I am an 11 year old girl and I didn’t know how much someone needs to communicate with God until I heard this song. My mom always sings it whenever she cleaning or something and I was scrolling on TikTok and stumbled upon this mother blessing her daughter because she was getting married and they were playing this song in the background and I immediately recognized it. As someone who was raised in a full Yoruba household you learn at a young age the only person you have everywhere you go is the God of this universe. He is truly the only one who is gonna be there when no one else is. He is the only person who is never gonna think down on you because you’re his child. I go to church every Sunday and I never been in tears connecting with God until I started to sing this song. I was moved tremendously. I have 3 exams tomorrow and when he said “Owo oluwa nbe lori eko mi o” I was brought into tears as I began to go into prayer. The God who lives on forever, the God who sent his only son to die on the cross not for him but for US, the God who told you “your worth it” when you felt like you weren’t even worth a penny, the God who said “ Yes” when an evil spirit said “No”, the God of every single person who lives in this galaxy promised me I will pass my exams, lord I give all the praise to you and I will continue to praise you until my tongue goes dry and I’m not able to anymore, THANK YOU JESUS!!
God bless your journey with Him may you never look back but always place the cross before you and the world behind you, no one cam ever give you what God can even when the world looks convincing it could never.
