I think one of the biggest issues is when Kathleen and alot of the other people at Lucas film try to do things through the star wars ip with the mindset of things like “the force is female” or trying to press social justice issues like lgbt issues through their writing and making assumptions of fans being every “ist” in the book….although in their minds they might be thinking what they are doing is noble the most important thing when using an IP that is beloved and multigenerational is to honor the creator, canon and fans of that universes IP by writing scripts that are in line with the Lore and writing good stories…. Good story writing should be the priority and that involves honoring the canon and fans … good story writing can still involve complex issues that speak of justice and heros journey but it doesnt go the other way around where the social justice issue comes first because you end up making decisions that take away from the quality and context of that universe ip just to fit your cause vs creating an awesome story first.

Production quality at Lucafilm is insanely low. The issue is right at the top.
That could’ve been one of the best stories told, “a jedi padawon gets turned to the dark side and kills their master”. But geez the way they told that was so disappointing, boring and flip flop of characters.

I honestly think that a lot of what Leslye Headland was trying to do in the show is just undercooked, and I think that this story could be good if some aspects of it were a little more fleshed out. I won't be mad if it gets another season AND they learn from the first season. Mostly meh, but I still watched it.
I honestly think the writers strike may have played a part in how poorly executed the show is.

Scrap Armor Wars. No one cares about Rhodey in the grand scheme of things. And Secret invasion already ruined what little anyone cared and made him even worse. Forget the character and move on.

I thought the lightsaber fight was coo. But everything else was kind of lame. They should of stayed true to the characters of Plaegus and Yoda. I rate this episode a 3.5/10. And rate the season a 4.2/10

There is definitely some value in the acolyte BECAUSE, I stopped watching after the piss that was episode 3 but I am intrigued and entertained whenever I watch Josh or Theory talk about it and listen to everyone shit on it. It provided fun for me. So thanks acolyte

Everyone wanted a different, darker version of Star Wars, but no one accepts a different, darker version of Star Wars.
The last sequel trilogy was worst than the Acolyte in my opinion. The Acolyte has better fight choreography than the last movie trilogy, Kenobi and Ashoka.
Andor was boring and a story we didnt need told. Acolyte was a show to shoehorn a bunch of stuff into the exsising canon for these new "creatives" to make a name for themselves they don't respect the fans or the source materials. They need to get a clue and start directly adapting the beloved legends material asap with less of their own interjected ideas and characters. Disappointed!!!😅
The cameos were perfect and the Plagueis book was actually pretty cringe. Palpatine wasn’t even alive yet in this time.
