Welcome to part 5 of 6 of this trip report series.
After a successful weekend of flying in the UK and Scotland it was time to fly home again. We will take KLM Cityhopper home again onboard the Embrear 175 from Norwich to Amsterdam. Fun fact: the Norwich-Amsterdam route is one of the most expensive within the KLM network.

Hi there - NWI-AMS is a costly route but it's not the most expensive on KL's network. Just see what KL charges one-way for BRU-AMS !
The days I checked it was higher, however would not be surprised if BRU-AMS would be even higher some days :)
Just wanted to add that you made no mention of NWI's 'development fee'. Being faced with paying a further fee on departure may not sit well with users of this route.
Marc mentioned it in the subtitle at 3:08
Aaah yes... that one.... how could I forget! the only airport that still does that... Is this still in place?
@@MSS658 it was last time I flew from there. NQY used to have the fee as well, but they might have dropped it for now.
@@TravelSignal Yes NWI certainly has that £10 development fee (which is payable *in addition* to all the other taxes/fees/charges).
@@MSS658 I believe NWI is the only airport to retain that fee. MME is about to scrap its own development fee. Ryanair is operating several flights from MME over the coming months (subject to change of course in these uncertain times) and in the past Ryanair had said it would not serve any airport which levied such a fee. NQY used to have a development fee some years ago and Ryanair pulled its flights (from NQY). Then Tim Jeans (a former executive of Ryanair in the UK) was appointed manager at NQY and he then scrapped this unpopular fee and then Ryanair returned to NQY.
