Honestly, I think he was smart to not do too much because Txt has a comeback in November and he is probably practicing so much already. He has to be tired. The releases shouldn’t been this close together.
Yeah that's actually a really good point there are a lot of cases in which artists have very specific schedules with their group but then when they do solo or collaborative records they do keep the performance or they're involvement minimal because of their scheduling
My favourite thing about the song is that it is so catchy. And it's one of those songs that like it or hate it, ends up as an earworm. For me definitely it's an earworm in a good way! There are a few lines in the song that speak to this too "Every minute second, blow and spit out a banger. This song’s now stuck in your head. Can’t get it off like Venom". Very clever and playful.
Thank you for your reaction! I was also unsure on how ggum would turn out, but now i completely get that they want to showcase his overall vibe and strength in performing! The song definitely stands out to me even if the structure isn't so complicated. It reminds me of old school electronic kpop instead of the more easy listening songs with tiktok-ish chorus. I grew tired with the hard hitting, over the top songs that many male kpop groups usually go for when having 'strong' concept (the one i can still tolerate is stray kids' songs) so I was rly happy that yj went for a more lowkey, funky beats that has easy rythm and playfulness in it! In a way Ggum reminds me of Mino, his solos especially. Very unopologetically himself, great charisma, and both have unique vocal tone too! I think if yj continues on with this direction he'll have a distinct image in the industry
I'm glad that u pointed out how unique the song is. it's rap and performance, which really allows Yeonjun to show his dance and rap abilities, 2 of his main strengths. i believe the translation for the lyrics u asked abt is" Hop on this beat, no time to dwell, No need to be humble when I'mon the floor, Even if my jaw locks I keep it pop and blow" I recommend turning on the captions, they are more accurate
He really captures your attention // he has such a cool vibe and really puts it all into the performance // he is so incredible to watch. Thanks for the reaction.

Maybe half of the song was instrumental to give space to the performance, he is very good at dancing and maybe they wanted to show this too
Totally! You don't see it too often but he is such a strong talent he can pull it off
The more you listen to it the better it gets it's that type of song also his live performance made it ×100 better!

I try not to turn the captions on because I like vibing out to music without being distracted but then I always need to rewatch it lol
