I like the name across the top. I see where having the name in the center, but the across the top still looks better. On the lefty, the horizontal position would be backwards on the head, so how it looks. At the top for the lefty, it would incline up to match the edge.

I like the kit idea, body and neck, then the buyer can select the pickups, tuners, etc.
On the aluminum stock, did you try some steel wool? That would also clean up marks on the stock from mishandling at the store.
