It's really cool how she always uses leverage and momentum to her advantage. You'd still need to be ridculously strong to wield a weapon that's probably about as heavy as yourself, but but the animators also made sure she always compensates for that with good technique.
I tend to dislike Final Fantasy animations since they're so over-the-top exaggerated that it doesn't feel real. I prefer these types of animations that are meant to look realistic which adds a lot more "umph" and power into the look of her swings. It makes these characters feel real even though she's swinging what is essentially a great axe.
If Hoyo ever does a goofy side-event where Calydons start a construction company (i.e. sweatshop) to rival Belobog for one reason or another, I want Piper to be the Piglet Forewoman

Sometimes I would finish the battles at this pose 1:00 which is the final hit and the camera will zoom in more and more and I'm like WOAH WOAH CHILL! Lol
Her switch and EX attacks are top tier animations. I love that she has to kick her hammer to give it momentum. Also love the added detail of her using her back to support the hammer on her switch attack. Funny how it always ends with her being lifted by the hammer's stop in momentum.

Is there a reason you have different names than the EN version? Your “Assist Attack” is technically a “Quick Assist” and the games uses the former term as a catch-all for any type of damage-dealing assist-scaling attack (I can’t recall off the top of my head which effects state this); As for your “Switch Attack”, it is technically a “Chain Attack” even though, TIL, “SWITCH” in all caps pops into the background. There is technically no unit that automatically performs an attack on manual switch-in/out (not yet at least), so it’s possible to get confused as a new player, which in-of-itself, is no big deal, one could just read for clarity, but to me the principle (and being a technicality nazi lol) is important imo.
Probably just didn't bother to match the exact terminology of the game. It's a bit unprofessional, but not a big deal if you still know what each attack correlates to in the game even with the incorrect terms used.
How is this important? And what's the point? I mean if you use the same terminology from existing games you'll just called Copy-pasting, if you use different term you'll also called copy-pasting so why even bother? As long as it serves it's purpose NOBODY asking about Mechanics name translations.

Ignored her at first, because I thought her attacks would be slow. Then I used her for a few battles, and now she is my main DPS.
Remember, some peak animation team is responsible for putting Piper in them poses. Ain't none of this an accident
