Oh Mate! Not just a watercolour demo, a lesson in love as well.
Eric, you have such a kind voice.. and your love for your family .. especially for your wife… so evident.. . should I add also … You are a very good teacher… without any doubt… Thanks for sharing your talents with us ..
His voice added a softness to the painting as well.....
Really enjoyable
You are so right about the wet into wet stage being like a mind game. It’s like you’re unsure whether the water will do what you want, whether one wrong move will mess it up
Hi Eric Karel here I like your loose free style. Thank you
Hi Eric, I love this. Your wife always looks beautiful in your paintings. It's wonderful to watch the care you take when painting her. Thank you!
Eric, I love this and you really did a fabulous job capturing your wife. You are so lucky to have more time to spend with your family.
This is rally beautiful
Thanks Eric for the great tips!

It's a beautiful painting - and so well explained. Thank you Eric.
Mind blowing....
Great composition Eric, I love the softness of the light!
Simple and effective technique. Thanks Eric.
Thanks! Very informative since I avoid figures in my paintings. Looking forward to hearing about your line of brushes!
I appreciate the very careful and thoughtful strokes of the last layers on hair and the clothes. Great job and inspiring.
Thank you for sharing, this was very useful! 🙂
Thank you so much Eric. Watching you paint the jacket was a real eye opener . Great demo . May God bless you with peace .
Really these demos are very helpful
Great demo and a beautiful painting. Thank you for your instructions on painting figures as it came at a most opportune time.
Thank you Eric this was a beautiful demonstration, and all of your explanation were so clear to understand. We are blessed to have you to watch.
Great technique👍👍
So helpful! Your talk about not being afraid of failing while the painting looks so flat helped me stay hopeful!
I’m having trouble taking my painting from that phase to 3D looking phase! Now I realize it can be a challenging process even for you! Thanks a lot for the video and lovely painting
Im pretty sure she is looking right.. beautiful painting. Thinly you for sharing this.

Very good explanation.I gave up to paint but you made me to begin again.
Thank you very much.
Wonderful use of different values of shades... I am learning, how not to overwork on a water colour from your demos... Thank you🙏
Hello from La Paz Baja California Sur. You are a watercolor artist and a sensible human being. I enjoy your channel. Thanks.

Thank you

Thanks
❤...hvala... Polako učim...
Thank you for this video. Yesterday when I was painting a bunny, after the first wash I was like ffs, I screwed up again, here we go. Then I realized Im saying this sentence in my head after every single first wash :D of every painting :D What you said makes total sense, there is not much after first wash, just big blobs of washed out colors so really what you have to do is to keep going and keep bringing the painting to life. Have a good day x
this is so informative and cool to see:0 watching the "figures in the distance" portion feels like seeing a magic trick haha it's crazy how much the brain fills in all the missing pieces
Just beautiful. It was a treat to watch you paint this lovely picture from start to finish. I love it! XOXOJANE
I've started to add people to my scenes. I need variations...groups, women, children, dogs and locations sizing. Thanks
You are good!
Awesome demonstration! I love the the library you painted (frequently visit it too and love the blossoming cherry season). Also, the answer to your wife’s question if she is as beautiful as your painting portray her: “No painting can be as beautiful as you!” 😊.
Ps. Do you do local workshops or classes? Would love to come and learn! Thanks!
Eric, This is a really great video breaking down the three stages of light, middle and dark values. Thank you!
👌👌👌
I learn much from the way you explain your process, the pace between, when to change the brushes, etc. I also like that you tell the story behind your painting. Thank you.
