Laplus breaking her character and being genuinely adorable is one of her best traits.

1:30 this is what I want to hear from their friends. For me, I don't like when people write "You did your best!" They definitely tried to, but couldn't.
Truth is, they did pooly this time. But as Suisei says, they will learn from it and try harder next time.
It's a very complicated sentiment and I can understand your thoughts. As long as people make the effort, they should be applauded; the important thing is to always keep trying and improving. The fact is, no matter how hard you try, there will often be someone who is simply better, or things happen and you simply don't perform up to your potential. But learning and growing is the most important thing I think.

Sometimes the best you can do is just not good enough, doesn't mean you still didn't do your best. It just mean you can work to improve and your best will be better next time.
Quite sad since the members are promising just like last vsai with startend, Where the same thing happened(Didn't really get to play on game day)
Towa has had very high placement in tournaments with (way)higher skill level average, CR cup. One of them with one of her teammates this time, with the third this time being beni who is quite respectable and is immortal in valo. Last year with startend was super hype on the scrims mowing through teams but on game day it just turned out different. So it's more complicated than she/team didn't do good enough and need more practice.
The beauty of Vsaikyo, even though I wanted to see lesser known livers again, I still watched most of the custom practices and the final.
Its fun to root for everyone and a little more for my bias, The only bad thing is someone has to be last and on the final day, anything can really happen. Teams that are expected to be strong can sometimes get unlucky or make mistakes, Happened to StartEnd and a lot of great teams like AQF, TSB, Jewelbox etc. When you wish they could have challenged for 1st place.

I suck eggs in any competitive gaming environment so I *WISH* I could tell you how I react to wins. Of course we're all very very happy for her. I'm just glad she felt THAT happy. 💜
1:47 I really hope so, Towa mentioned in her last Minecraft stream that she lost a lot of motivation on playing Apex after that poor performance. No idea why no one has clipped it yet.

Lmao Hal was starting to question these 3 Points already after the first two days of the prep month. That team was able to win, but mental broke and yeah shit happens. Next time :)

yeah. pressure is really massive when it actually happen compared to scrim. not to mention this is their first tourney too, so those pressure really added up
@@user-ce9fm4bs1i Yep exactly, scrims and the real deal are a huge difference. I still remember as Towa broke down crying because she could not handle the pressure anymore. Poor TMT, but she had Akutan and Sui-chan to cheer her up same as her chat.
As Selen stepped away and as she came back her model pretty much showed what was going on. She was obviously crying the voice crack also gave it away. Chat also noticed this and started to try and cheer her up. Hell Noct pretty much said fuck it just try to have fun as they all noticed she broke.
It was all a combination of pressure, mental, and haveing bad luck.
Shit happens, next time things will be different for sure.

@@VindyCh. just to be clear Towa didn’t cry this time even though her team was last. I would say she was pretty chill about it. She even enjoyed watching the top team fighting for final results.
It'd be fun to see Laplus' character slowly evolve into a Kusogaki who hides her more wholesome side
One could argue that was always the entire point of her character in the first place, or at least it has been since she returned from her mental health hiatus on February 2023. Many of her fans started to symphatize with her after the whole anti situation happened and there aren't as many trolls on her chat nowadays, especially after shifting her streaming focus to Twitch.
It helps that Laplus is genuinely a friendly and kind person besides her tsunogaki moments, and that's A LOT more apparent nowadays. My best wishes are with her and I still watch her streams. Besides some payment issues, she's doing pretty well on Twitch, you can tell she's much happier recently and has befriended many content creators of all kinds. Although I hope she makes a few adjustments that could benefit everyone, like opening a second channel for VODs or try out multisteaming to help her videos get noticed by the algorhytmn.
She has made a lot of progress and I think it's only a matter of time before she feels confident enough to stream on TH-cam more often besides sponsorships. Of course I understand why she would feel hesitant to do so and I respect her choice if she doesn't want to, her happiness and safety comes first. I'm sure everyone would welcome her return with open arms, drowning the antis with the love and support of literal millions.

I mean, for a semi-professional tournament of Vtubers, I didn't expect it to be taken so seriously like an official one with rewards. I guess it's the nature of playing competitive games. Everybody in this tournament were probably confident in their own skills.

And she actually won(first place) *TWICE* in the CR Cup:
Her 1st win: Cpt, Noah Towa(Season7?)
Her 2nd win: Selly, Albio, Towa(Last CR Cup)
Pretty sad for Towa.
Her best character (Gib) are out of meta this seasons and with less time to practice a new character before she joined result in her bad performance.
Poor Axel and Altare didn't get mentioned
It was a good journey until end up in pretty much a ‘bad breakup’. I mean it was TSB this TSB that the week before. Now, nobody make a clip about their actual tourney performance like it some kind of a sore spot.

@@Maityist stage anxiety basically. Their performance/judgement got very degraded from the scrim. And each game it got degraded even more.
Axel has put out his thought on one of his stream, and selen has written a twitter thread mentioning her condition/thought.
@@YulHolic24 There’s a clip of Axel reflecting about how he feels about the VSaikyo and the journey with TSB. He said he got so emotional at the end, he cut the stream early with a quick goodbye. He didn’t wanna show that side.
I saw Towa’s team did just as poorly on results, had no idea she felt like that.
Then again, Selen made a long Twitter thread about her thoughts and feelings about VSaikyo. It was pretty rough on her confidence. Next time if there’s ever another Apex Tourney, she will not stream her POV till she feels she’s adequate enough
