"I need to clean my house. [...] I don't feel great, but I will in about 10 hours."
    - This perspective might be what I needed to change my entire day-to-day life

Close friends and family can really help IMO! Though they can't fix the problem, only you can do that I agree.

Thanks for this, Zy. I had an off-game last night as Widowmaker in Overwatch, and the game chat was just talking about how crap I was the whole time.
I already knew I played bad that one game, but it just happened to be the game that had toxic folks in it.
This helps a lot. Thanks dude.

I have a lot of friends that are part of a Rich Community/Club. Over the years I got to know their parents, and by that I got to get close to some of the really rich CEO-dads that you talk about in the newspapers. The ones that wear suits every day and are in the newspapers and interviews. One thing I noticed after getting a little older and experienced enough to reflect over what they do as a family: is that they barely do anything. They have ONE vacation each year. Their dad barely has time to have breakfast with them. They eat, then leave the house. For him to come home at almost 10pm. He always works. I asked him if he was happy with that, and he replied it is what I love, I love to work. So yeah, he loves that, but he SACRIFICED A LOT. Lesson to learn; A lot of rich people, succesful people on the surface are happy and glorious, but they sacrifice a lot every single day.
Hope this was useful to read.

I get what you mean. I was stuck doing a part time job and basically nothing with my life for months. I didn't go out and I yearned for the attention of friends I had met online. It was only when I was really upset with myself and basically depressed with thinking I was going to be stuck at that job forever as everyone else had left, that I began to skip work and get into trouble there.
But after all that and still not getting fired, I picked myself up and got job hunting. Regardless if I was gone the next day, I wanted to do something I enjoy.
Now I'm working in IT, I am surrounded by amazing people every day and even though I am in an office and want to travel and do more, I also know it's hard in my current position but I hope I can keep going forward to that goal.
I also am just amazed at the co-workers I have. From my boss who is one of my best friends and someone who has let me know a few things I'm pretty sure no one else besides 2 people know, and that everyone is really supportive when you need help, as well as pushing me to do stuff on my own as well.
Damm..I am lucky, but I didn't get this by sitting around. I applied for a job and met my boss who at the time I didn't even realise was him. And the next day he emailed me asking if I was still interested, even when I was not getting the original thing I had applied for the day before.

I have a similar idea for a quite a long time, but never could decide if it was good or bad.
I used to think criticisms should be taken positively, or to be specific, it shouldn't be taken negatively. At first, that idea helped me. But the bad feeling that I get is to make me motivated to fix my problems. And by not feeling bad, I became lazy and unmotivated. I lost momentum in my life. Thanks for clarifying! All your videos help me to understand my faults in my theories. So please keep it up!

Zy, I thank you for sharing so much useful and genuine content. I have spent the past 3 years of my life trying to push through what I would assume to be anxiety and depression, as it runs through the family and I have not reached out. I feel as though this video could help me finally push through even more. Thank you so much

I find negative emotion to be separated between anger and sadness. Anger can motivate, sadness seems to demotivate

I honeslty agree with you, as I turn older I sometimes can not find meaning or happiness in things. And about a year ago I did nothing about it and I felt like I never got any where. But know that I have realized that maybe I have no meaning in the universe. That enabled me to find meaning in my love life, my family, and my hobbies and now I feel better and grown as a person.

"The only person who can really help you is you" took me many years to figure that out. I used to stay in broken relationships thinking I could help the other person. It wasn't till I started to go to therapy, and went through a very traumatic event where my ex had a violent PTSD flashback, that I finally woke up and realized that quote. I now live my life by that statement and it's been life changing.

around 10:00 - it's funny how in english the word "happiness" can be viewed as a derivative of "happening" - so it's might very well be true that happiness is a process of achieving something new. In russian the word "happiness" actually translates into "счастье" and can be viewed as a derivative from "соучастие" (cooperation), meaning that in russian language one is meant to get happiness by cooperating in others acts, whichs to some extend is also a process of achieving
I just wanna add that at some point in life i've noticed after myself how (unintentionally?) i taught myself to always stay curious, to always try to learn something new, to get some huge interest in something i haven't tried, get big inspiration. People was always seeing me as a crazy person for this, always telling me that it's no good to go about life this way, that i'm a very strange person and it's not very interesting to communicate with me, that i was falling for some particullar stuff so much the whole world whould stop existing for me at that time. I was having huge problems in school cuz of this. To a point i had 0 friends. With time i learnt to ignore all this. I keep staying curios all the time, as if im still 10 years old. This helps me get past depressions (mby not even get into them at all), bear with problems, view hard life situations as just another challenge that i can tackle with all my curiosity and very high rate of learning new stuff

I think you can get to that, when you escape the dualism of life, you realize that the self implies the other, the sad implies happiness as error implies learning.

I think repetition gets boring and that starts to demotivated me so I always have a hard time starting habits and keeping habits so all of this stuff is super hard for me.

    Hello Zy,
first things first: I didn't watch your video...yet.
I know, I'll watch it and and I know, that it will do something good to me.
You have a very nice way to see and articulate things. Your thoughts are precious to me, even those, I had them myself before. You always find an angle, I didn't expect to exist.
Sometimes it is difficult to understand other persons thoughts, if they don't resonate emotionally... but you articulate yours so clearly... there is always that "heureka-moment!!"
I thought you might be interested to know, why someone does NOT watch your video.
To put it simple: It's hard content.
The better you make your video, the harder it will be to digest, because it does something. It's not compatible to binge-watching.
I sometimes set a video of yours aside for month till I watch it.
Thanks for sharing so much of yourself!
