Jack and Victor live directly next to each other. Victor's door is on the northern wall, if you will. Jack's is on the east. Isa lives on the west. There's nobody between then, although some liberties were probably taken regarding the layout of their houses themselves. It's unlikely that their living rooms are actually on the inner edge of the home next to each other. As far as I remember, the bathroom and bedroom doors face each other, both of which are right next to the front door (as seen in episode 1 of season 1 when Jack views the apartment from my memory).
Yeah the layout doesn’t make sense because usually when you enter Victors flat you turn to the left to head to the living room/kitchen so his flat is on Isa’s side of the building.
Some ones lived in a tower block, I have as well, found myself often trying to work out how 6 residences, four two bedrooms and two one bedroom on each floor fit and mirror each other.

Only moved from there because they were being demolished. Each of those buildings had 4 homes on each floor. The tall thin ones (3-bedroom homes) didn't have ANY of the houses connected, they were separated by the elevator shaft on one side and a staircase on the other The wide blocks (2-bedroom homes) did indeed have one neighbour closely ajoined

I think they were just moving with the times editing wise. The later ones take a bit of getting used to as it's filmed in higher def and their make up looks a bit strange at first but once it's Still Game that's all that matters I guess 😎 cheers man.

Wonder who changed it, dancing queen fits much better for that joke. In the UK BBC One launched in 1936, ITV ("Channel 3") in 1955, BBC Two in 1964, Channel 4 in 1982 and Channel 5 in 1997. Those were the only free channels available unless you paid for cable/satellite. My parents didn't have a lot of spare cash when I was growing up so we didn't get Sky (what Jack got) until I started working and paid for the Sky subscription. Can you imagine kids these days living with only five TV channels, no internet/TH-cam, nothing on demand via Netflix etc.? They don't know how good they've got it!
Grew up in the 90s and my parents didn't have much either, grew up with "cooncil telly", and tbh there was more on TV then than there is now as the competition was tighter, and the big three got the biggest viewing figures. Now you just end up scrolling for half an hour and give in because theres nothing on but reality TV or some police drama.
I've noticed there are US viewer guides on here, showing how they can pick up local channels for free via their analogue TV ariel. Exactly how Freeview is picked up. So it would seem that before Netflix etc took off, that a great majority of US viewers for a few decades were duped into watching expensive cable TV as standard when it wasn't always necessary

The zoom on the hatch episode was done in reference to Jaws, as its the same effect used when the shark is spotted, as a call back to jack and victor talking about jaws earlier in the episode.. again as in the episode where they were hospital dj's, that episode was again let down by replacement music (as seen in netflix & some of the dvd releases) as it loses the impact on some of the jokes, in 5his case being that when boaby is dancing in the bar, in the original he is playing dancing queen by abba, a famous gay anthem, only to be replaced with what resembled a 1970s porno theme. Its all to do with BBC being too tight to pay out for music licensing on anything other than the original broadcast. If you watch these reworked releases there are a lot of little bits changed or removed here or there, which, although doesnt totally spoil it, it can make those moments affected not as funny as intended. I think if you do end up having to do the later series as patreon, it might be worth you doing a collab on some of them with Squirrel as i know hes been wanting to find a way to do them for over a year now, and i know you guys share a lot of the same fan base, and support each other, so that would be something to look forward to!

They were never too good with continuity in Still Game. The ending of the second episode here makes no sense when you watch the Christmas/New Year episode where they are trapped in an elevator.
It's a comedy series not a documentary your picking out stuff bout the weed plant and the leaves. When 60% of people watching wouldn't know that it's the flowers/ buds you really want.

Brilliant, I knew you being American was going to comment on the lack of buds on the plant 😂, back then in this country anyone who smoked, 95% were smoking "coonsil" (counsel estate low grade hash), only people with basic knowledge of cannabis smoked bud, the propaganda here was that effective and believe it or not, hash smokers did actually think you just smoke the leaves, it's almost as if they put it in the episode like that. Hope this makes sense, it was a cultural difference I thought you'd like to know. It's very different now, coonsil is gone and everyone smokes bud or eats edibles, thanks to what happened in America. We get some cali weed and edibles here every know and then. Star dawg is the dominant strain here.

Brilliant, I knew you being American was going to comment on the lack of buds on the plant 😂, back then in this country anyone who smoked, 95% were smoking "coonsil" (counsel estate low grade hash), only people with basic knowledge of cannabis smoked bud, the propaganda here was that effective and believe it or not, hash smokers did actually think you just smoke the leaves, it's almost as if they put it in the episode like that. Hope this makes sense, it was a cultural difference I thought you'd like to know. It's very different now, coonsil is gone and everyone smokes bud or eats edibles, thanks to what happened in America. We get some cali weed and edibles here every know and then. Star dawg is the dominant strain here.
