You could see the moment everything came rushing back, when they touched faces. As Arnaud pulls away, and appears that he can barely hold back emotion, his lips quivering, and eyes searching, and Leslie searches right back. Leslie's look as soon as they embrace... is as if she is finally exhaling for the first time in years... That energy was beautiful. I sincerely hope that something was rekindled, and blossomed. I've watched from the curtain opening to the end over and over...truly beautiful.
OMG I used to love this programme, it was everything best about the French. No shame or embarassment about being in love. Then the station got Americanised and they thought it was not hip enough and shut it down. This was just one of so many beautiful moments. How the French can discuss their romantic feelings so openly and candidly is truly wonderful. Love and romance seem to have disappeared from the western world, so sad. Unfortunately such cooled love affairs rarely survive re-heating for very long, but it's a joy to share in the fantasy of love for ever after. What a lovely girl! Also the hostess was so strikingly beautiful. Amazing concept, and perfect cast, with just the right amount of humour to relieve the poignant moments.
as an american i agree that when the american corporation gets involved especially with reality tv shows and such its normally gonna go to crap. i like how this is so genuine and raw
Wow! He’s CLASSIC SWISS! I’m American and dated several Swiss when I had lived there. Their lack of communication and emotion is more than a little frustrating but once you break down that barrier it’s sooooooo worth it! I hope this relationship worked out for both of them ❤

Nice story and happy for them, I hope it works out. Odds are usually stacked in not working out because of living in two different areas but where there is a will there is a way. I dated a girl when I was 16 and she was 15 and it was great. So great that we got married and have been together now for 24 years and have two beautiful children. Still hold hands every night when we go to bed.

I saw on social media that they spent the weekend together after the show. It seems the flame had not gone out because two months later they moved to Switzerland and got married. They are still together and have a daughter and a son. Apparently, every year they take a weekend in Paris on the anniversary day of this show and stay in the same hotel.

You can tell the girl loves him - she's completely lost in the moment when they meet. He's a little preoccupied but maybe it's understandable - can't be easy in a TV studio. The girl is absolutely beautiful looking and she seems to be a very nice girl - I reckon all the men in the studio are falling in love with her.
Amazing how the hosts control such strong emotions with just the right amount of humour and jollity, without destroying the moment in any way. The French know how to do love scenes. I hate to imagine how British tv hosts would butcher this programme, shows the difference between the two countries. In France love is something sacred, in Britain it's just an embarassment, no sex please we're British.

It makes me so happy to know that love like this exists. I hope one day I meet someone and our souls connect, recognize each other. I've had it once in my 29 years of age but I was young, I lost it, and when I reached out much later he had moved on. That hurt like hell. It's the first time I'm trying to really let it go. If I'm not meant to be with someone like that ever again, then so it is.. I won't settle for less. It's beautiful and a little painful to see this but I am really happy for them. When you have a love like this you don't need anything else in this world.

Back in 1984 my beautiful Wife & I spent 1 week in Normandy touring D-Day 1944 beaches At St.Mere-Eglise we met an elderly couple like these, in a small local restaurant Turns out HE was a USAAF B.26 Marauder turret-gunner based in Essex, England & after July'44 his unit moved to France. He met & married his beautiful French Wife & she was SO lovely & kind towards us (newly weds) - Ironically his 387th Bomb Group had been based & living down the road from where WE lived ourselves, as a young couple such as these 2 Ironically, we toured Normandy for the entire week on my brand new Kawasaki Z.1000-J Leslie, here, has to be one of THE most stunningly gorgeous young women I've ever set eyes on in my entire life & I can only say that Arnaud guy is one seriously lucky AF, fella !!!!!!! To me she IS THE very definition of the word "Beautiful" in every possible way I do sincerely hope life is kind to her, in future years ❤

The vibe that I'm getting from this young man is that he really did love her. He probably had been hoping to rekindle their young love but had no guts to actually contacted her. At the end - probably recently - he finally decided to open his heart for somebody new and found one. The irony.
She seemed very much in the moment, but also very much in her reverie. As they stood face to face, I could feel her emotional overload; I wonder if he understood that and was compassionate. I hope so. She seems quite lovely, quite open -- a possible setup for a huge let down -- but I applaud her courage.

Big smiles. This reminds me of my youth. I'm in a great spot in life right now. With that said, there are some special girls from my past including one from 6th grade (my first real love) and another one who passed away later in life. I would give the biggest hug to each of them if presented the opportunity. This is a very special poised young woman - note the relaxed mature delivery of her story. I am more optimistic about Arnaud - his eyes fill with tears as she tells him the purpose of this meeting. His stoic appearance is betrayed by his nearly shaking approach to meet and hold her - again, his eyes filled with tears - he clearly has very strong feelings for her, as any intelligent man would. I find it amazing that Google, trying to do translation, is totally pathetic - what can one expect from a trillion dollar company - but, they had no trouble filling the story with pathetic ads.

I think she was a lot more into him than he was into her. She is definitely out of his league now. I doubt they made it anywhere. It's a shame but shows you that young love is... well just that.
They both seemed really sweet, I hope something came of it. I didn't like the awkward format of the show at all, making them perform for the cameras like that could turn out terribly humiliating for her and really uncomfortable for him, so I hope there was a big fat cash incentive involved, or an all expenses paid holiday or something.
A young gentleman and a young lady never forget their first love but the truth of the matter is they generally move on to someone else. Loved seeing these two together again and we all celebrated that moment because we have all had our own first love. But you could tell this gentleman has already moved on with another person. You could see it in his eyes despite the thoughts of still having love for this beautiful young lady. Most people wonder what these relationships would have been like to live out. But we sense reality in what is best at the time we decide to choose anything in life.

Distance relationships like this are weird though. The whole distance makes the heart grow fonder. You have a short intense romantic experience then you romanticise it in your head for 5 years. It's basically a fantasy not reality. Often once they spend time together and it becomes "real" it dies because the fantasy and longing is gone

I saw on social media that they spent the weekend together after the show. It seems the flame had not gone out because two months later they moved to Switzerland and got married. They are still together and have a daughter and a son. Apparently, every year they take a weekend in Paris on the anniversary day of this show and stay in the same hotel.

You can tell the girl loves him - she's completely lost in the moment when they meet. He's a little preoccupied but maybe it's understandable - can't be easy in a TV studio. Amazing how the hosts control such strong emotions with just the right amount of humour and jollity, without destroying the moment in any way. The French know how to do love scenes. I hate to imagine how British tv hosts would butcher this programme, shows the difference between the two countries. In France love is something sacred, in Britain it's just an embarassment, no sex please we're British.

It makes me so happy to know that love like this exists. I hope one day I meet someone and our souls connect, recognize each other. I've had it once in my 29 years of age but I was young, I lost it, and when I reached out much later he had moved on. That hurt like hell. It's the first time I'm trying to really let it go. If I'm not meant to be with someone like that ever again, then so it is.. I won't settle for less. It's beautiful and a little painful to see this but I am really happy for them. When you have a love like this you don't need anything else in this world.

Big smiles. This reminds me of my youth. I'm in a great spot in life right now. With that said, there are some special girls from my past including one from 6th grade (my first real love) and another one who passed away later in life. I would give the biggest hug to each of them if presented the opportunity. This is a very special poised young woman - note the relaxed mature delivery of her story. I am more optimistic about Arnaud - his eyes fill with tears as she tells him the purpose of this meeting. His stoic appearance is betrayed by his nearly shaking approach to meet and hold her - again, his eyes filled with tears - he clearly has very strong feelings for her, as any intelligent man would. I find it amazing that Google, trying to do translation, is totally pathetic - what can one expect from a trillion dollar company - but, they had no trouble filling the story with pathetic ads.

I didn't like the awkward format of the show at all, making them perform for the cameras like that could turn out terribly humiliating for her and really uncomfortable for him, so I hope there was a big fat cash incentive involved, or an all expenses paid holiday or something.
A young gentleman and a young lady never forget their first love but the truth of the matter is they generally move on to someone else. Loved seeing these two together again and we all celebrated that moment because we have all had our own first love. But you could tell this gentleman has already moved on with another person. You could see it in his eyes despite the thoughts of still having love for this beautiful young lady. Most people wonder what these relationships would have been like to live out. She is incredibly beautiful on the outside and seems just as beautiful on the inside. People never forget their first love but rarely is it the same. I’d like to know how this story turned out. She seems to be still be in love but he is hard to read. The heads together on three separate occasions probably tells us his feelings as well. Distance relationships like this are weird though. The whole distance makes the heart grow fonder. You have a short intense romantic experience then you romanticise it in your head for 5 years. It's basically a fantasy not reality. Often once they spend time together and it becomes "real" it dies because the fantasy and longing is gone
