It seems to me the guy on the blue bike has a sensible fear of not wanting to be in a wheel chair for the rest of his life, such a great decision maker, and should be praised for being such a great role model for the viewers!
Your buddy reminds me a lot of myself. It’s not easy getting over that mental hurdle making off camber or steep climbs. Watching someone tackle it first helps but doesn’t always make it easier. Great content as usual John!
Great video! Thanks for the laughs. I'm usually your buddy in that situation as well. However, that didn't look too bad by my limited "abilities", but I know the camera never shows what it really looks like. Why not put the winch on your bike or a tree? Just so he would feel like it wouldn't slide into the water or flip over. Then he could just winch in and use power only when needed? Just curious why that never became an option.
If it came to that I would have just driven his bike up for him. But yes, there were other options available. He just started blazing a go-around unexpectedly. Lol. It was definitely steeper in person than the video shows.

I’ve always admired his riding style. Cautious yet curious. 🤣

Thanks! Yes, off camber riding is nerve racking for sure. All of our laughs are in good fun and we’re always helping each other out.
I genuinely thought you woulda had more views / subs, that was well put together and hilarious 😂
Thanks!
Have you ever rode the VMUTS trails up in Mattawa Ontario? the infamous 666 trail is crazy!
Hey, yes we have done those trails. Unfortunately it was a few years ago before I started filming ride videos. We’ll have to do it again sometime!
