To be fair Vader gets oversold when talking about OT villains. If Tarkin had been in all of them he would have been a much more impactful character overall. People forget that at the end of the day Vader was working under Tarkin, not the other way around. Goddamn but Peter Cushing completely crushed that role - all on his own too, no separate suit actor and voice actor needed.
At least they used digital methods to shrink Namor's sea cucumber. The 1960's Robin, Burt Ward, was sent to a doctor to be prescribed pills to shrink him so that his Bat Boy Bulge was not as prominent in episodes.

Never really understood the whole MCU status quo argument. The well-intentioned extremist trope for villains has been a classic staple of most fictional media. The heroes typically find themselves agreeing with the villain’s points. They just can’t abide by the villain’s murderous and destructive methods used to implement change. And it’s not like any anti-superhero shows have provided a suitable counterproposal, so to speak: The Boys Season 3 seemed to think that using extreme measures to take out Homelander, a very apocalyptic threat, was wrong, and that it would be best to just combat him on social media, even though he explicitly said that his positive public image is the only thing keeping him from roasting the planet alive.
They're making the point that normally the "villains" have great points but the Avengers/marvel heroes rush blindly go in to quell any type of rebellion and Disney's waynof justifying the "heroes" is by the antagonist doing something randomly terrible to justify stopping them..its like theyre trying to subconsciously make the point that fighting back against large scale oppression is wrong...this film isnt the perfect example of that but they did make him randomly kill the mom SPECIFICALLY so hed be unsympathetic and they did they exactlyl same thing in Falcon and the Winter Soldiers when the flag smashers were actually in the right.. Disney had them randomly kill a likable character...but I mean they need a movie to happen and an excuse for them ro fight but itd be nice when they brought up things like colonialism it stayed more Nuianced

Killmonger brought up very valid points, but all the scars on his body indicate that he’s killed a shitton of people, and the movie indicated that his goals were less about helping oppressed people and more about taking revenge on those who’d wronged him. Gorr from Love and Thunder was very right about the Gods’ tyranny, but he was clearly acting more out of personal vengeance than good intentions and his go-to move was genocide. Vulture brought up good points about how the wealthy don’t care about the lower classes, but at the end of the day, he was still a dangerous criminal selling high-tech weapons to other criminals with no regard for the consequences. As for the Flagsmashers, I always thought they were bottom-tier MCU villains, perhaps because some of the storylines were cut but mainly because they came off as Killmonger knock-offs. They had no real plans to achieve their large goal of a borderless world, and my sympathy for them flew out the window when the leader bombed the building and the other members were too cowardly to speak up or walk away. Frankly, I think the show gave them more sympathy than they deserved; I felt more bad for John Walker than I did for them. I wish Sam, maybe after the leader outright threatened his family, gave a harsh yet brutally accurate speech to them about where their paths would lead, like Frank Castle did to the villain of Season 1 Episode 10 of The Punisher. Anyway, those are just my two cents. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions regarding the MCU.
