I remember a similar testimony years ago which happened to a sister in NCCF in Ado Ekiti in 2004. It was our last fellowship before passing out, as youth corpers. The sister came out and shared how she was travelling from Ado-Ekiti to Akure; she boarded a 504 station wagon car and sat in the middle. She had a voice clearly, telling her to get down from that car in the motor park. It was so audible, she turned to look back, thinking someone at the back spoke to her, but it was the voice of the Spirit. She obeyed, got down and took the next car loading after that car she was in. The car she got down from, she later saw with her eyes, was involved in a fatal accident and the occupants died. I was so shaken by her testimony because I had never heard anything like that before! I remember after the service, I was in awe of God's grace to deliver, His obedient children, that I went and shook hands with her! That's how I felt again today, listening to this brother's testimony. I was to learn of other cases later. A very poignant case was John G. Lake, featured in God's generals (by Robert Liardon). He was meant to be a passenger on the famous Titanic ship in 1912, as he was invited by one of the wealthy newspaper publishers in London, who he was friendly with. The voice of the Spirit told John G. Lake not to get on the Titanic on her maiden voyage. Well, we all know what eventually happened to that ship. May we truly be his sheep, sensitive to his leading, have ears to hear, and not to be obstinate, like mules, negotiating His instructions!
