    Thanks for the review. Surprisingly iPhone7 did a good job of picking up the sound.
    The sound was deep and crisp in the original k12/k15 was much better.
    Even if QSC wanted to make an entry model, for a less cost, I don't know why they would bring down the quality. Also the number 2000W appears fake when K15 1000W has much better wall shaking far reach.
    Being a QSC fan, it was little disappointing.

      Yeah qsc is better but this is an ok speaker for its price good video but if u can afford, qsc or rcf is better

    I think the lows on the original K12 sound better when in the "deep" mode and the K2s are just a bit crispier. The K2 speakers are definitely a bit louder but we will confirm that this weekend. I think if you already own a set of K12s there isn't a real need to upgrade but that my opinion only. I suggest you go to your local dealer and have a listen, cheers!

      mynefield I didn't take both pair just the K12.2 pair, they are louder than the original. I used them with a pair of KW181 subs and they sounded great. I would rather use the original K12s as a stand alone speaker over the new ones.

    • @spillwill72
      @spillwill72 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      They are way louder but thats not what you want focus on. The focus should be on the way they sound at low and high levels. The original K series had quite a bit of distortion at 65%. Its never good to exceed 75% volume on any device. The quality difference is far better. Like hit squad said, going to guitar center and hearing for yourself is better than any review online. Good luck

      Hi! Did you test them at high volume? Is it true that K12 distors more then K12.2? Also did you try to compare them at high volume? since the -10 db for one is not the same for the other one. Thanks!

    • @spillwill72
      @spillwill72 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Silviu, You will have a bit more headroom before clipping on the K2. I think the reason so many people feel like the bass is more on the first series has a lot to do with the cabinet design and positioning of the air ports. I've ran them to their max volume up until the clip light blinked. The sound never changes until you get right there at it. I did notice a difference in the mic gains though. When I turned the volume up to say 3 o'clock, I could no longer stand in from the speaker at about 8 feet anymore, which I did all the time with old series. That wasn't something I liked at all. Going to have to figure that out considering as a DJ we have to stand in front of our equipment all the time. I even put my speakers all the way up on the stands to reduce the issue of feedback.

    • @silviutanase4754
      @silviutanase4754 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, Thanks for your reply. Are you saying that when you are singing in front of the speakers, at loud volume, the feedback kills your ears? Or is it something related with the mic input directly on speaker(that mic volume button)? Because I want to buy 2 pairs of these and I will use them in general for a live band. Which you recommend for a live band? If you had the change to compare them at loud volume, can you tell me if the difference between k12 and k12.2 regarding distortion at more then 65%, makes you buy the k12.2 instead of K12? In in general speaker manufacturers, after the first serie release, they want to cut costs and increase profits. As an example, think about Mackie SRM 450 vs 450v2 or v3 - which are crap. I'm afraid that QSC doing the same. What do you think?

    Good video. Planning to go with the Qsc K10.2 instead and run them with my kw181 sub. Going with the 10's , I compared them to the 12's at the music store and I find the 10's sound even better. Vocal clarity was cleaner, more portable, lighter and the bass was more punchy. 12's went lower but only by a small margin. Besides my comparison, K12.2 still a nice cab though. Can't go wrong with this.

    I love the k12 precisely because of the quality bass sound it gives us when the deep mode is activated. I would like to know if there is any preset on the k12.2 that mimics the deep of the k12. I really miss it serious.

    I have the new K's. I like them but from this video it just sounds like the new K's in comparison to the old are thiner in the midrange area. What setting/mode did you have the new K's on? I know the live or music settings cut out the midrange apparently.

      I went to the store to have a listen to k12.2 and asked the guy to put it on dance. The lows on the k12 sound much deeper, better for my taste.

      The 1850 watts to the sub is far more clear than before. It thumps like the Ksub.

    • @spillwill72
      @spillwill72 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      No offense Subi, but if you thought the original K12 hit harder, you were fooling yourself my friend. 500 or 1850, think about it. Even in default mode it thumps deeper and clearer. Maybe one more demo trip and you'll hear it.

      Never, and I have ran mine in the rain .. momentarily of course. Qsc is the REAL deal. Seriously people hate on these because so many people love them. Don't listen to the hate. These things have gone all day in the 120 degree heat in AZ.
      12pm to 7pm to be exact , took an hour break and went on till midnight. The next evening I rocked a wedding and zero issues.

    probably should use a sing with more instruments and sounds to compare.
