    Swami, you are the ‘ VIVEKANANDA’ of our generation.I have watched your many videos in last few weeks. Just to mention- I have been listening to more than 10 Spiritual Masters in last 20 years. And the way you expounded’ ADWAITA VEDANTA’ is UNMATCHED. I have got crystal clear knowledge of SAT CHIT AANANDA( EXISTANCE, CONSCIOUSNESS, BLISS ). EKAM SAT BAHUDA VIPRAHA VADANTI, AHAM BRAMHASMI, SARVAM KHALWIDAM BRAMHA. There is only ONE and not second . I have NO more questions about it. Now my next path is NIDHIDHYSANA. Now I know theoretically BRAMHAN. But , Only through NIDHIDHYASANA I will be able EXPERIENCE the vision what other SPIRITUAL MASTERS had experienced. I sincerely prostrate to yourself for offering such a life changing KNOWLEDGE to not only myself but to the entire world. BLESSED are those who can get this knowledge and IMPLEMENT into their lives continuously for their SELF REALISATION.

    Such a powerful teaching - The true teaching of the Advaitha, distilled by Swami Vivekananda and then now being expressed by this great Swami who truly understands it. Takes a bow. It is such a privilege to be listening to this. May this reach many people and help them towards liberation!

    1) how i wish this illuminating knowledge is reintroduced into regular syllabus
    2) along with this also teach the bible, Quran,
    3) Let people learn and live without quarrelling, in peace
    4) how i wish the mindless Nehruvian socialism is thrown out, instead inclusive practical social responsibilities are re-established, transcending narrow barriers.

    As soon as God knew "I am", - that "I am" can only be thought in as a third person, it is no longer the first person, thus one became two. I know I am, I know that I know that I am. God gave birth to one, one gave birth to two, two gave birth to three and three gave birth to all things.

    Excellent talk again, especially the first half.
    There is another good analogy for question about "being & manifestation", ie. our world of the waking state. All this universe is a God's dream which is experienced through all sentient beings in a similar way we experience our dreams during a sleep. From single mind/consciousness arise space & time & myriads of objects & causal events, perceived by a dreaming subject - all as appearances. "God's mind" can create countless subjects like can split itself "erroneous" mind of a human with dissociative identity disorder (DID). Everything we perceive are creations in God's dream, reflected in ours consciousness which is identical with God's.

    The concept of worshipping Ishta Devta in Sanatan Hindu tradition has the strong Advaita foundation behind it. The method to choosing Ishta Devta is to understand the different sanskaras our sthool (gross), sookshma ( subtle) and karak sharir (bodies) have since the beginning of existence (not just this one life). Then this understanding is put in to the use to turn inwards. Like how Guru Ramakrishna Paramhamsa worshipped Kali Mata which was not just because of a Bhakti but as a conduit to eliminate the flux between these three sharirs (bodies) with the Atman.

    I once attended a lecture by Swami Sarvapriyananda, in which he told the story of a young monk of the Ramakrishna Order, who was suddenly stricken by an incurable disease, and within a few days he died at the hospital. But the core of the lecture was that the doctor who attended the monk was devastated by the suffering and death of such a young person, but the monk consoled him, saying that everything was fine, because the meaning of his life had already been fulfilled to discover devotion to God through Sri Ramakrishna, Sarada Devi, Swami Vivekananda, and that the doctor was very impressed to see that concrete manifestation of the miracle of faith. I cannot find the video of this lecture. Could anyone here tell me in which video I could find this story? Some friends and I have created a channel to subtitle Swami's videos into Portuguese, and I would love to be able to subtitle this one too. Thank you.

      Another word for ignorance is “that which is not”, and so if I wasn’t already aware I could never be ignorant. As the great Ramana Maharshi said the only thing in your way is the thought I have not already realised. Right now you and I are whole and complete with nothing missing... and nothing can be added to myself.

    Once God, the creator, the "self" realized its existence it separated its "self" into all that exists and put its higher "self" into beings like humans to experience a life of not knowing that it's "self" exists and giving the body the ability to wonder and question and also having what is known as "sins" and/or "desires" that the body is hardwired to pursue in order for this dream that God, the creator, the "self" has created for its "self" to continue to live in a state of wonder. All the good and all the evil in this world is made this way for the dream to to have this effect on its "self". It is a duality between two extremes of the "self" so that the body can have the ability one day in time to realize that it exists with the great creation of God, the creator, and to live a life of adventure and wonder.

    QUESTION: I am just at the 16th minute and seems I am so aligned to your teachings Guruji! I have been seeking someone for such a long time and finally am finding refuge in your teachings. I hope I can contribute in spreading this wisdom.
    Even after trying to understand that everything is the Absolute, I am confused about the identity of a soul. Does soul, my individual self, loose its identity when we say it becomes one? I would consider on intrinsic level that we all are the One, since we all are the same source, but when you and I merge to the source, what happens to these identities or individual souls?

    • @Ngasha
      @Ngasha 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, I’ll comment this way: Would you rather just be your own soul or be all souls combined? Because you are really all souls combined, it’s just hidden from you now. It is like asking, would you prefer just $1 or $7billion?

    • @rhushabh1
      @rhushabh1 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Ngasha Thank you for taking your time out and sharing your thoughts. Well I would say its not a choice whether I want it to be like this or like that. I would like to know the path of ascension and whether my identity (soul) is the absolute consciousness or the absolute consciouness a witness to my soul too?

    Swami the why question is about understanding, not only about explanation for explanations are often wrong. Explanation only gives material for understanding even wrong understanding. Ultimately there is only happening, my experience of your talks is joy and clarity, is it ultimate truth?? Presently I don’t know. Kindness is the heart of your talks I appreciate that the most.
    Many years ago when I was new to spiritual enquiry a Tibetan Lama was giving a talk on consciousness and meditation every question anyone asked was going above my head I felt confused. Eventually I summoned the courage to ask the Lama, “ It seems to me that to be a Buddhist you need to be academic an intellectual, and you need to meditate”.
    He looked at me with eyes of great compassion and deep understanding and replied NO, YES, next question please. No-one asked another question, he ended the talk. It was a great relief that enlightenment was not dependent on intellectual understanding, that compassion and kindness was the enlightened mind itself.

    Love your discourses. One request why have you stopped reciting the prayer in Sanskrit? Vedas are incomplete without rhyming of strotras!
