Hey Darren, You're welcome, and that's exactly what this channel is designed for. I may not be able to teach you everything but I can certainly give you adivce. As for gloves, I've actually mde a video on this already, check it out: th-cam.com/video/YB1R8RrHffo/w-d-xo.html
My outfit is almost all from Decathlon lol. Quite cheap yet durable so far, although I'm obviously an amateur: - Kipsta shoes, socks and trousers (~20€, 3€ and 18€) - AllSix kneepads (13€) - Leone groin protection (€8.50, strikes in the nuts are a huge courage killer to me) - Kempa elbow pads (8€) - Diadora gloves (10€, I live near the main factory and outlet) Safe hands on a budget lol
Great video David! Being a smaller built goalkeeper, i found that i am more prone to injuries compared to my counterparts. Eventhough i am always told to "come on, go gloveless" i am still persisting on using those, and they proved to be extremely helpful. Still uncomfortable using shinpads though
Hi, David, my daughter Meredith is the goalkeeper for Sporting Virginia FC U10. They are ranked 2nd in the US and she is trying out for the National team in Kansas City this summer as well as playing in the World Futsal Championships. She swears by Storelli 3/4 pants with built in knee and hip pads, Storelli shirts padded in shoulder and ribs and elbows, Storelli leg guards, and Storelli Gladiator Pro gloves with inserts, Adidas Ace shoes. She uses the same kit but with outdoor cleats for soccer. We really enjoy your videos and tips. Thanks, have a great season & keep smiling! -- Donna
Been playing in goal for 2 years now, but I've recently significantly jumped up to a better level of play and am looking for some knee pads. I'd always get bruising but I'm young and probably stupid so it didn't bother me much. Thanks for the helpful video! (even though you probably won't see this).
Hey ya! Yeah for sure, that's something I plan on doing soon - I don't have much footage from games or training, I try to focus on the match - y'know, in the zone! But stay tuned and I'll try mash something together for you.
Thanks Dave! I think i'll look for some volleyball pads as mine slip all the time and I end up with cut knees and sore backs of knees anyway. The elbow pads look pretty beastly compared to what I have which offer nowt more than a long sleeve shirt to be honest. Best get the wallet out.
hey david first congrats on 1000 subs. second thanks for all the tips in your videos been helping me quite a lot in my games especially with my mentality. for my part i use volley knee pads like you and an undershort i found at aliexpress wich absorbs a lot of the impact from the high dives seeing that i have a bit of calcification in my hips and i use a chest underarmor to absorb the shots because i am a bit of a skinny guy. keep up the good work and hope to see some match highlights :)
Hey ya! Yeah for sure, that's something I plan on doing for you guys - I don't have too much footage from games or training, I try to focus on the match - y'know, in the zone! But stay tuned and I'll try mash something together for you.
Thank you so much David for making such great videos. I learned a lot from your videos. I am just a beginner, so sometimes when I am out in the field, players humiliate me. But now after being you my teacher, I will be able to prove all of them wrong. Thank you so much.
Hey Ramy! Thank you so much, really kind of you dude! Legend. I'll get together a compilation for you, although I don't tend to focus on filming during games or practice - I feel it's important to focus on the game ;) But stay tuned and I'll get something up for ya! Safe hands!
Hmm, might have to check out those undershort padding things, I also need to suss out my technique though as I'm only diving on one side and my right hip is insanely sore and bruised and getting worse from week to week.
I think I will have to visit the sports market to buy some of this stuff. Because online marketing is not available in my country. And it looks quite expensive.
The Uhlsport knee pads are actually not made vor volleyball since Torwart means goalkeeper in german and there is no such position in volleyball, although it suprises me that a german brand produces something for Futsal.
Ahhh! Very good and thank you! I did not know that, I don't speak very good German. Of course, no keepers in Vollyball, so perhaps it is for Futsal. Maybe Handball or something else. Still, it doesn't matter too much - they work for me and it's a great brand!! :)
Howdy David. Question for you or the group here, any suggestions about toe protection? I don't remember how the play went but when saving the ball, my right foot collided with someone's... when I got home was ok and over the days just felt sensitive and the big toe was a bit bruised. Now it's all back and ready to save. I was just wondering about any tips or what people consider to avoid that (I saw there are some toe caps and stuff)? I know a team mate has been on the bench because of a hard bruise there. Cheers!
hey david,i just watched few of your videos and i can tell you it was really good things that you shared here very valuable,i do play goalkeeper in futsal as well so stuff that you've been told here is really useful, now i play in university i do really hope that you can reach back to me because if you don't mind there's a few things that i really want to ask you, thanks a lot david, cheerio!
Hey Muhammad, Thank you kindly for taking the time to write me - I appreciate it. Good to hear that you're a Futsal Keeper! What advice do you need? I'd love to help and offer my advice. I may even do a video on it if I think it'd help :) Let me know...
wow i really didn't think that you'll reply it to me hahha, well probably one from a lot things that i wanted to ask right now is how you set your defense?this is one of my weakness because at the time when the opponent are moving around as the last person that has a really wide view it's the goalie duty to tell the defense, right?so when the opponent are trying to create some spaces it's a lil bit difficult for me to set the defense because i need to put my eyes on the ball as well and trying to read their game pattern,i do really hope that you understand what i'm saying and i really thankful to get a help from a pro player like you David,i appreciate it so much, thankyou!
Thoughts on head gear protection like Rugby style caps or Storrelli Exoshield? Seems if you play more aggresive and dive in there to take balls away you can take some shots to the head.
hello david good vèdio and good job and I thank you for this job but I have a question in my country there no shirt like the vèdio can you lent me one and thank you so much
Does anyone know where I can get a a customize goalkeeper Jersey my school gave me a used one from years ago and cant afford one so I just buy my own but dont know where to go

I like the Reusch Kevlar knee pads. Need to get me some under armour shorts.
Hmm, might have to check out those undershort padding things, I also need to suss out my technique though as I'm only diving on one side and my right hip is insanely sore and bruised and getting worse from week to week.
Me Too! Darren

David could you tell me which equipment is most important you wear in game/training, and what parts of body must be protected'?
Very useful thanks
I think I will have to visit the sports market to buy some of this stuff. Because online marketing is not available in my country. And it looks quite expensive.
