For me it's Bill Belichick.... I think Belickick will have his assistant coaches ready and go in starting on overdrive. Belichick has something to prove in winning a SB without Brady and Joe Burrow itching for the Lombardi Trophy that one day helps him into the HoF. As a long time Bengals fan I see this timing of a coaching change if we hire Belichick as about the same as when the Bengals hired Forrest Gregg. Two very tough coaches and our players need toughened up as they've become very soft but very respected coaches. We have many young players even going into the final year of their contract that simply haven't been coached up but they will move on to another team and succeed because good teams use their roster where everyone feels they are part of the team. I'm trying to figure out why Mike Vrabel is a hyped up name. I actually worry about that hire if it happens. If Bill Belichick is not the guy then I would really like Brian Flores the defense coordinator of Vikings and former Dolphins head coach. Both Belichick and Flores known to have their team as tough and hitters which is needed in the AFC North Division.

The number one factor is Bengals have lost more talent than they have added every single year since Superbowl and that's cheap ownership and bad personnel decisions by Management.
Bill Bellicheck or Mike Vrabel Reasons why Zack should be gone 1) slow start 4 years in a row…..no excuses anymore 2) poor play calling. After an embarrassing loss 6. Its been 6 years. 4 years with Burrow. Its time for something new. At a certain point its clear there is a hump that Zach cannot get us over. And we have gotten worse every year since then. SB to AFC now to out of the playoffs
Zac Taylor still has two years left, so not likely to go this year. Maybe if he had one year left. Plus this ownership only wants a 'yes' man for the job so likely veteran candidates would pass over this job. Except for Marvin they always hired 1st time coach or home grown guys. I guess Marvin was 1st time head coach but serious DC candidate. So I don't think Belichick or Vrabel would come here for example.
Sadly, the Bengals have a bad habit of hiring coaches "on the cheap." Also, management is not going to allow a head coach to come in there and run the organization. This leaves out Bill Belichick. This will also severely limit what kind of a coach they will be able to get. Ben Johnson will get his millions somewhere else. So will Mike Vrabel, even though Mike Brown favors Ohio State alums. Even Robert Saleh will find a big job elsewhere. I would love to see a Joe Brady reunite with Joe, but even he will pull bucks bigger than what Mike Brown will be willing to part with. It may not be an optimal situation, but I get the idea that they will ride the storm with Zack one more year. Understand, the Bengals are still being run like a 1950s NFL team and that will not change for the foreseeable future.
Hold your horses. The Bengals are not run and operated based on what many feel is the norm. So any thoughts on moving on from Zac Taylor who, from what I understand, still has two more seasons on his contract after this one is very premature. Anything related to an outright firing is very premature now. The Bengals brass has proven they do not care what nay sayers, fans, colleagues, reporters at ESPN or anywhere else think. They exist and will continue to do so under clouds of criticism. Just another day at the office for them. A desirable position? Well, for the moment, a QB many head coaches, including the best and most respected, would no doubt love to work with. Unfortunately, most everything else is shaky. Also add to the fact the ownership is not committed to the city or fanbase, and as a coach you will get your second or third choices, if any at all, in player personnel, certainly not your first. As a coach you do not negotiate player contracts. Therefore, what you want and what this ownership sticks you with is very often vastly different. The ownership may high five each other over a bargain but that does not mean that will relate to the wins and losses. Just someone to fill what they see as a void. Over the years this hasn't translated well for the success of the team. Criticism often heavy at times does not bother them. What they likely told Zac Taylor has resulted in a very passive and odd coach and player or even fan interaction or relationship. Losing does not mean job is in jeopardy. It more less means they will deal with it and move on. Is the ownership the problem? It is the one constant thing that has not changed themselves or most anything else for that matter. Do they see themselves as a problem? Most human beings have difficulty identifying themselves as part of the problem. Are you functioning profitably? If the answer is yes, then it may just boil down to putting a team with coaches, whomever, on the field and not sweating the success from a win-loss perspective. They know what to say when to say it, how to say it, and move on. New influx of fans can only deal with the present not the history of the 90s, lack of playoff success, or if the team is once again in another losing funk. Just temporary while the bank account always prospers.
I pray we fire this entire coaching staff. Surviving off one lucky offseason where all the free agents hit and we drafted Chase. We need a tough coach like Belichick or Flores to straighten out the trenches and physicality!
This year is not excusable. Even when they were winning, ZT acts like a middle school coach with his excessive game balls and unwillingness to give up play calls to focus on game management. The act is old.
The Bengals won't pay what a top coach would cost. They want a bargain basement candidate who is willing to accept the position as an NFL head coach for four or five million. Not the ten or fifteen million plus a quality coach would demand.
Bengals front office have always been bargain bin shoppers. They wont hire an experienced head coach who wants the GM title as well. Only first timers looking to get a head coaching shot need apply.
Since when are NFL coaches suppose to be teaching tackling techniques? The NFL isn't a Pop Warner league. That's where six and seven year old LEARN to tackle.
Taylor is the head coach but all defensive management is 100% Lue Anarumo, additionally, Taylor does not manage the roster, that is Duke Tobin, Taylor builds the offense, which is again one of the top offenses in the NFL. I say we keep Zack, and get rid of lue and Duke
Mike Vrabel or bill the goat bellichick either way I think we should also keep Lou are D coordinator he is great coach we just didn’t help with talent on that side of ball
If you pay your QB $50M/yr & the team is terrible then the Coach gets axed. His play calls are predictable & terrible. If you don’t fire him, you won’t re-sign Higgins & Ja’mar, then Burrow will demand a trade. Stadium lease is up & the team could leave town. Hire Belichek w/ Josh McDaniel as OC as Burrow is similar style like Brady
Belichick, Vrabel, or Flores. We need a culture guy. Zac Taylor does not hold these players or coaches accountable. Gotta get a different coaching staff or Joe and Jamarr will be wasted.
t should NOT be Zac. Vrabel seems like a perfect fit as HC, bring in Joe Brady as offensive coordinator, and if available, Robert Saleh as Def coordinator. With this offense, even a 15th ranked Deds unit would make them a SB contender!!
Zac has another year on his contract. So look for him to stay. But Brian Flores should be hired right away in January. A defensive minded coach who could turn things around.Burrow is not happy with front office.Revamp both lines and get new Defensive backfield.
Stop with we need a offensive coach! Our team needs a strong defensive coach! We can already score 30 to 40 a game, lets try to hold the other teams from scoring more then 20
they can keep zac just take away his play calling ...get rid of pollack, get rid of duke, get rid of front office, lou can stay not his fault front office messed up in drafts and free agency, he only has a few good players to work with
Until ownership changes, this will always be managed as the WISH or TEMU version of an NFL team. Mike Brown winning percentage as an owner = 41.8%. Proven loser.
So Zach Taylor isn't the issue to be honest I think it is multiple issues no.1 the Bengals defense has failed badly and it has to do with coaches in between as well as head coach o coordinator and d coordinator it's a jumble and we gotta resolve it
The players under performed in general! He didn't miss key Fgs, he didn't miss tackles or key catches. The refs didn't help the cause either. And we had alot of injuries to key players.
Zac taylor is incapable of keeping his house in order. He is failing as a head coach. He never has his teams prepared, and is not consistent. He doesn't command his team like a Mike Tomlin, or a Dan Campbell. He is a huge part of the issue. Him, Lou, and the FO.
Hard to take any of this speculation about Zac Taylor's job being in jeopardy seriously. Anyone with even a cursory knowledge of how this organization operates knows it's not going to happen after this dumpster fire of a season. Moron Lewis coached the Bengals for 15 years and there were numerous junctures (e.g. after the playoff loss to Steelers) when he should have been shown the door. 15 years with zero playoff wins. Think about that. The Bengals braintrust moves at a glacial pace. As a fan, I pin my hopes on scaling our league low total of 6 scouts up to a double digit number and having Joe Burrow get vocal with the powers that be about substantive ways to make the team around him better. Of course, I realize how unlikely this is to actually happen, but can we please stop with the nonsense about Zac being on the hot seat?
He has a losing record over almost 100 games. He had a chance. Let's move on. I think it'll be mutual bc Mrs Taylor fed up as well.. family pressure and team pressure gets him outta here.
You need a defensive minded Head Coach in Cincinnati. Robert Saleh is the perfect guy for this team. Saleh went to the Jets and got one year to find his franchise QB. Joe Burrow is a former SB QB. Saleh can really turn this defense around. Let the offense run through Joe. Saleh takes care of solidifying the defense, and Burrow along with a new HC take care of the offense.
Yes the Bengals need to move on from Zac. Will they.? No
Vrabel is tough as hell too . He could straighten out some of the primos on this team .
He would have benched Pratt.

I would do backflips if the Bengals hired Vrabel. I just don’t think the Bengals pull the plug on Taylor.
Ben Johnson I feel would be a great fit
Would love to see Joe Brady at OC
YES!
Bengals front office have always been bargain bin shoppers. They wont hire an experienced head coach who wants the GM title as well. Only first timers looking to get a head coaching shot need apply.
As long as Mike Brown is alive and has control
Zach Taylor will remain the coach look how long it took him the fireball Lewis
Since when are NFL coaches suppose to be teaching tackling techniques? The NFL isn't a Pop Warner league. That's where six and seven year old LEARN to tackle.
I would give Zac 1 more year, cut Lou! then cut Pratt!!! 🤷♂️
No guys! This year is an ownership/GM issue
Mike Vrabel or bill the goat bellichick either way I think we should also keep Lou are D coordinator he is great coach we just didn’t help with talent on that side of ball
Rex Ryan?
Bill Belichick hands down. It's been real Zac
VRABEL. Ben Johnson as my 2nd.
I want Brian Flores
If you pay your QB $50M/yr & the team is terrible then the Coach gets axed. His play calls are predictable & terrible. If you don’t fire him, you won’t re-sign Higgins & Ja’mar, then Burrow will demand a trade. Stadium lease is up & the team could leave town. Hire Belichek w/ Josh McDaniel as OC as Burrow is similar style like Brady
My god, man. Please stop this nonsense. Brown will NOT give up power, McDaniels is toxic, and Burrow wont deal with that clown.
Belichick, Vrabel, or Flores. We need a culture guy. Zac Taylor does not hold these players or coaches accountable. Gotta get a different coaching staff or Joe and Jamarr will be wasted.
I don’t think Taylor is going anywhere until the end of his contract the Bengals don’t do that.
t should NOT be Zac.
A defensive minded coach who could turn things around.Burrow is not happy with front office.Revamp both lines and get new Defensive backfield.
i think they will go with the offensive coordinatior he stayed there and turned down other jobs
It should be Bill Bilichek or Mike Vrabel. Zac has got to go!
Vrable? Bring a toughness to the team. Bill would be my second choice.
Rex Ryan?
A-list coaching candidates won’t come to Cincinnati. There is no clear chain of authority and no GM. You also have an owner that hates free agency.
No because he has been good other than this 12 game stretch.
zero chance they release zach before his contract it up
Zak Must Goooo...
I think vrabel would be great for the Bengals
Stop with we need a offensive coach! Our team needs a strong defensive coach!
We can already score 30 to 40 a game, lets try to hold the other teams from scoring more then 20
A head coach won’t help this sorry defense..WHO Dey
Never happen Mike Brown will not fire a head coach under contract.
Mike Brown will NOT fire Zac . Stop it
Zac is like Marvin 2.0
The common denominator there is the front office.
Zac needs to go. Hes never had the team ready to go since hes been the head coach.
It will be the hottest job out there
Why?
Woh day
Belicheck is gone, he is headed to North Carolina tarheels. Watch the real news.
they can keep zac just take away his play calling ...get rid of pollack, get rid of duke, get rid of front office, lou can stay not his fault front office messed up in drafts and free agency, he only has a few good players to work with
Gruden is the only hope
Mike Vrabel next head coach
keep zac. complete defense makeover
Until ownership changes, this will always be managed as the WISH or TEMU version of an NFL team.
Mike Brown winning percentage as an owner = 41.8%. Proven loser.
If Zack cant cut it bill belichick
What has Mike bravell done nothing
Vrabel should be the guy
Fire Taylor YESTERDAY
Ryan day
FIRE ZAC TAYLOR!!!!
Zac isn't the problem and he's not going anywhere. This is the dumbest take I've heard all season
Taylor isn’t the problem? 😂😂. Tell us your clueless without saying it
Duke Tobin is the problem
No Vrabel no belichik
He has a losing record over almost 100 games. He had a chance. Let's move on. I think it'll be mutual bc Mrs Taylor fed up as well.. family pressure and team pressure gets him outta here.
Belichick or vrabel
Bill Belichick.
