17:06 “Glasgow, that’s not the capital… Malta, that’s a country… Augusta… that’s the capital of Maine. Damn it dude” this sequence made me laugh. Great vid and great maps!
The map is actually really disappointing. Even though there is 1000+ locations a lot are repeats. I got 3 of the same towns in just my 2nd game, just a different part of town.
Glad you enjoyed it! (Also MNstorms, the distribution of the regions are difficult as there are towns of different sizes, usually you get a good variety, but I think you got unlucky)
Appriciate you playing my map :D In case you're curious where the stupid idea came from. A streamer did live challies where winner got to pick map but it had to be official and continental or worldwide. A bit fed up with suggestions that (intentionally) didn't fit the criteria, he said something along the lines of "we're not gonna play that or freaking bathrooms of cameroon" and the idea was born.
For the Japanese one, the sign of the running man is an iconic symbol of Osaka, while the golden pavilion is one of the (many) signature temples of Kyoto. Quite famous and worth remembering!
Try my newly-released An Unofficial Street World! 191 countries, 4,200+ extremely-carefully chosen photospheres and unofficial coverage locations all on a street, all correct compasses, all roads that line up on the Google Map, all countries regionally balanced (when possible, some poorer countries it's not with my strict selection criteria), and all countries with rounds of varying difficulty and type. I am biased, but I think it is the complete, full-world Geoguessr experience!
the VERY first location is not that far away from where I did student work at a museum. It's a very beautiful Brussels neighborhood! And the 4th one is a very famous landmark in Antwerp not too far from the Port (it's called Havenhuis, Haven means port in dutch, so yeah)
Funny, Weird, and unique buildings - 20,414. Got the city right three times, didn't guess Rio de Janeiro but guessed Brazil correctly, my license plate game is bad so I didn't even guess Cali on the US round. Breathtaking Japan - 20,352. I went to Japan when I was 8 (13 years ago!), and the first three locations seemed close enough to locations I've been to IRL. Or at least they seemed that way. Balls of the World - 15,752. Not a ball connoisseur. On the Maryland round I saw the outline of Maryland on a poster but I thought it was Florida. Whoops. 197 Capitals... in the US - 7,835. I'm bad at US :( Bathrooms of Cameroon - 4,347. Need to step up my bathrooms of Cameroon game
5:50 this location brings something special to me. My parents have a picture of them on their honeymoon going to this exact spot in japan with that sort of super-hero esque man just right behind them.
I love how quick I was with Roseau 😊 Driven through to get to family in Warroad! Love the user maps, people are very creative with their ideas, who knew a whole map could be made with Cameroonian toilets?
Great video! The Capitals of the World in the US map was a ton of fun. Also, Leisure World is a gated senior community. Unfortunately have to drive to the other side of DC to get to an amusement park.
Do your self a favour and make sure Japan is the next country you visit, it is easily the best country I’ve ever been to, went in winter with the snow in Hokkaido and the north just amazing. I can’t wait to go back there every other season
Lee is probably Robert E. Lee, President and general of the Confederacy. It's no surprise he got so much representation down in NC tbh. Not a great human being at the end of the day though
@@ChicagoGeographer No idea honestly. Our county is Johnston county so it isn’t that. And there isn’t a Lee road or anything around I’m pretty sure. But can’t wait for you to do the NC geoguessr map, I have watched all of that series
@@mreverly All sorts of stuff. I just happened to click on this video within a minute after it came out, and there were no comments. I'll bet I've done more in my life than you have in yours, jackass.

The capitals in the us was quite fun, would like to see more of it

Man, bathrooms of Cameroon is the ultimate map of them all. Heck of a concept. Also glad to know there’s exactly 5 bathrooms in the entire country.
Appriciate you playing my map :D

Yeah, that location is the most obvious Osaka you can get haha.
As a Serb seeing Belgrade, Montana gave me a good chuckle
I live 15 minutes from that location, so I also had a laugh once he rotated it around and I recognized Main St. Cheers!
Thank you for checking out my map on the Capitals! I didn't think it would work but it surprised me how many capitals there actually were.
Always enjoy watching the viewer map games. Thanks for playing my map 😊.
Need to figure out who this lee guy is. Why does he own everything in downtown Clayton. Lee Clayton perhaps?
Those were some really cool looking buildings (mostly)! Certainly a map with some fun replayability.
the real question is why would someone make a photosphere of their bathroom and put it on google maps

If you see a grocery store called Giant, you're in MD, VA or PA.

The trees in Roseau looked more north than the ones in Montevideo. Hard to notice in towns though.
Multiple rounds that I've been to IRL! The Maison Couchie in Brussels and then the Golden Temple in Kyoto. Both stunning in person.
enjoyed the video, you had some really nice guesses!
Silver Bay ball man! Edit: wow I’ve been to 2/5 ball locations that you got!

who would intentionally search for bathrooms in cameroon lmao
someone trying to find a bathroom in Cameroon
I used to live right next to that Fry’s. I miss it.
Great maps. This is always a good series.
FRY'S. I live in Burbank! It's always fun to see your town in a GeoGuessr video. Unfortunately Fry's closed down. 😢
What about the building?
As someone who lives near leisure world, it is an infamous retirement home.
In Rio it is a cathedral. Very pretty inside :)
Loved the capitals of the world in the US. What a fun map!

First time i beat CG in a map! That being said, having been to 2 of the japan locations definitely helps😊
RIP Fry's
Lol you said Kentucky and the first thing to my mind was frankfork
I could’ve gotten my best ever score on the first map if I didn’t make these 3 switches from the right city…

17:14 - Hamilton is a capital. It's the capital of Bermuda.
oh right hahaha
But it was 197 capitals of the world, so only the independent countries.
you should have joinned zi8gzag on his japan trip

He wasn't the president, Jafferson Davis was

Same with New Prague. We don't say it the original way.
And Lima, Ohio. It's pronounced the same as the bean.
