i was in yalova 50 yrs ago, a lot has changed. at that time it was more quaint and a lot of americans from the nearby base in karamusel would live and visit. we would also catch the ferry to istanbul there, it was a nice place, i miss it.
two of my very best friends whom i still see today lived on eski plaj sokak. there was also the ycc , yalova community center for the american military people and their families. i miss turkey and the nice people i met there.
I am Brazilian and I am delighted with Yalova. Beautiful, cozy, organized, quiet, clean place 👏🏻👏🏻 I'm here imagining it as if I were walking through the streets of this city, this image is very good, you set it closer. I loved it. I've been to Yalova many times while stationed with the American Air Force at Karamursel, but that was 50 years ago. So much has changed, especially after the major earthquake of 1999. I don't recognize the place. It looks so modern now -- no more horse-drawn wagons or street vendors.
