I played the game i do some PvP’s and my opinion is the combat is decent but some moves are weird just like you saw sc sword shot blockbreakes that isn’t balanced in my opinion and the fact that when you use the ultimate and the stand is touching the player and didn’t hit is annoying

If you're interested, Silver Chariot's Armor-Off C move places down up to 3 afterimages. If you have less than 3, your G key will teleport you to the afterimage nearest to the center of your screen. If you have all 3 placed down, pressing G will make them do a spin slash while moving towards you, damaging whoever gets caught in their way.
The problem with YBA's combat is that it's really complex, but it feels a bit bland with a lot of reused animations and similar moves to different stands, on top of a lack of cinematography, at some more powerful moves, and the worst of all (it's not really a problem of the combat itself, but it's a problem that affects the combat in general) YBA has a obvious meta, it's really hard to find people with cool and original builds in 1v1's because everyone is using TWOH, MIH, SPTW, SCR, and boxing, if YBA managed to get more balanced, and actually fix most of it's technical problems I wouldn't mind any of the first problems, but the meta of YBA really kills the game for me, the main game already feels boring as hell with people spamming trade and asking items, and after spending a lot of money at a new spec because I really wanted to experiment it with a specific stand, I'm punished for trying to be creative by a random guy using an op stand
Yeah, and lag, glitches, lower framerates can cause the weirdest things to happen straight outta the twilight zone. And those things still haven’t been fixed yet. Also spec storage. Plus the community, its just too toxic. Its normal for a community to have a toxic side, but man does it have a toxic community, not as in a super high toxicity but the general amount of it. The Steven universe community also had a huge toxic side but they were more extreme in a smaller dosage as a comparison. But yba has less toxicity but the amount is so significant that you can always find it everywhere.

The complexity of yba’s combat is what makes it good, how is that a downside? As much as a I think world of stands is great, it’s pvp system will never come close to yba’s combat system. There is a huge difference in skill level between a new player and someone who has been playing for a while who also understands the mechanics well. Parrying, m1 trading and taking into account your stands speed compared to your enemies, understanding hitboxes, punishing end lag. Yba is a difficult game to get used to, but when you do get used to it, you can genuinely feel your skill improving.
I'd really love if you'd keep an eye on this, it's really fun and I'd like to see you do 1v1s with different stands than tw, specifically sc since it's my favorite and I think you'd have a lot of fun with it
the cutscenes make me feel hype as all heck when playing. YBA may have more fleshed out combat but DAMN it feels SO MUCH BETTER to play WOS. I don't know how to describe it, people who have played this game can probs relate

Road roller used to be a lot more weird. You see, it’s animation would break meaning when you would hit someone the animation had a bit of a bug, which would send you and the road roller teleporting back into the air and going back down, over and over again, all while the animation plays. It was a funny way to win.
The only reason i like the World of Stands combat WAY more than yba is the fact that m1 damage is not busted, and that no matter what stand you use you have a chance at beating the other player, which makes it skill based, also the ts feels balanced like you said. Im excited for its next demo/ full release
TL; DR: This is my favorite jojo game, I love it and all of its glitches and slightly toxic community. I go by the name Donut, and welcome to my TED talk. I haven’t played WoS since it closed, but it looks like it hasn’t changed much. As someone who played pvp for like 400 wins total, I love it. It’s so satisfying to simply play any stand better than the people that actually main them. I’m not joking when I say that I can tell you right now combos that make you feel like a villain for SP, TW, KQ, and SF. It’s hilarious when people rage quit after calling me a tryhard sweat. Enough bragging, I like this game, fr. The combos are satisfying and the animations are fantastic. I’m the kind of guy that spends some time thinking up new strategies and new ways to never let anyone see their health bar past 40%. And this game lets me do that, with plenty of options to choose from. Playing with friends and 1v1ing them is something I recommend, but unfortunately none of mine want to play this game. Oh, and even with the several month closure of the demo, it still gets updated more than YBA and maybe even AUT. I don’t think I’ve said much about the game other than I’m cracked at it, but that’s because there isn’t much to show. The dungeon is okay, not sure if they added more. It’s a few hallways, a puzzle room, some scattered groups of vampires, and DIO. You can also level up in the open world area, which grants you skill points to make your stand moves better, decreasing their cooldown and increasing damage. This also applies to arena PVP last time I checked for some reason, you’ve been warned. Oh, and there’s a short story leading up to the DIO dungeon. It’s like YBA: go here, talk to this guy, click this thing, beat up some guys, rinse and repeat. Now for those interested in the specific combos, I’ve got it here. Not sure if they still work since I haven’t played the game, but you can test that out yourself since I can’t be bothered until like tomorrow. Update: they work. Nothing’s changed lol. The World: m1x4, jump G, barrage but not all the way, m1x4, ult, TS after 2 or 3 seconds, m1 a few times and finish with R before TS ends. This nets you like 90 to 100% of their HP, if you know they just used their barrage. Again, not sure if this still works. V move mid combo may be a 50/50 if it hasn’t been fixed. Update: the devs lied, ults are true combos still. Star Platinum: m1x4, if they haven’t barraged yet then don’t - just go for V or R and TS. Sticky Fingers: m1x4, Jump G, m1x4, V. Not a combo stand, this is a bully stand meant to be a test of “how many times can I take this man to Brazil in one match?” The answer is 6. Killer Queen: m1x4, R, C, R. Very satisfying. Could also do R, full E, R. Blow up their house. Anubis: I forgor because I don’t play Anubis, just don’t get blocked. Vampire: you don’t need combos, you have that broken ass triple hit but parry-able move. Use it. Magician’s Red: this isn’t a stand, this is a whole rotisserie chicken who absorbed the flames and made it their own. Just cook the enemies. As for the new ones, I’ll say it again, I dunno. Haven’t played the newest demo yet. Update: The new ones are fun. Here’s some combos I guess. Weather Report: m1x4, jump G, X, jump R either when the enemy is still in the air or on ground. Alternate combo: m1x4, rainbow G, m2, m1x4, V. A setup: m1x4, E if it’s safe and m1x4, V, jump G, jump R. Silver Chair: X, scatter clones with C, m1x4 while positioning yourself where your clones can hit, G, and do something from there. Idk, haven’t tried it. There’s some wild glitches I do want to see if they still exist, though. This glitch used to be easier to do before they added m1 cooldowns, but I’m sure they have fixed them now anyways. Update: the glitches still work, they weren’t patched lol. Side story: I fought the owner of the game in pvp arena. KQ was new at the time, so this man was dressed as Kira and KQ, while I was Robbie Rotten and KQ. I was really good at pvp now, and was concerned and freaking out at the appearance of the game owner as Kira. “Imagine the amount of clout I would have if I won this game”, I said to myself. I promptly got my ass handed to me 1-2. The owner of the game is a better player than 99.9% of the people that play the game. I know this because he beat me and I’m in that top like .5 to .1%. Dude cooked my ass and I can’t even complain. He was simply better than me. There wasn’t even any lag, I just had a skill issue. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.
my anubis combo: C + C (to start the combo) + m1’s -> barrage. the c and m1’s aren’t required. After barraging, immediately spam G, shadow tag. Since the barrage knocks them back at the end the shadow tag should hit them all the time if you do it correctly, free damage. After that you can try following with R for more damage. If you didn’t start the combo with C you can now use C, then go to M1’s into V(ultimate). Absolutely disgusting damage.

you really gotta try anubis in this game, it's pretty nice, and I think it is a bit better than tw because of being able to cancel moves with R and maving a lot of mobility thanks to C (which is both a dodge and a dash) and G (which is a hard to land projectile that teleports you to the enemy if you land it and does a little cutscene unless the enemy knows how to press F) extra stuff: - in pvp of this game i have encountered 2 bugs, which is camera being locked in one place without following the character after a beatdown and a stand not being summoned after some circumstances, they are pretty annoying, but they can be fixed by getting beatdowned again if you have a competent opponent - this game has the best chariot i have ever seen. The move that makes a tornado-like thingy around them is blockable. - weather report, and it's op. At least against anubis lol. - the vampire spec cannot be used with stands, yet it's pretty strong if you use it right.

The reason I like this game more than YBA is that timestop doesn't mean instant lose for half the stands in the game, cause just yesterday I got frozen, heavy punched, timestopped by a vamp sptw and instantly died
As a avid yba player I feel like the world of stands makes pvp more equal to each player even with time stop stands. Also nothing beats the feeling of doing a road roller.

Hoping you'll play the full release of the game. The game so far has been a blast, not too grindy, fairly enjoyable pvp and the domains which are very fun with friends.
Try checking out golden records next once the new update comes out, it's pretty cool and has a pretty unique way to get requiem. Not 100% if it is your cup of tea, but still is something you should look at even if you don't make a video of

Look, I know this is a stupid comment, but I'm still going to ask. Can you play plants vs zombies garden warfare 2? I know it sounds crazy but you might like it since it's a shooter that rewards you for doing basically anything. Along with the variant system I think it's pretty good.
You can double click RMB to do a heavy punch, similar to YBA. just a weaker version of the heavy punch so i just recommend using it for more dmg in time stop

The owner of the game is a better player than 99.9% of the people that play the game. I know this because he beat me and I’m in that top like .5 to .1%. Dude cooked my ass and I can’t even complain. He was simply better than me. There wasn’t even any lag, I just had a skill issue.

my anubis combo: C + C (to start the combo) + m1’s -> barrage. the c and m1’s aren’t required. After barraging, immediately spam G, shadow tag. Since the barrage knocks them back at the end the shadow tag should hit them all the time if you do it correctly, free damage. After that you can try following with R for more damage. If you didn’t start the combo with C you can now use C, then go to M1’s into V(ultimate). Absolutely disgusting damage.

you really gotta try anubis in this game, it's pretty nice, and I think it is a bit better than tw because of being able to cancel moves with R and maving a lot of mobility thanks to C (which is both a dodge and a dash) and G (which is a hard to land projectile that teleports you to the enemy if you land it and does a little cutscene unless the enemy knows how to press F)
extra stuff:
- in pvp of this game i have encountered 2 bugs, which is camera being locked in one place without following the character after a beatdown and a stand not being summoned after some circumstances, they are pretty annoying, but they can be fixed by getting beatdowned again if you have a competent opponent
- this game has the best chariot i have ever seen. The move that makes a tornado-like thingy around them is blockable.
- weather report, and it's op. At least against anubis lol.
- the vampire spec cannot be used with stands, yet it's pretty strong if you use it right.

The reason I like this game more than YBA is that timestop doesn't mean instant lose for half the stands in the game, cause just yesterday I got frozen, heavy punched, timestopped by a vamp sptw and instantly died

As a avid yba player I feel like the world of stands makes pvp more equal to each player even with time stop stands. Also nothing beats the feeling of doing a road roller.

Try checking out golden records next once the new update comes out, it's pretty cool and has a pretty unique way to get requiem. Not 100% if it is your cup of tea, but still is something you should look at even if you don't make a video of

Look, I know this is a stupid comment, but I'm still going to ask. Can you play plants vs zombies garden warfare 2? I know it sounds crazy but you might like it since it's a shooter that rewards you for doing basically anything. Along with the variant system I think it's pretty good.

You can double click RMB to do a heavy punch, similar to YBA. just a weaker version of the heavy punch so i just recommend using it for more dmg in time stop
It also doesn't ragdoll so you can use it mid combo which I really like.
