The Imposter - Guess the yorubas featuring your favourite creators, @Oli_Ekun @seniormanoa Motara, we went really hard on this one, we got people from different tribes all claiming to be yoruba and the judges are tasked with figuring out who the imposters are.
We have 6 Imposters Vs. 2 Yorubas, will the judges be able to figure them out?
Well, let's find out

Can we have a nursing mother episode? Or house wives episode, would love to be in it
Edo people are the greatest Yoruba imposter.
Thumbs up Joy.
That’s because there is Yoruba in Edo, so technically not faking it
@@pixelspro8701there's no Yoruba in Edo state.
Really. I was just saying that if I went there with my Dad growing up in Ibadan and I in Lagos, they never would have guessed, and I’m Edo. My boyfriend literally makes jest of me and calls me an Ibadan girl 😂
@@Acetateslol there is sir or ma
@@Lifeofriley43The part of Edo that you thought are Yorubas is Akoko Edo and that's my LG. Each town in Akoko Edo has their own dialect that are different from each other and none of the languages is Yoruba language.
I’m Yoruba US based and I know all these things. People are usually surprised I can speak and write with àmì ohùn. Lol. Thanks to my mum. I’ll pass it on to my own kids in the future by God’s grace. I know there are some hard questions I won’t be able to answer but come on guys. Love that lady questioning them. 😂 she’ll make you pee your pants
The moment Adedolapo got that abeti aja correctly, I knew she is yoruba, she just doesn't understand the language very well😅
You're so correct
That guy from Ekiti, I could swear his name was Emeka😂😂
I was annoyed as an Ekiti babe that didn't grow up there 😂😂
Tori mogbo Yoruba daada
I swear na real mumu, he shouldn't have rep ekiti in the first place.
Weytin dey worry you😂😂
😂😂😂😂
I almost swear for emeka😂😂😂😂
The way Aisha used her introduction to kick herself out 😂😂 what is ibadan state 😭😭
As in ehn😂
I cringed from here....chai😂
I was just laughing. Automatic disqualification
But she is one of the yoruba among them
Most people from Ibadan say that I guess they want a state. It’s actually common to say it as a pride
I’m Yoruba and I would’ve failed woefully 😂😂😂 these questions
That's disgraceful
Hahaha 😂😂 even me too
Swrs 😂😂😂
@@raydosng sorry sir
I am igbo but would have totally fooled them. Was born and breed in ibadan. Had my pry, sec and uni education in ibadan. If i speak yoruba for them, them go fear😂
To think that i got all these questions without even thinking twice and i am not even Yoruba....maybe because i lived all my life in a Yoruba environment and i did history. Yoruba too sweet abeg.....Bashorun gaa was a chief in the old oyo empire and he is a tyrant
Same here 😂
You're awesome
If Samson’s name was Duro Jacques, I would have believed he’s from Lagos but definitely not ekiti
You did not fail o 😂 that lady in white should not claim Edo again because I know she has drank our water and eaten out pepper 😂😂
She’s one of us, she can’t even say otherwise 😂😂😂
@@MynameiBoss Person wey dey talk Lafun 😂😂
Hahahaha
But they were suppose to be 2 winners nw and the other lady (the voice over artist) wasn't Yoruba so who is now the second winner if that lady on white is from Edo
Abi na me no watch am well

My Igbo brother said "Durojaku", im not even Yoruba but bro should have done better 😂😂😂😂

😂 wetin then?
But he is funny sha. He deserves 👏🏾
Duro: wait
Aka -Jaku: hand of wealth
Jaku: Wealth
Duro-Jaku: Durojola?
Likeeee😂
That guy that said ekiti don't speak Yoruba is splitting rubbish 😢
She wounded me with laughter when she said Lopez 😂😂😂😂
same😂
First of all, we already told Joy ‘ARIKE’ to stop claiming Edo since school days… person wey sabi our culture pass some of us sef… and she took the name of my car… 🌚🌚🌚
😂😂😂
So why did you not marry her and indiginise her into Yoruba proper?
Please my brother we need more content like this it's very funny and interesting, we are expecting more of this thanks
We're definitely working on it
Iboss, I feel you should do language detection. Speak any Nigerian language and the judges guess or SAY African languages
We want more of this Kabiyesi🔥❤️
Finally seeing Nigerian creators giving us top tier videos. Love it!
Thank you Tobi 🙌🏾🙏
This is entertaining & educative, more of this. Nice one Arike(Joy), Miss Lopez should've told them it's their family name, some Yorubas especially in Lagos bears Portuguese, and Brazilian names. Oloye Durojaku is a cruise. 😂
Yoruba people are not only restricted to the Southwest, Kwara state is 90% Yoruba, other states like Kogi, Edo, Delta states have parts that bear Yoruba's names and speak the language fluently!
This right here!
Exactly. Arike lady is Yoruba. Forget about the state part.
That is because Edo is close to Ondo state. There is even a part that is called Akoko Edo
this is literally the best thing ive seen on TH-cam this year 😂 I NEED MORE
To be fair on Joy, she has a Yoruba middle name, & she wanted to say something about her Mom, maybe her mom is Yoruba which makes her Yoruba. They all have high Yoruba influence that why it difficult to tell, moreover they were probably all born & breed in Yorubaland.
Joy is Yoruba, We just love erasing women's identity, and that's why even if I marry a non-Yoruba man. My children would know how to speak the language.
That's the whole point of the game. To throw them off. So, living all your life in Yoruba land and speaking Yoruba more than Oduduwa does not make one Yoruba.
Do you know the meaning of Oduduwa.?..Hello, Son or daughter of the soil is different from Resident or people from other tribes born on the soil...Same in all places of the World. You must have a family compound ( Agbo- lle). I knew one of my friend stayed all life in the east speak Igbo fluently, but can't hold on to any post or anything there because not a son of the soil...Stop gaslighting!!!
Well, many are already holding a post in yorubaland than actual yoruba pple because they can fool u very well with fake yoruba names and the way they speak.
I came to TH-cam for something else and stumbled on this. It was really fun. ❤
Thank you Adenike, don’t forget to subscribe
I don't even know when I spent the whole time watching, quite educating 😊😊
I dey read for exam oooh, I never skip am
We need more of this kind of content. Oye k'agbasa wa large nau
I searched something else and this literally started playing without my consent but I loved it
Cool stuff. I suggest the judges have writing materials so they can take note of the players names and extra details, instead of asking them everytime they need to talk to one of them.
Asking them again is part of the examination to check for consistency.
Consistency? When they don't remember the names themselves. Anyone could change their answers and they wouldn't even notice.@@samuelolaoke7188
@@samuelolaoke7188I agree but it wouldn’t hurt for the judges themselves to like actually know the names they started originally by having it written down, so when they ask they can see if what they said matches with what they wrote initially
If i come to this show, nobody will believe i'm a proud Yoruba man, even Nigerians sometimes doubt that i'm Nigerian with my accent & the shape of my head 😂😅🤣
You get flat head shape?
Lol
😂😂😂😂 funny person
Honestly people say I look Ghanaian
😅 I wan see ya head
I knew that Adedolpo was Yoruba but struggled with the language, but when she forgot her last name, she gave imposter energy.
I'm not a Nigerian and I really enjoyed watching this. It just reminded me how I barely know much about my parents village and native languages 😂😂
Omo I don’t see this Joy coming, this is crazy. I was rooting for her that she’s Yoruba.
Well done Kabiyesi please keep up and don’t keep us waiting.
We all rooted for her mehn 😂😂😂
Thanks for the nice words
@@MynameiBoss I knew she was an Edo person from her look. I am also an Edo state person who grew up in Akure, I would have camouflaged perfectly as a Yoruba person and answered all the questions perfectly.
Favour Onyeokeh turned David Adeyemi 😭😂. Nice👍
"Arike pre-order" completel took me out.....needed 5 mins recover😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣
🎹🇳🇬I am a middle aged Yoruba lady and have lived most of my life in Lagos. But l would not have been able to answer 80% of those questions because we speak more of English than Yoruba !
But your programme is a rude awakening !
Durojaku ko. Durojakujaku ni. Ogbeni drop mic 😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂 KO koshi bota 😂
😂😂 Emeka no try
😂😂😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 The guy no try at all... I no know how you go come from Ekiti State and you no go know Elemure...

The way they clapped for that David Adeyemi😂😂😂
We knew he was lying at that point 😂
😂😂😂😂 The lady in white is literally more Yoruba than a lot of Yoruba….. what!!!!
Omooooo, that lady succeeded in fooling me too. As iiiinnnnnn.
Motara be like...
That is because she is actually Yoruba, she is Yoruba Edo...
Yes o. My owan sister. We have close ties to Yoruba
😂
Don't tell me Danjuma is from Delta
Fatai Rolling dollar...... I am from Edo and i grew up with the song in EDO state
But with the way he was arguing sha, that is giving Ekiti
I was so sure it was June and Arike wow!!!! Atleast I got one right, June’s Yoruba was too smooth and the accent was there.
Yorubas are one of the largest ethnic groups in Africa with a rich culture and history. I am even more astonished by the fact that there are way more Yorubas in places like Brazil, Trinidad/Tobago, Cuba and some Carribean countries.
I can’t believe I got both Dolapo and June . I almost thought Arike was Yoruba till she didn’t know what 25 was . You can’t be speaking that conc yoruba and fail such a simple question . I knew Dolapo was butty Yoruba from the start cos she wasn’t even trying to prove anything . I concluded on June when they were just 3 and of course the other girl wasn’t Yoruba . . I shd be one of the judges 😂
With this breakdown, you’ll do well as a judge 😂😂😂
I speak yoruba well and I don't know what 25 is😭🤣I have an idea but I'm not sure
If Joy was Youruba she would have flawed to give them a reason to doubt. The game is to identify the Yourbas and she wouldn't give herself out like that. She did well no doubt
Haaaaaaa,ẹyin alága wa, ètò tí ẹ ń ṣe yìí wú ni lórí púpò. Láṣẹ Olódùmarè ọpọlọ yín kò ní kú. Òkè òkè lè ooo máa lọ. Ire ó. Well done job sir's and ma.
I enjoyed this show.
It was funny n revealing.
I learnt from it.
Thanks to the judges n contestants
Attention! Wow. As entertaining as this was purposed to be, it also made me very sad. I am Nigerian and Yoruba, born not in Nigeria. I really love our Yoruba language with all its dialects. But do you see how those that were actually Yorubas did so poorly compared to the others like the young lad from LASU?- he fooled me. Also the lady in white dress with the black gele, Arike, who would have thought she was not even Yoruba? Not that any of them did exceptionally well, but the non Yorubas did way better than my people. So sad😢. Do you know most Spanish people have their kids speaking Spanish first before they learn English in school? It is beautiful to be able to speak with a friend or family in public without the person next to you listening in on your conversation sometimes. Also losing our language is throwing out a critical part of our identity. We can’t even speak grammatically correct English. Why? Because we have lost our first foundation for Language- our mother tongue. Sad. Why do you think people like Peter Fatomilola, Kola Oyewo, Akin Lewis, etc speak English so very well? Because they also speak Yoruba very well. Think my people. Let’s not make mockery of our culture and identity. Learn to speak Yoruba. Ile ni a nwo ki a to s’omo L’oruko. Naani naani naani, ohun ti a ni la n naani. Cherish what you’ve got. Your mother tongue. Yoruba language. My two cents. Thanks.
Very sad honestly
Well, the parents of the Yoruba people might not have raised their children speaking Yoruba to them so you can not really blame them. I know of a particular person who grew up in Port Harcourt to Yoruba parents but she can not say more than a few phrases and she only understands a bit, would you say it's her fault? Her parents only spoke English to her and then she grew up in a non Yoruba state. There are many people like that in Nigeria, not just Yoruba but other tribes
Also i would have to disagree with your analogy with Spanish People. In Spain, the only official language is Spanish, not English so obviously English is not a must.
@@ayoaluko8643 like seriously it's not fair
As a Yoruba child u don't know how to speak our language 😢😢😢😢
Most times when you speak Yoruba or at other language in public, don't you think you make the people nearby think you're planning a conspiracy against them...
U said a lot boss, but the real yoruba were trying not to get caught
Omo Lagos generation of Yorubas you're not representing us well😭 Una dey fall hand die
😂😂😂
No vex😂
I knew number three was putting too much effort so she isn’t.
And the lady who wasn’t putting the effort from the beginning I felt she was…
Those two I knew from start.
It’s a game so you must think from a players mind.
Oli Ekun and Seniormanao on the same show?? Where have I been? I love it.
Only us can make that happen!
This was such abamazing episode. However, I think it will be great for the judges to say the answers to the questions, so other people can learn too. ❤
I love that it’s educative though❤
Big thumbs up to the hosts
Thank you 🤗❤️
😂the way they clapped for David Adeyemi, Baba said maybe you're going for an official something 😂😂
But what does it normally mean?
i think, single & married wear it differently.
In Yorùbá land, one's marital status can be deciphered from which side one tilts one's cap towards. In the Yoruba culture and traditions, married men are expected to tilt their caps towards the left side while single men are to tilt towards the right!
@@lukmanaliyu7386It signifies marital status
😂😂😂😂
See as i was rooting for imposter Arike 😂... nice act 👏
Mehnnn the lady in white is sooo good!!!
I don’t even know half of what she knows and i am yoruba lol
Even though d number 4 lady is struggling with Yoruba, the judges should have known she is Yoruba. I was so sure she is Yoruba
Same. She got all the unexpected questions right. It was obvious she was yoruba just not good with the language
Joy bodied the yoruba act well😂my Edo turn yoruba baby❤
Please continue this show o ,I’ve watched this video for like 3times now …we want more of this show
Thank you, new episode drops this weekend 🤗

We all did 😂

Mehn, I love this show
I am not from Ibadan but we where taught greetings in Ibadan when I was in secondary school doing Yoruba. Immediately Motara asked her ki ni sho and she didn't reply,I just said it is over😂😂😂.
Exactly! Immediately she said Ibadan state i was like it is over.
That guy from ekiti disappoint my father while the lady from eleyele made my mom proud 🥹😂
Guyyyyyyy, Arike pre order is crazzzyyyyyy😂😂😂❤
Lol I like this show... I think the contestants should sit as well. Some were looking kinda exhausted from standing after a while.
Exactly
Ibadan state dey kill me 😂😂
I suspected June and Dolapo from the beginning and I was right😂
Hats off to Joy though….she really had them there😂
Omo....Arike is a first class imposter
She deceived me. E remain small make I swear say na yoruba
Omo, Joy ‘Ariel’ got all of us….she even sabi pass me wey be Yoruba😂😂😂
Oyindamola is definitely Yoruba. The "Hi" in the beginning belongs to only we the yorubas
I said that too lol
I love the Data Science woman! Mrs. Ada... She did very well
Is oli ekun hype for me😂😂😂😂
Motara don’t disappoint

Cameramen: biko do CU next time. Motara's questions needed to be studied wahala
This ended up being a very lovely watch. Love it
Hey Kabiyesi, I'd love to be in another "Guess the Yoruba" or a "Guess the Edo" video. This was fun to watch! I'll be expecting!!!

One thing I never thought would happen to me? I actually enjoyed this. @Kabiyesi well done

No actually lol. i wasnt raised there meaning It is my dad who was raised there.I was born and raised in Lagos. i uderstand their dialect a little but cant speak nothing. But I'm still Ekitikete right
I’m from Ekiti and I can’t even speak Ekiti dialect fluently

Watching this programme it shows that all Nigerians love to speak YORUBA
**Lagosians not Nigerians, if you go to Ebonyi, Katsina or Bayelsa state I'm very sure Yoruba language wouldn't be the mainstay.

I so much love June energy mann..😅😅😅
Lmao I thought I understood Yoruba but when they did the introduction I was lost lmaoooo this is a sign for me to go learn more
This is very interesting to watch & the concept makes sense. It would be nice if the judges can make more effort to address contestants by names, especially ater the 1st round, also try to take notes.
