"it doesn't matter if your dhcp server is in an airport, at home, in a desert 🏜 or in a jungle" I never had that much fun learning or brashing up like this before. I am a permanent fan of your from now Prof.
I appreciate you SO very much. Your wonderful analogies make very complex technical processes seem straightforward and completely understandable. You have impacted my life in such a positive way. Thank you.
I liked your classes so much that I subscribed. I am glad that I came by your videos. Thanks for your time for creating such wonderful videos and sharing. God bless you, Sir for doing such a great favor for millions of viewers.
You explain the topic in very simple way and also graphics you use are very easy to understand. Thank you very much for explaining networking topics with all of us. You cleared many doubts of mine and I am watching all the videos you shared. Thank you Sunny sir.
For some unknown reason my gmail keeps disconnecting from Google servers in my chrome browser and says gmail is disconnected. Often times I write my gmail on my desktop then when I click send I get error messages. So then I open gmail on my phone and send the message from my phone with no problems whatsoever. This should not be happening. I'm supposed to have the best internet in my country so I'm wondering if there is a problem with how my computer is communicating with my router. I know nothing about routers and internet settings etc so I researched and found your "subnetting the Sunny way video". At last. Finally! Somebody who can *actually* explain things *clearly* to a total non-techie. This is the 7th Sunny video i have watched. And I feel like I understand what you have taught. I haven't learned enough to solve my gmail/chrome problem yet but I am confident that if I don't learn the answer from you I'll at least learn what questions I should be asking, You are such a breath of fresh air Sunny. I thank you for your videos and for your guidance. You totally rock Sunny!
Wonderful way of explaining the process could you also tell me that its not a manual process right dora is done automatically when anyone client comp searches or boots up the system then it automatically discovers for DHCP virtually
I feel seeing your video i can understand networking in simple English. Great lecture and already am very much interested to learn more. Can i request is there a way or order in which i need to study . It will be great if you can guide which playlist order/sequence to play for a new person to understand the networking. Many thanks
There is a benefit to static IP addresses: Static IP addresses allow the client computers where a wireless device (like a multifunction printer) is located even if the device is in a low power mode. The Client simply goes to the Static IP address of the wireless printer (with the static ip address) and with the knock on the door of the wireless printer it wakes up and responds to the print or scan request. If the IP address was done by DHCP then when the printer goes into low power mode and client may look on the IP address it thinks the printer is located, but is assigned to a different device by DHCP and will cause the print request to fail because it can't find the printer. It is necessary in this DHCP scenario to need to wake the wireless printer out of low power sleep mode before trying to print or scan.
Sir tremendous videos you are posting .With in a short period of time I am able to understand the topic.but sir kindly upload videos of topics related to server like DNS,ADDS,DHCP,REMOTE ACCESS AND ALL THOSE TOPICS NEED TO BE UNDERSTAND FOR A SERVER PLEASE SIR WAITING FOR YOUR KIND REPLY REGARDS
The DNS (domain name system) are a group of servers that handle public ip addresse on the internet. They have a database of URLs, each with a corresponding IP address, so they resolves web URL domain names(e.g www.facebook.com) into actual public ip addresses so that any gateway can forward client packets to the correct server(s) for any client request.
It means sunny, that ip configuration cnging every after let say two day lease but i am connecting at same place after two days then ,all ip configuration i will find differnet then last lease?
Thank you sunny. if the DHCP server is configured to allocate let say 200 IP addresses to the hots or the given range is of 200 IPs at a Coffee shop. what happens if more people come to a coffee shop and they want to connect their devices ?? Thanks
when i manually assign an ip address due to ip conflict.. i should do ipconfig /flushdns > ipconfig /release > ipconfig /renew ? am i right. will appreciate your feedback! thanks for sharing your knowledge. you will reap what you sow someday
Hey, Sam. I do not have a hardcopy. I wish I had a book. I made these videos based on several sources, textbooks, the Internet, and some other websites in order to give an "accurate" (close to it) presentation.
why does the IP address have a lease? is it because there is a limit of IP addresses that can be provided so if a device with an IP address is no longer connected to that network it can be re-used for another device instead of wasting that IP address on an unused device?
Mr.Sunny, you are the best teacher i have ever seen on the internet!
Sooo Truuuuuue

Hello Sunny, you are very good at explaining these topics. When is the default gateway same as the DHCP Server?
whenever it is necessary (like home network, or small network or for small company.)

If the offer packet is a 'broadcast' type too, then how come a particular client only will respond to that offer?
