of their sisters. This got me thinking..if people Jimin interact with everyday see him like this (not just ordinary people, but crazy and blunt people included), he is definitely likable and well-loved. Before, I got the impression that he's always giving and taking care of people and not receiving in the same level or intensity. I guess that's probably not the case. Ah that is definitely not the case, I started checking out other BTS members because of Jimin when I first got into the fandom, and was genuinely surprised at how well they treated each other...they really do treasure each other and especially Jimin, and that’s one the of the main reasons I decided to get more into bangtan..of course now I like all of them because of who they are, but as a forever Jimin Stan the first thing that got me willing to check out other members’ personalities is that I can see how well my baby mochi is loved by them.

Can we just talk about the fact that, not only is Jimin dancing really hard to the point of exhaustion, he's dancing to a demo version of "Lie" instead of the final. So it means, at some point, he learned the entire dance after the demo was finished, had to re-record the ENTIRE song a semitone HIGHER and with ADLIBS, and then BTS's producers had to mix and master a special version of "Lie" JUST for the teaser film, as well as the final product, as soon as possible to make sure it was ready a few days before the release date??? Like the title of their title track, BTS and their production team (music and video) really poured their blood, sweat and tears into this comeback. I'm so proud and thankful for all of them.

VL (YBlvr) I don't think they had to redo the whole thing, this was probably filmed about a month in advance, the dance still does with the finalized song so they didn't have to change it, and they wouldn't have had to reshoot the teaser. Jimin must have recorded the whole song at least twice yes, since the final version is higher as you said 😄 but I don't think they had to redo that much, they probably just finished up Lie a little late.

I assume this is the original, and version he is going to sing in live performances because realistically it wouldn't be fair to the health of his voice for him to sing in a higher register throughout the tour, I think the short film "LIE" is just an edited version (background vocals removed) of the album version, regardless Jimin sounds amazing, BTS has worked so hard!!!

I think it's more likely for the version in live performances to be a pitched down version of the final, since there usually need to be background vocals for an MR. As for the short film version, it's definitely an edited version of the album one. That's what I was trying to point out! In the short span of time between when Jimin danced for the short film and when the short film was released, he re-recorded the entire song a semitone up, and the others working on the song recorded ALL the background vocals, and then mixed and mastered EVERYTHING in. That's pretty amazing.

This is the first time I see a dance like Jimin's Lie choreography. This can't be described in words. Jimin never fails to leave me speechless trying to describe my amazement at how amazing and perfect he is. He proves to me over time how precious, rare and talented he really is. He deserves all the love, respect and appreciation in the world for his rare talent and hard work to improve himself to become that successful international artist he's now. I am beyond proud of him and love him so much.
Every time I see this, I get a bit sad at the loss of him as a contemporary dancer. He is art in movement. I wish we were able to see more of these type of routines from him. @Bighit USE HIS TALENTS PLS.

People saying a professional could cover it doesn't get what we mean by "no one can do it like Jimin". This is HIS song, he can express the exact emotions the song was written with through his singing and dancing, he knows the song. Art is all about interpretation, and this song is so close to him, I truly believe no interpretation could shine like this, could be THIS raw. as a dancer myself, it’s so impressive how all his movements are connected and fluid. it doesn’t even look choreographed, it looks like improv because every movement is so natural

He really has this extra something special that draws people in. These types of ability are those which can't be taught, you just have to be born with it. He might look ordinary and a bit plain but his stage presence, his charisma make up for it. He's def aware of his strong points so he uses it as an advantage. He's one of the popular members for a reason despite the fact that he isn't even considered a visual.

Happy Pill maybe theyre taking their and planning the perfect timing to showcase individual skills. I trust Bighit's judgement. We don't know what happens behind the scenes and how long it takes to master a performance. They plan to be with us for a long time. I'd rather they gradually show us what they're capable of at a reasonable pace.
They made full extended versions of each of their short films with the whole song, so that might be the music video for it... But if i'm wrong maybe they'll just make a new music video altogether.

Like even in this practice he stopped for a few seconds in order to breath, imagine how he must’ve felt with all that tension. Like this choreo looks insanely hard I don’t understand how he was able to do that!
and (unfortunately) he was not in best shape since he went on that crazy "1 full meal per 10 days" diet during BS&T promo (and prob into award season?). Jimin defies what can logically be possible, but he's one of the members i (and ARMY in general) worry about the most when it comes to working themselves half to death.

I’m always so worried about him because of the fact that he’s a perfectionist and he’s always hard on himself and he pushes himself too hard. I’m always hoping that he’s eating enough and sleeping enough and keeping himself hydrated. He’s looking really happy these day and that’s been putting me at ease, but at the back of my mind, I always wonder if he’s truly okay and not just putting up an act.
He’s such an amazing person with so much talent. He’s passionate and caring and loving and he always gives his 100%. He deserves the world and I just want him to know that. I hope he sees himself the way I see him.

Niki is a talented dancer and with time he'll have his own dance style and hopefully become one of the best dancers in kpop, but he definitely cannot dance like Jimin. I think he was mostly like this because this was around the time he was doing a pretty heavy diet. Dancing like this and keeping up with an intense schedule is really hard when you're not eating properly.

Remember that jimin trained for only one year in Bighit and got into Bts it shows the amount of talent he has.There would have been many trainees who trained longer with Bighit but they selected Jimin this shows the amount of crazy talent he has.
Everywhere they perform hes trending because of his amazing performance not just for his visuals he is a dance prodigy in every way,he has learnt various types and styles of dance and is so detailed with his dance moves because he practices day and night for those details.
Jimins dance skill is pure art its like watching a movie when he dances the emotions in his dances and the right amount of power he executes for each step to make the step look beautiful for the viewers is incredible if he continues like this he will be remembered as the best performer in kpop i said performer because everyone can be a great dancer but to be a performer with amazing dancing skills is difficult because you need to be so detailed in everything emotions,amount of power to be given for each move,facial expressions and he has it all.
He sacrifices his sleep and practices day and night he deserves everything in the world for his hardwork and passion towards dance.

As a dancer there are two people in the kpop industry that I really look up to, Taemin and Jimin. They honestly have such an incredible God given talent. With Jimin, he has incredible musicality, he can express so much emotion through his dance, either facial expressions or just how his body flows is incredible. How he extends every single move from his shoulder to the tips of his fingers, that's a very hard thing to do, especially when each move is so quick. He really inspires me to do better in dance, to have more passion and to feel the music as I dance. I feel that, yes someone who 'can't dance' can learn to dance, it's not just something that if you were born with it, you were born with it, but musicality, passion, and how jimin can express so much emotion through dance is something he was born with, and something I believe you cannot just teach someone. He was born to dance.
