A hilarious thought: if Orochimaru took Sasuke's body, he'd likely spend more time in the lab learning more jutsu than wandering around fighting people. Remember that his own stated goal all along was simply to know everything.
Yeah but people would find out about it, itachi would go to kill him and then when itachi dies then obito or pain goes to try and deal with him and then when they die then Konoha would believe it’s a threat and other nations would find out and they would try and search for him because he’s already a criminal but now he doesn’t have to hide so he’ll probably go from lab to lab and kill whoever gets in his way, he wouldn’t have to sneak around anymore

A HUGE thing that's also being forgotten: the ONLY thing holding back Orochimaru from mastering sage mode was that his bodies were weak and couldn't handle it but you'd have to assume Sasuke's body could meaning you'd have Orochimaru with Sasuke's body AND snake sage mode AND potentially a mangekyo sharingan AND he'd have time to perfect his Edo Tensei. So you could have Orochimaru with all those amps and a an army of undead Shinobi.

The scariest thing in this whole scenario is that we have never seen Orochimaru fight at his best in the entire series. His soul transfer is like a boon and a curse at the same time. He never found a body that could handle his full power and was always fighting with a self inflicted handicap. A perfectly modified Indra re-incarnate body with eyes that hold the greatest potential since Madara, just imagine Orochimaru's vast intellect along with the raw power that Sasuke's body holds. He can now fully utilize his sage mode and add hashirama's cells to his body. He might not get the Rinnegan but he would be a scary opponent to face. Anyone other than Pain, Itachi or Obito wouldn't even stand a chance against Orochimaru.

@@nicmagtaan1132 That's debatable, since it may have to be the indra and ashura reincarnations of that current generation rather than just any indra and ashura reincarnations. So to awaken the rinnegan he may have had to get Naruto's cells, though I doubt that would be hard.

@Redi Beaux He wouldnt be able to achieve the EMS, so Amaterasu is out of the question. Meaning Blaze Style, Sasuke's possible most op ability would be inaccessible to Orochimaru. Also, Madara far outclasses Orochimaru in raw chakra power, and with the rinnegan he beats Orochimaru in just about every way since the Rinnegan makes Orochimaru's vast amount of ninjutsu practically useless. If they were to fight, Madara would body Orochimaru for a warmup lol.

That’s an interesting discussion
Guess they would leave very soon, if they go to Konoha at all. It would take a lot of Nagato to do so. He would only do it for the others. As soon as they realize he isn't comfortable, they would leave. I think, in general, they would not support one of the big villages that put their home into such a state.
Jiraiya would know that others would recognize the Rinnegan, too, and either kill Nagato or try to use him as a weapon. And Jiraiya would know this is against the interest of the three. So I see no chance this would happen or stay that way for a longer time.
I could see that but I would assume Jiraiya would choose to stay with them at first but maybe change his mind after seeing Nagato kill the mugger to protect Koanan and Yahiko not to mention the kids knew Jiraiya was from the leaf so if they we're willing to ask him for help in the first place why wouldn't they leave with him to further ther training after spending awhile with him and the leaf was pretty safe at the time so i could see at least one of the kids enjoying the leaf
Rather than Konoha, how about if he took the three to his toadland?
It's safe for them, pratically nobody knows the location and they dont resent the place for destroying their homes

if he did take them to Mount Myōboku they would either have to find the hidden path or sign the summoning scroll and i think itd be more likely hed take them to the leaf so he could speak with Hiruzen but Mount Myōboku might be a good choice if Jiraiya has to get them away from Donzo

it's just funny to think of what exactly Orochimaru could do since has so many bizarre, over the top powers.
A perfect susanoo clad flying eight headed serpent where each head has mangekyo sharingan and can breathe amaterasu. Just for style points, that monstorisity is flanked by Manda and Manda II.
The only problem I see is that a lot of the sharingan’s powers stem from a strong emotional response. Orochimaru is the most emotionless person

I don't think it's impossible that Orochimaru would have figured out a way around that or if nothing else maybe go on a rampage against the remainder of his relationships, lol, in the hopes it'll do the trick. Kabuto, Tsuande, Jiraiya, Anko, etc.
Bonus point if on top of each head, protected by the susanoo armor, stand the best selection of edo-tensei zombie he can make.
And if he's really to much of a psychopath for to unlock the MS by the natural method, he could (and probably would) use drugs, hormones or whatever he can come-up with to artificially induce the reaction needed.

@@MarMar-zj8tf He can't. To edo-tensei someone their soul has to be available (that was the point of having to go to the uzumaki shrine to free the Hokages souls). And since the souls of the bodies he take over are trapped in his own, even after he change again (we see them when Sasuke beat Orochimaru), he can't edo-tensei them.

It's my understanding that the only thing holding Orochimaru back from Sage Mode was his weakened body, since he could use natural energy. So I think the first thing he should do with a new body is finish his Sage Mode and that's a huge buff

I mean sasuke ran away and became rogue... there isn’t much to think about because at that point everyone in the village hated him and considered him dead. The story would just have been naruto and itachi killing orochimaru
I guess it's two possibilities:
1. Bloodlusted Itachi kills Orochimaru.
2. Orochimaru waits for Itachi to weaken to his sickness, then takes the MS (I don't think Orochimaru would awaken the MS in Sasuke's body.) Even this is arguable though because Orochimaru doesn't know Itachi has the Totsuka Blade and YM and how does he even evade that? Let alone the fact that Itachi could probably just beat him with genjutsu again.
I mean he has to survive if he gets sasuke's body cause itachi is going to pull up. Plus I think either he or naruto explained already did a video like that
I'm surprised that nobody is talking about how Sasuke's body should be able to handle the rigors of Sage mode, which had previously been the only obstacle stopping Orochimaru from accessing it as his bodies kept being weaker ninja than Kabuto. Orochimaru also has theoretically infinite nature chakra as long as whatshisname stays alive and keeps generating it for him.
Just think about how Danzo was able to use the eyes. Now imagine Orochimaru with them
Danzo got clapped by Sasuke 12 times in a row only bcus of Izanagi spam. Danzo couldn't do anything to Sasuke despite having all those eye's including Shisui's

Left eye can kamui external objects, right eye only kamuis your physical body, so if Kakashi had the right eye tbh he would've done better against Pain if he could kamui his own body instead of outside objects.

Orochimaru is so stacked when you think about it. Not only does he have crazy powers just off the cuff, but with the Forbidden Jutsu he at his disposal - he can take the body of anyone that catches his interest and always have access to it AND anybody he kills in battle he can reanimate in future battles. In a world like Naruto where half the battle is whether or not it's a good matchup, that's stupid crazy. A logical assumption, but even him with a regular three tomoe is already dangerous enough. We see madara destroy a quarter of an army with just taijutsu and a regular sharingan, he would be a huge threat at least on the strength level of someone such as itachi because of all the visual and genjutsu buffs

The thing with jiraiya and 4 tailed Naruto, is that 1, unlike orochimaru, he wasn’t prepared to fight and hurt Naruto, and 2 we don’t know if he attempted to just put the seal on Naruto and didn’t expect him to have lost that much control of himself, after all he was training him to be able to better control it so it’s safe to assume he wouldn’t be as on guard
Seriously, Jiraiya was almost certainly trying to subdue the four tails without actually hurting Naruto. We don’t know any of the circumstances to that fight to judge his capabilities.
All we really have is Jiraiya fighting Pain, and Pain saying it would have been a more difficult fight if Jiraiya knew the secret. Meanwhile, Orochimaru bitched out of the Akatsuki after one encounter with Itachi.
Its a fairly reasonable extrapolation to say a guy giving Pain a decent fight is stronger than someone who immediately gave up on fighting Itachi ever again after one loss.

i think one thing people often understimate about orochimaru is his intelligence and just straight up jutsu knowledge. theres like not a kekkai genkai or jutsu in the world he doesn't know about.

In a Sasuke body, both arms working, and a new sharingan… he would basically rule the world. Think about it, Orochimaru’s most deadly aspect isn’t his attack power, which is pretty high… it’s his intelligence and knowledge of crazy jutsu. Orochimaru would basically have all the previous Kage, his sage mode research, his tailed beast research, his research on genetic engineering and cloning… like you have to be discounting a lot to think he’s weak at all. Not only that, the Sharingan let’s you copy any jutsu and learn it… Orochimaru would become infinitely strong. Orochimaru had alot of research on Sage mode (just look at Boruto and how he created Mitsuki)… just that alone could point to Orochimaru eventually acquiring it himself. Altogether, if Orochimaru got Sasuke’s body, he would become immortal, and basically all knowing.

The only Uchiha's we've seen with sage mode, or some kind of sage mode, are Madara and Sasuke. Madara had to steal Hashirama Cells, and Sasuke didn't even have sage mode, just a rip off of it.
@@jacobday3826 There are mainly two requirements for utilizing sage energy completely: a sufficient amount of chakra to tame nature energy and a body that is capable of utilizing it. The Uchiha are not exactly your average human beings, being direct descendants of the Ostustukie( the arbiters of chakra) they will naturally have a higher potential of absorbing nature energy without ending up as snakes or stones. As has been proven in the manga and anime, the Uchiha naturally have capable bodies that can endure the taxing strain of the sharingan and all its variants, a thing most characters do not have( danzo needed harshirama's cells and Kakashi could not use the full potential of the sharingan without exhausting his body and chakra reserves). As is also noted, you do not need an insane mount of chakra to absorb nature nature, just enough to get you by; Kabuto is a great example of this, by taking in some of the dead cells of orochimaru's DNA he was able to learn Sage mode from the great snake sage due to the chakra boost he received from the cells. And Kabuto was by no means a chakra tank.
The Uchiha have more chakra than most of your average and non-average shinobi and have a body that is capable of enduring the strains that come with such power( and the sharingan); this gives them a higher chance of being able to learn sage mode.
Madara only took Harshirama's cells so that he could fulfill the required steps needed to awaken the Rinnegan( as he explained when he spoke about the contents of the Uchiha shrine); also you're forgetting that after he was resurrected with the Rinnegan, he incapicated Harshirama and absorbed his sage chakra to which he followed with a comment of how easy it was to use and stablize sage mode; Kabuto, who just needed some of orochimaru's chakra, was able to master sage mode....I don't Madara Uchiha is going to be having a problem with this.
The only reason Sasuke does not have Sage mode is not because the character is incapable of it( far, far from it), its because the author has chosen not to give it to him; We know he is capable of it because he has been shown in multiple occasions using sage/nature chakra; when he absorbed the nature energy from Juugo to create a sage enhanced Susanoo and when he used the six paths sage chakra from Hagoromo against Rikidou Senning Madara. Also, his body has affinity for senjustu chakra, Orochimaru explained this when Sasuke used Juugo's nature energy to power up his Susanoo. Sasuke with sage mode would upset the balance of power that Toriyama is going for.

I think you may have misinterpreted why many characters struggle with a transplanted Sharingan, it isn't because of a lack of chakra but instead because of a lack of compatibility, many characters attempt to make up for this lack of compatibility with large reserves of chakra. The Uzumaki have massive reserves of chakra but Nagato was still limited in his ability to use the Rinnegan, but he still did a much better job of handling it than Kakashi did with the MS which I would assume is less taxing given it is two stages before the Rinnegan.
I would assume given how Sasuke has been gathering nature energy through the curse mark for years his body may have become better at it naturally, but you're also correct about Orochimaru saying Sasuke was talented in that area.
In regards to Madara that absorbing Hashirama Cells, you kind of defeated yourself in that same paragraph... Kabuto mastered sage mode because he had Hashirama's cells. Madara probably found it very easy to gather nature energy and use sage mode for that same reason, not because he's an Uchiha.
Unless Sasuke's daughter uses sage mode we don't really have any solid evidence to suggest an Uchiha would have an easier time using sage mode than any other Shinobi, we just have assumptions.

Kakashi struggled because he had no such enhancements, Nagato did well BECAUSE he was an Uzumaki( who are related to the senju who are rated to the Uchiha). This only adds to my points, due to their bodies being capable of maintaining the power of the sharingan there is high chance that the Uchia can master sage mode much easier than those who are not directly related to the Ostustukie. The Uchiha naturally have the benefits that most characters would need Harshirama's cells for; giving them Harshirma cells would only add to what is already there.
Also...Madara took Harshirama's cells not to gain sage mode but to awaken the Rinnegan; my argument is not that Harshirama's cells are needed for nature energy (Kabuto and Sasuke have already disproved this point; Kabuto absorbed ONLY Orochimaru's chakra to learn sage( for no where is it shown or stated that he took Harshirama's cells into himself...he studied them extensively yes but he did not use them for himself...and Sasuke utilised nature energy from Juugo to create a Sage mode Susanoo). Therefore, you do not need to be a senju to learn sage mode nor do you need their DNA.
My argument is that the Uchiha have a higher potential than most to master sage mode; Madara (and we already know how strong this character is even back in his hay day) was capable of learning and mastering sage mode before he was brought back to life because when his stats are compared to characters who have mastered sage mode it becomes clear that he is capable of it. Sasuke followes the same scenario; he has more than enough chakra with a body that already has an affinity for nature energy, thus he is more than capable of learning Sage mode. The same goes with Obito and so on.
As I have said, you need to meet two requirements to learn sage mode; a body that can sustain nature energy and the sufficient amount of chakra needed to balance nature energy.
The Naruto franchise has revealed that the Uchiha clan is more than capable of learning sage mode.

Itachi needs to get to Orochimaru IMMEDIATELY in order to confirm a win, but that's not practical. It's a high dif battle in Itachi's favour, but with everything that Orochimaru has up his sleeve AND two Mangekyō Sharingan, he CAN beat Itachi.
I'd argue, because Orochimaru is planning on killing Itachi, he might even sacrifice an eye for Izanagi to clutch the win, which would be how he gets EMS (by trading in Itachi's eyes after the battle).

The oddest thing is since it's a natural Uchiha body orochimaru would have to learn how to use the sharingan. Just imagining this man closing his eyes and focusing for hours is hilarious.
Yeah, he can probably use any innate abilities but I bet he'd still need to practice to use them optimally. Also he would have a new chakra nature that came with the body so he might be stronger in fire & lightning but weaker in water or w/e. He's also learn a lot quicker than normal due to his encyclopedic knowledge of sharingan from his work on Shisui & Danzo.
He gains all of their abilities, because the person isn't technically "dead" just supressed when Orochimaru assumes control of their bodies. It makes sense that he is drawing from their "historical database" so to speak. Hell, even when Orochimaru changes bodies, some residual part of their psyche remain trapped in Orochimaru's. It's a bit creepy and probably an unintended by-product of jutsu. When Orchimaru failed to take over Sasuke's body, Orochimaru's psyche, or soul, was still trapped inside of Sasuke. That was why Sasuke could use Orochimaru's jutsu at the time.
