    Klairs Midnight Blue cream is one of my favourites. I have used up 2 jars of it and bough a bigger tube now. For my oily skin it's moisturizing enough. Sometimes my rosacea flares up out of nowhere and my faces becomes red, itchy and hot. This is when this works best. Within 30 mins my face comes back to normal which is just amazing. If you don't have much redness or irritation you will probably not see startling results.

      If you have true FUNGAL ACNE and not just acne you need to see a Dr or dermatologist to get an anti fungal cream no everyday skincare will clear up the fungal acne the clue is in the name fungal you need a proper anti fungal cream there's a trend going around where everyone is calling Normal acne fungal acne and it's a totally different thing so just find out whether you have true FUNGAL ACNE or just acne 👍

    I love the mizon eye cream! I can definitely see rapid a difference between this eye cream versus other k-beauty ones (and wester ones included). I also love their eye patches, those I do feel have a brightening effect on my undereye area even if momentary. I purchased the Cosrx cleanser and I do like it since my skin is somewhere between combination and oily. Great Video Kelly!

    Thank you so much for all the wealth of information. I love your product recommendations. Could you talk about skincare routine now that we are getting into fall and winter soon. How do we gently transition to better products to avoid compromising moisture barrier during the colder months?

    • @KellyDriscoll
      @KellyDriscoll  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I usually start transitioning a little later in the season, which is totally dependent on the weather, but it's good to start thinking about the products you'll want on hand for the cooler weather. I think working on transitioning your "middle layers" toners, essences, serums, first helps because those are less weather dependent than your moisturizers and sleeping packs.

    Thanks for the video. Interesting to see why you’ve lost touch with some “old friends.”
    I actually just restocked the Klairs Calming Cream when I found the tube on sale for around $20 because I found it very helpful last winter mixed into my moisturizer. I spend a lot of time outdoors and my skin can get a little roughed up.
    But you’re right that just about any cica product can do the same thing. As a matter of fact, last week the dogs and I tried to take a short cut in the woods that didn’t work out at all, and the Soon Jung cica balm really helped calm my legs down from all the tiny scratches from the pricker bushes!

    it has been affecting me emotionally and I am kind of insecure and long for the skin I used to have
    recently used 10% niacinamide daily for 1 month but it led to too many whiteheads...maybe I went overboard
    any advice???

    • @KellyDriscoll
      @KellyDriscoll  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hmmm, I've never had this issue so it's really hard to say. Niacinamide is a good choice I think since it can stimulate your skin's collagen and protein production which should aid healing textural or bumpy skin. Niacinamide 4% and higher is all that's needed so maybe try a 5% serum like purito could help slow the whiteheads. It also might be time to consider investing in visiting a dermatologist who can give you professional and personalized care, especially if it's effecting your quality of life.

    My old school product is definitely the Cosrx Good Morning Low pH Cleanser, and is still in daily use since it's perfect for my oily acne prone skin... the Purito one was not for me, but it's a good option if you have dryer skin. Your doggo is so cute💕 ... just doesn't seem have a great interest in K-beauty I reckon. xDD

    Hola!
    Thank you for sharing all thi info.
    I have used some of the products mentioned and hve the same feeling. I feel the same bout the amount of ingredients i what I use-- the less the better-- and I go for green/cruelty free. I have delt with acne most of my life; mostly hormonal acne now.
    I begi. With Pyung Yan Kuhl, lijed it but more for sensitive skin or beginners (my opinion) very light nd essence free. The more i hve lerned the more i look into fermented, plant based products, less chemicals or chemicls which Are good/useful for your skin. Insteadof a regar moisturizer I staryed using the Natural Republic Aloe-- which has multi uses and inexpensive!!

      I definitely do appreciate the more minimal products as well. Some products have such long IL it just seems unnecessary to put 67 ingredients into one product! 😱

    Hii! Have you tried peeling gels? Like gel face washes, but it clumps up and removes dead skin when u rub it... Cure aqua gel?

    • @KellyDriscoll
      @KellyDriscoll  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, I haven't used the Cure version but Secret Key Lemon Gel and a few others. They're nice but don't make a huge difference!

      Kelly Driscoll hi again :) I’ve been trying to find an exfoliator for a while now... and which do you think i should get?
      - neogen lemon/wine gauze pads
      - cosrx bha blackhead power liquid
      - a peeling gel
      I’ve never used a chemical exfoliator before,,, unless you count the cosrx aha/bha clarifying treatment toner :( I also want to find a night moisturizer,,, heheh I have oily skin as well

      No extracts, oils and waters are all different! The process to extract them from their source results in different concentrations and different compounds being released.

    Kelly do you still recommend the Face Shop Rice Cleansing oil? It's on my list to try, but I noticed it contains a lot of perfumes. I'm having trouble finding a new cleansing oil without icky ingredients. What are your thoughts on perfumes or essential oils in a wash off products? Thanks for another great video!

    • @KellyDriscoll
      @KellyDriscoll  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey! I do still really like it and it's never caused me issues but I know fragrance isn't great for all! I've been looking for fully fragrance free oil cleansers and it's hard but I think I've found one in the hada labo oil cleanser, it will be delivered soon so hopefully it performs well!

      Haha sure it was very simple then but my skin has become miles better over the years! My skin is much more healthy, even toned, breaks out less and less, I no longer have clogged pored or redness and I can go foundation free or very minimal makeup these days.
